Thursday, May 6, 2020: On today’s full episode recap of Days of our Lives, Ava comes to Tripp’s rescue, Shawn and Belle get evidence, and Allie and Chanel reunite.
Days’ Wednesday recap – Drunken Xander tries to sell Sarah’s ring.
At the hospital, Dr. Snyder tells Tripp that his job isn’t to comfort. It’s to treat. Tripp thought it was both. Snyder points his finger at Tripp, touching his chest when Ava walks in and asks him to take his damned hands off her son. Introductions are made and Snyder tells her most hospitals would have terminated him if they learned he was accused of rape. Ava goes off on him but Tripp clears things up. They’re happy he’s taking a chance on him. Snyder goes and Ava says he has no idea who he’s dealing with. Tripp explains what Snyder was going off on him for, that he was comforting Allie over Henry’s fever. Ava smirks, knowingly. Tripp says he can’t be with Allie because of their history. It’d be too weird. Ava tells her son about her date with the cop. She knows it sounds funny since she was a mob boss. Tripp’s surprised to hear he kissed her. He’s happy since he’s a great idea. Ava mentions that Nicole wasn’t fine with it to begin with. Ava would like if he and Allie got together.
At home, Nicole looks at the bear Rafe gave her and thinks about Ava’s accusation that she wants Rafe for herself. Nic thrusts it in a bag.
John finds Rafe at SPD. Rafe says Trask is furious that he won’t incriminate Belle. Justin’s at the courthouse trying to get the tape thrown out. John tells Rafe they have to find that son-of-a-bitch and nail their ass to a wall. Later, Nicole finds Rafe in his office and says she violated their custody agreement and kept the bear too long. He laughs and takes the bear from her hands. He missed them both. Rafe heard she’s not happy that he kissed Ava. Nicole claims Ava misread the situation. They’re different people is all. Rafe admits he’s taking Ava on a date tonight. Nicole’s obviously not happy. She admits she’s jealous. He’s spending a night with Ava and she hasn’t seen Eric in forever. Nic admits he’s coming home, “Any day now.” Rafe suggests they rethink the whole custody agreement with Duke the bear. “I don’t want Eric getting the wrong idea about us.” Nic smiles and says not to be silly. They’re friends. Nic claims she doesn’t want Rafe to get hurt again. He’s grateful. She wants to give him the bear since she doesn’t think they’ll see each other much. Rafe suggests they double date. Nic doubts that’ll happen and then Rafe agrees.
Claire appears at the pub, angry to have overheard Jan telling herself she’ll soon become Mrs. Jan Brady. Jan explains that she’s allowing herself to think of her future, now that Belle’s going to prison. Claire says her mom swears she didn’t do it. Jan claims they should revere her for keeping a rapist away from women permanently. Besides, Jan thinks Claire should be excited that she’ll be her stepmother. Claire wants nothing to do with her. Jan is shocked, “After everything I did for you…” Claire questions her. She was caring and compassionate. They’re friends. Claire denies that. She tells Jan to get a life and goes. Jan killed for her once, she will do it again to get what she wants.
At the townhouse, Shawn says Jan was in a coma the night Charlie was shot. Belle thinks Jan might have woken up earlier than April 1. Dr. Snyder told her he’d noticed a change to Jan’s brain activity days before Charlie’s murder. Shawn realizes Belle thinks she woke up, snuck out of the hospital, killed Charlie, and snuck back in. Marlena says she was in ICU, being monitored 24/7. Shawn and Belle go to find Dr. Snyder.

Allie meets Roman on the park bench where he’s caring for Henry. She’s trying to find a job and not having success. Roman is comforting and supportive. Roman wants to babysit some more since Henry’s been sleeping. He urges her to take a break. He goes for a walk and Allie runs into Chanel. They scream and hug, “Dupree,” says Allie, as Chanel says, “Horton?” They’re old friends. They haven’t seen each other in two years. Chanel’s surprised at how she’s dressed. They learn they’re both looking for jobs. Chanel suggests a drink instead. Allie’s in.
Back at the hospital, Belle and Shawn are in Snyder’s office. Shawn shows his badge and tells Snyder that Jan Spears may have been involved in a murder. They want to know when she woke up. Snyder says he needs a warrant for security tapes. Shawn says he’ll get one but in the meantime, it’ll be leaked to the press. Snyder will see what he can do. He finds the recordings and in February is where Shawn and Belle start watching. They eventually see Jan poking her head out of the room on February 14. She was awake! Snyder returns and they show him the image of Jan. He’s astounded. He calls her deranged to go to such lengths. He refuses to let the hospital pay for some homicidal woman’s issues. He goes and Shawn doesn’t want to take this to the cops. Trask won’t accept it and it doesn’t prove Jan killed Charlie. They need more evidence.

John returns home and he and Marlena share what’s been going on. He tells her that Justin’s in court trying to get Belle’s case thrown out and Marlena says Shawn and Belle have an idea of who set her up.
Chanel and Allie drink at Julie’s Place. Chanel says she’s in the midst of getting a divorce. She explains she thought he was rich and he wasn’t. They sip cocktails and Allie admits she had a baby. Chanel’s shocked. She moons over photos and asks about the daddy. Allie says he’s dead, murdered. Chanel’s sorry but Allie says he wasn’t a good person. Later, she has filled her friend in on everything about Charlie and Tripp and how Allie’s not sure she can be with Tripp because of their past. The women dish on all the fun they had in London. Allie loves Henry and knows she has to be a grown-up but she misses those days. They laugh and reminisce about how free they were.
Ava runs into Nicole and asks to help her pick something from Basic Black for her date.
Tripp runs into Roman outside the park. Roman says Allie told him how great he was at taking care of him. He tells Tripp that Allie’s at Julie’s Place. Tripp takes off. He walks in on Allie and Chanel sharing a kiss.
