Wendnesday, Dec 27: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge thanks Finn for saving Eric, Steffy accuses Hope of leading her brother on, and Hope wishes everyone would back off.
Tuesday’s Early B&B recap: Worried her brother could spiral again, Steffy demanded to know if Hope really loves Thomas.
Ridge stops by the hospital. His dad is having tests so he goes to see Finn.
They talk about Eric’s condition.
Ridge was hoping that his father would be improving faster.
He wants to make sure they are getting the same guy back.
Or is that asking too much?
The doctor can’t see into the future.
All he can see is where Eric is now and say where he hopes he will be in the next few months.
So far, he has met all the markers.
He came back to a family he gets a lot of strength from.
Finn says this has taken a toll on the whole family and is sure it has been hard on Ridge.
Ridge admits he has been scared by all of this but he will always be grateful to Finn for bringing his dad back.
The doctor admits that he doesn’t know what he would have done in Ridge’s situation. He admits there have been times when it may have been kinder to let a patient go.
Ridge says that’s the rub. They rehash the impossible situation he was in and how the rest of the family begged him to change his mind.
Finn is sure he will continue to struggle with this until they see significant improvement from Eric.
If his dad loses speed, he will feel responsible.
There is progress every day and they need to celebrate that.
Ridge knows none of this could happen without Finn.
A few days ago, he was contemplating life without his dad and now he has him to be grateful for.
Finn was just doing his job and doing it for Steffy and her family.
They hug.

At Forrester Creations, Thomas urges Steffy to back down when she barges in on him and Hope.
She says she’s just being a protective sister and wants to know how Hope really feels about him.
He reminds his little sister he’s a grown-ass man.
She knows they have gotten closer since Rome and demands to know if Hope can really reciprocate his love.
Hope says she has feelings for him. Steffy wants to know she loves him.
Thomas thinks his sister doesn’t want them to succeed.
Steffy has her doubts about whatever they have and she’s worried that Hope is leading him on.
She can’t even answer a simple question about loving him and she won’t let him undermine all the progress he’s made.
He knows she’s trying to look out for him but Hope has been honest about her feelings.
Steffy is skeptical and asks her if she really wants a future with Thomas.
Has she thought about what this is doing to Douglas?
Hope finally says this is none of her business and she refuses to discuss it with her.
Steffy dredges up Thomas’ old feelings for Hope and he says people change,
His sister is sure that he will be heartbroken because Hope won’t love him the way he deserves to be.
He asks for a moment alone with his sister and accuses her of trying to ruin his relationship.
She asks if Hope really loves him. He reminds her that Hope was married before and this is their chance.
He’s confident that they can have a future.
His sister wonders if Hope has said anything concrete about that.
He admits she hasn’t.
That seems like a sign to her but he says he can wait.
Steffy continues to doubt this and he starts rubbing his face.
He can’t explain how amazing being intimate with Hope has been.
This is more than his sister wants to hear.
Thomas repeats that he’s not getting obsessed with Hope, but he loves her.
She may not have said she loves him, but she does love him for things.
Steffy thinks he can’t accept that Hope doesn’t love him.
As they argue, Finn arrives in the hall and eavesdrops as Thomas tells her to back off.
The doctor bursts in and orders him not to speak to her that way.
Ridge goes to the office and chats with Hope.
He tells her about thanking Finn.
She thinks that he’s a remarkable doctor and wishes Steffy would focus on that instead of giving her and Thomas a hard time.
She fills him in on Hope putting her and Thomas on the spot again.
Ridge asks her how she feels about his son. He doesn’t want to pry and won’t interfere in his son’s love life as long as he makes healthy choices.
She wishes everyone else got that message. She’s just trying to live in the moment and see where her heart takes her.
That’s worked out pretty well for her mother and she wishes people would give her and Thomas the space to figure things out.
If everyone keeps violating their boundaries, she worries it could lead to trouble.
