Monday, Dec 18: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Zende and RJ argue about Ridge, Ridge beats himself up about his choice, and Steffy tells Finn she will always be grateful for what he’s done.
Friday’s Early B&B recap:
Stephanie appeared to Eric after surgery, telling him, “Oh my God you’re here.”
The blinds of Eric’s room at the hospital are closed. Finn tells his family they need to try to focus on the positive.
Ridge points out his father flatlined during the operation. Finn and Bridget explain he started bleeding but they managed to stabilize him.
They brought him to recovery and then they lost him briefly before he came back.
Ridge says none of this should have happened. Finn says Eric’s condition is critical and Brooke says they need to believe he will pull through.
They pace and Donna and Katie text their sister to say they are on their way.
Brooke tells Ridge to go home and rest but he can’t leave his father struggling because of him.
They rehash Eric’s chances and Ridge continues to wish he’d let his father go peacefully instead of having him hooked up to tubes.
Sitting down, Ridge says this isn’t fair. They should have let Eric go.
Brooke, Steffy, and Finn all repeat that Eric didn’t know this treatment was an option.
Ridge says this isn’t about survival, it’s about quality of life.
Bridget is just glad her father has a chance. Brooke assures Ridge he’s doing this out of love for his father.
He can’t help thinking about how Eric passed over and could have been at peace when they pulled him back for treatment they don’t know will work.
Now his dad is trapped in his body and it’s because of him.
Steffy and Finn go to his office so he can change his shirt.
She tells him they have hope now because of him. She can’t believe he’s been working day and night for this.
The family couldn’t be more grateful. He just hopes he’s done enough and holds her.
The doctor gets called with an update on Eric. Nothing has changed. It’s frustrating to wait.
Steffy loves him for all he’s done but it’s out of his hands now. She can never thank him enough.

B&B December comings and goings
At Forrester Creations, RJ and Luna sit on the couch. He didn’t sleep all night and can’t imagine life without his granddad.
Luna tries to be positive. He loves that.
As they giggle and talk about last night, Zende eavesdrops at the door. He listens to them say how much they love each other and smirks.
They kiss until he clears his throat. He informs them that Eric is still critical.
They talk about what’s been happening at the hospital. Zende is livid that Ridge was reluctant to take a chance on treatment.
RJ stands up for his father and his difficult position.
Luna reminds them all that Eric told them to love each other.
Zende appreciates that but he thinks Ridge has been cold and heartless. RJ can’t believe he’s being serious. He’s sure this has been torture for Ridge.
RJ repeats that Eric wanted to be taken off the machines and letting that happen would only have been honoring his wishes.
They drop it and try to be positive. Zende wishes that Eric’s collection was finished so it could be out in the world.
Ridge and Brooke arrive in the office. He needed to be there for a minute and feel the place where his father spent his best years.
Brooke repeats that he is giving his father a second chance. When he comes back, he will be happy.
RJ enters and asks for an update. Brooke leaves them alone.
They talk about how concerned everyone in the building is about Eric. Ridge says they need to find a way to keep the company going in Eric’s absence.
He’s determined to do that and wants RJ by his side. He thinks that his dad’s last collection should be fulfilled.
He doesn’t know what his father’s vision was, but RJ does, so he thinks they should finish it together and make Eric proud.
They hug on it.
Meanwhile, back in the other office, Zende asks Luna about where her love of fashion comes from.
She’s always been a dreamer and Forrester Collections always spoke to her the most.
He finds it touching how much she cares about Eric. She says to know him is to love him.
Admitting an unfinished sketch, Zende vows to do whatever it takes to finish this collection.
Brooke returns to the hospital and sits with Eric, stroking his hand and weeping.
