In the Wednesday, August 11, 2021, full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Sami confronted Lucas about giving Philip the letter, EJ calls Kristen, and Chloe and Philip have a lovers’ spat. In case you missed out, on The last Days of our Lives episode Sami stopped EJ from stabbing Lucas.
EJ jumps on a call in his bedroom and thanks someone for finding “her” number. He calls Kristen quietly and tells her he finally got her letter. As they talk, he reveals, “Believe me, I have plans. That cheating slut will be gone by dinner.” In the living room, Lucas admits he’s sorry to Sami, about how this went down but he was worried EJ would have killed her. Sami cries that he couldn’t leave well enough alone. She knows that he took the letter from the fire. He did but he explains he didn’t give it to Nicole. Sami yells, “Now you’re the hero?” Lucas didn’t give the letter to Philip. Sami doesn’t believe him. Lucas shakes his head, miserably and Sami continues her vitriol. Lucas admits she did want EJ to know. Lucas wants to be with her but he didn’t do it because he didn’t want to hurt her. He admits he was upset, confided in his brother about his feelings for her, and EJ. Sami bitches, “Whatever happened to discretion?” She cries and Lucas again states he never meant to hurt her. Sami smiles. They made Nicole’s year. Her whole decade. Lucas vows to be there for Sami. He loves her. Maybe it’s for the best. “Maybe this is our chance to finally get back together again.” Sami says that this is what they do. She’ll wait for EJ to come around. Back upstairs, EJ finds Sami’s necklace and flashes to giving it to her. He looks devastated and goes downstairs. Sami tells Lucas to go and EJ says Harold put her bags in her car. He holds the necklace and tells her, “You left this in our room. Something else in our marriage you discarded.” He drops it and tell her to consider it payment for services rendered. Sami picks it up. She’s not giving up. She knows he loves her so she’ll ask Gabi to let her stay. “You can’t get rid of me that easily,” she says, sauntering off with a grin. He tells his father’s portrait that Sami won’t get away with humiliating him.
NBCAva walks into Nicole’s open door and finds Nicole in Rafe’s arms. He’s comforting her. She clears her throat and asks if she’s interrupting. Rafe asks why she’s there. Nic says she’s not sick but not having the best day. Rafe was just comforting her over Eric. She explains that Eric returned and the romance was short-lived. She shares that they had a family party and it was perfect until Xander showed up. Ava realizes he learned that she slept with Xander and is now divorcing her. Rafe’s surprised Ava knew but Nicole says she confided in her. They discuss how Sami paid Xander to ruin her marriage. Eric’s on a plane back to Africa. Ava is angry on her friend’s behalf. “Nicole, she’s not going to get away with this. I’m going to pay her back.” Nic admits she did. She tells her about the payback and that Sami almost killed her but Rafe saved her. She asks why Ava’s there. Ava admits she’s looking for a job. Nicole likes the idea of her working at Basic Black. Ava suggests they table it and the three of them head out for dinner. She flashes to Nic telling her that Rafe has a Sir Gallahad thing going on and recalls telling Nicole she thought she wanted Rafe for herself. She remembers telling Rafe she thought he was into Nicole. It’s awkward when nobody says a word.

At Titan, Philip’s computer is frozen. It finally clears as Chloe arrives to take him for a celebratory dinner. They’ll celebrate her newly working arm, “And us.” He’s not into it. She thinks they should collaborate between Titan and Basic Black, which would mean they can use her corporate card. He says Brady already shot them down. He doesn’t want to go there. She admits it was kind of a joke. “Yeah well, here’s an idea. Why don’t you have dinner with Brady?” He asks, sneering. He waited for her at the pub and she never returned. She says it was late. He asks if she got his text. She didn’t and pulls out her phone. She’s sorry but she didn’t see it. She was so tired, she went straight home to her room. “At least it wasn’t Brady’s.” Chloe tells him, “Excuse me? Brady’s my friend.” Philip’s jealousy is hard to bear so she almost walks out. He apologizes and she asks him to trust her or they won’t stand a chance. He says she’s right. “I need to grow the hell up. I’m damned lucky to have you in my life.” They kiss and he reveals being in the middle of a mess between Sami and Lucas. He details how he knew about the letter EJ got from Kristen and how he intercepted it to give it to Nicole, so she could out Sami to EJ. Chloe shrugs it off, knowing Lucas isn’t above using questionable methods to get what he wants. She reminds Philip that his brother lied to him that he had a brain tumor. And besides, Sami deserves it. Lucas interrupts them kissing later, and asks to talk. Chloe takes off and Lucas shares what happened with Sami. Philip offers to fix this. He’ll ensure Sami knows this was his idea. Lucas snipes that she wants nothing to do with him. “But she loves you,” Philip argues. “She loves him more, man. I don’t stand a chance.” Philip offers comfort and walks him home, while the installation on the keylogger is complete.

At Rafe’s place, Gabi tells Jake they’ll take over Titan and then the world. Jake asks how she did this. She had to make a slight modification to Philip’s computer. She put a keylogger on it. Jake has no idea what that is. She explains it tracks everything he does. Jake likes that idea. Gabi says they’ll gather information and learn how he does business and then they’ll take him down. Jake smiles and calls her a diabolical genius. They smooch passionately. She gloats and he tells her, “Maybe I could be CEO. Uh?” Gabi doesn’t like that at all. She argues that this is her idea. He has experience. So does she. They go back and forth. She thinks that he doesn’t want her to be his boss. She calls him chauvinistic. He denies that, but then says, “You’re my girlfriend.” Their arguing turns to sex and they go romp.

Sami knocks on Gabi’s door and someone comes up and chloroforms her. She drops the necklace and is dragged off.
