Friday, July 28 recap of B&B: Liam tries to turn Steffy against Finn, Deacon worries about Sheila’s plans, and Kelly gets swept up in the ocean current
Thursday’s B&B recap: Liam Tries Convincing Steffy That Finn Can’t Be Trusted & That He Loves Her, as Finn Tells Li He Had a Strong Reaction to Sheila
At Cliff Shide House Liam visits Steffy since she hasn’t responded to any of his texts.
Liam encourages Steffy to talk to Finn about the video, even though she claims she’s not sure exactly what it shows.
At a minimum, he is concerned about how Finn could show a psychopath Like Sheila, compassion.
Liam reminds Steffy of how easily Sheila treats people without any sort of compassion whatsoever.
Steffy steps up for Finn when Liam claims this incident calls in his judgment as well as his loyalty.
She says Finn has been nothing but protective and supportive of her and the kids.
Steffy claims they are his number one priority. Liam remarks back about that being so before Sheila entered the picture.
Liam refuses to just sit back and watch Steffy, Kelly, and Hayes be hurt by the likes of Shelia.
Steffy is insulted when Liam suggests that she would allow anyone, even Finn, hurt her children.
Liam claims Finn obviously has some feelings for Sheila and that is creating an open invitation for her to come into all of their lives.
He claims he’s not there to undermine her marriage, but he cannot ignore this.
She insists that she knows what Sheila is capable of, but she is sure that Finn will protect them. She has no doubts about any of that.
Steffy gets a phone call about Kelly being dropped off with Finn and about them heading to the beach.
She says there’s no telling where Sheila could be now that she is out of prison.
She agrees this is upsetting, but Finn is her husband and he has given her no reason to not trust him.
Steffy instructs him to stop, but Liam refuses. He says he has a good gut and he can feel something horrible is going to happen.
At Deacon’s apartment, he sits alone at the table when Sheila enters the door.
He’s glad she is out of jail and so is she.
The two of them share a kiss.
Sheila declares everything is coming up roses for her and there is nothing that is going to stop her from being in her son’s life.
Deacon admits that it worries him when she talks like that.
She explains it’s all about second chances, and she is not gonna waste the one she’s been given. Sheila plans to make the most of her newly found freedom.
Deacon worries again and suggests that she should probably try to keep a low profile.
He warns her of the typical cycle her life takes of getting her hopes up and then taking drastic measures to make things happen.
He realizes he is missing some piece of the puzzle. Sheila explains that Finn came to her and did not look at her with fear or judgment. For the first time, it’s as if he saw her as a person. Sheila goes on to describe their hug.
That’s the feeling that neither of them will ever forget, she declares.
She declares he should never underestimate the bond between a mother and her son.
Shelia says she is going to do everything she needs to in order to convince them of how she’s changed.
She goes to leave and kisses Deacon on the cheek. He is curious about where she is headed off to so quickly.
Sheila informs him she is going to see her son right now and that it can’t be put off any longer.

Daily B&B spoilers into August
At the hospital, Finn sits in his office waiting on Kelly to be dropped off.
The nurse tells him how sorry she is to hear of Shelia’s release, and Finn has flashbacks of Sheila thanking and hugging him as she was being released.
Kelly is brought in by the nurse and Finn and she agrees that they are still on for their trip to the beach.
They agree it’s time to go make sand castles and prepare to head out to the beach now.
Finn and Kelly are building castles in the sand, gathering shells, and splashing in the water, having a fabulous time at the beach.
From a distance, Sheila watches from a pop-up umbrella tent.
He reminds Kelly of the importance of always being careful around water.
Finn’s phone rings and he has difficulty getting good reception.
He puts in his earbuds and briefly turns away, and Kelly darts off into the ocean.
Sheila sees what’s happening and hesitates momentarily before running in after her while screaming out her name.
