In the Thursday, September 9, 2021, fourth full episode recap of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. In this episode, the gemstones are found, and Austin is confronted, while Chad wins a special title. New Orleans, Louisiana
Ben and Ciara get ready for tonight’s festivities. Ciara gets into her Greta Von Amberg role and dons a spectacular dress and puts on the tiara Billie gave her. She’s excited to have her own adventure, reminded of her mother and father’s past adventures. Ben will be Austin Reed. He has studied who Austin is and talks about going in to “retrieve the purple pin.” She laughs, “The amethyst brooch.” He shrugs. How hard can it be? Ciara feels his hard abs and they make out passionately. “Much harder,” he says. Ben talks about the Virtual Garden of Eden story he read in the dossier. Ciara says it was a test for Greta to prove she was worthy of the crown. He thinks it sounds weird. They start making out and practice their tango.

On a call with Shane outside of Kyle’s hotel room, Billie says she and Agent Graham left her nephew Will in charge back in Arizona. They thought it was more pressing to get back there to deal with the sapphire. They’re meeting with the seller tonight and as long as “that little weasel Leo Stark doesn’t screw it up. He’s a wild card,” she says. Shane says they’re working on finding the other two gems. Whoever took ruby from Johannesburg has the citrine. Billie reveals the nun who took the sapphire is Kristen DiMera. She’s rounding up her new partner. Shane asks how he is. She knocks on Kyle’s door and he answers it wet. Billie stammers, “He’s fine. Let me get back to you.” He talked about how busy the gym was. He couldn’t get to his biceps. “They’re fine,” she says. He grins. She shows him her muscles and he tells her he read about Kristen DiMera. He calls her a total menace. “She was also a good friend of mine,” Billie reveals. They were really close, her and their friend Jennifer Horton. Kyle grins. “Do I wanna know what kind of a good time?” She says they shopped, had dance parties and stuff before Kristen took a dark turn. It’s been a few years since she saw Kristen. She thinks she knows where to find her old friend. Later, Ben and Ciara arrive at the masquerade ball. Ben wants to use code names. Ross and Rachel…Meg and Harry. Soon, Ben sees the Faversham’s coming. Lili’s granddaughter isn’t wearing the brooch. Miles and Sophie introduce themselves. Miles kisses Ciara’s hand and gives her the eye, while they discuss Gina being an old friend of Lili’s. Ben talks about his tango being rusty and Miles says that’s not the kind of party this is. Sophie asks if they’ve ever seen Tom Cruise’s movie, Eyes Wide Shut. Ben hasn’t but loves Tom Cruise. As he goes on about all of Cruise’s amazing movies, Ciara tries to get his attention to tell him it’s a sex party. Ben looks around and sees couples making out around him. Ben and Ciara watch a couple go at it nearby. Ben comments on their flexibility. Sophie says this spices up their marriage. They start making out wildly. Ben looks put out so Sophie says he’s welcome to leave if it’s not his thing. Ciara convinces him to stay while Miles offers Ciara a private tour. “Absolutely not,” Ben says. Ciara takes him aside and convinces him to let her go off with Miles, though he finds the whole scene disgusting and freakish. Once they’re gone, Sophie tells Ben she knows he’s not Austin Reed. She took a yoga class with Austin and Carrie in Switzerland once. Ben realizes the jig is up but Sophie’s not worried. She figures they used their names to get in. She can’t blame him for roleplaying and wants them to stay. “Half the people here are using aliases.” She tells him she wants him to “take me, right there, right now.” Ben can barely breathe as she starts touching him. Meanwhile, Miles brings Ciara to his room. They kiss and he can tell she’s nervous. He takes off his jacket and unbuttons his shirt. She asks to take the lead and asks for restraints. He’s into it and gives her fuzzy handcuffs. She restrains his wrists, legs and blindfolds him. She gets to work rummaging through the drawers and lies that she’s getting undressed. She tickles him with a feather and tells him she likes being in control. He asks for candle wax on his nipples. She finds the ring in a box and takes off. Downstairs, Ben says he’s never done it before. If he doesn’t participate, she will have to ask him to leave. She rips off his shirt and kisses him. He stammers and Ciara turns up. Sophie kisses her hand and wants her to join them. Ciara says they need to go. She drags Ben away for “princessing duties,” and Sophie spots another couple to have sex with. Later, she goes to her room and tells her husband they’ve been had. She removes the blindfold and kissed him. Back at their hotel, Ben feels bad about rolling over like a dog. Ben hopes they don’t have to “resort” to sex parties in the future. They kiss.
Phoenix, Arizona
Leo walks in on Chad undressing. “You and I are spending the night together,” he reveals. Chad buttons up and kicks him out. Sonny and Will appear and Chad tells them Leo wants sex. Leo says to get his mind out of the gutter. He’s going to help retrieve the gem. “But if you’re into the other thing…” Chad yells, “No! No!” Leo says they need the DiMera name to entice the seller. Chad says it’s fine. “Keep me away from Leo the letch.” Much later, Chad, Leo, Sonny and Will arrive at a gay club. Leo calls it the hottest club in town. They’re meeting the seller there. Will says this really isn’t their scene. Leo thinks they need to get out more. Jackie won’t be there but they’re meeting somebody tall, beautiful and fabulous. Someone strolls up. “Sounds like you guys are looking for moi.” Leo introduces Sonny and Will as the most boring couple in the southwest to Cory Blake. Leo introduces Chad as his bae. “No. I’m not your bae,” he says. Chad wants to buy the gem but she’s not ready to sell. She’s had it for years. One of them has to win tonight’s Drag Queen competition. Chad has a meltdown especially when he learns he has to wear heels. Leo can’t participate. He’s barred from all regional Drag Queen competitions for something involving wig snatching and an oversized cucumber. Chad worries to Sonny that he might be an ugly woman. Later, the men change into drag and Sonny Delight turns up as a redhead. She struts her thing and falls. She’s finished. Wilhelmina Shakespeare strolls out. Will’s uncomfortable and renamed Amanda Bottom. She struts her stuff and Sonny Delight kisses her hand. She starts dancing. Cory calls her a Pasty Janet Jackson. Bolinda Chinaship shows up. She’s glorious and has an attitude. Bolinda dances and wins everyone over. She wins the emerald. Later, they are given free drinks and Sonny and Will talk about taking dance lessons, which is why Will did such a good job out there. Later, they wonder where Leo and the emerald is. Outside, Leo holds the emerald and calls it almost as mesmerizing as his eyes. Shane appears.

Zurich, Switzerland
Carrie and Austin are basking in the afterglow of sex. Austin missed ‘that’. They’re glad they worked things out, despite his romantic gesture. Carrie says she doesn’t need an expensive gift. He forgives her for Rafe. He wishes Kristen hadn’t stolen the necklace. They start kissing and hope that Billie finds it and gets it back to the Alamainian government. They’re ready for sex when a text comes in. Austin has to go on a business trip for a few days. They make love. Later, John shows up with pastry for his “pumpkin.” He gives her apple strudel. They eat and Austin goes to print his boarding pass out. When he’s gone, Carrie finds the ruby and the citrine gemstones in his bag. She and John are rocked. When Austin returns they confront him.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Billie and Kyle discuss how Kristen was there in the past with Brady and their daughter. This cafe was their favorite spot and Billie assumes she’s missing her little girl. They spot a blonde at a table and Billie says to follow her lead. She sits down at the blonde’s table. “Hi Kristen, long time no see.” Kristen smiles. Billie introduces the agent. “Ma’am,” he says. “He seems like a lot of fun,” Kristen comments. She assumes Billie’s there to arrest her but she isn’t sure for which crime. Billie says it’s for the stolen necklace. Kristen confesses why she had to nun it up, causing Kyle to be surprised she’s opening up. Kristen says she was paid to steal it. She won’t say who paid her and admits she’s holding a gun to Kyle and will make him a Ken Doll if Billie doesn’t run along. Billie doesn’t think she’ll do it. She takes out her gun.” I love you, but this behavior is not okay with me,” she says. Kristen tells her to spare her the lecture. “Why don’t you have a piece of bread and chill.” She reminds Billie of blaming Hope for her miscarriage and sleeping with her daughter’s boyfriend Nick. Kyle tries to interrupt. Billie argues that they weren’t even dating yet. “I don’t care, it’s still gross,” Kristen snipes. She reminds her of her porn career and her drug problem. Billie stands up and throws water in Kristen’s face. She’s had enough of you, “You beast!” Kristen gets up and tosses the table on Kyle, who falls to the ground. Kristen take off with Billie after her. Billie returns with the necklace. Kristen dropped it! They talk about Billie’s past but none of it bothered him. He admires her more. She’s stunned. He calls her the most extraordinary and beautiful woman he’s met. They kiss.
