Monday, July 3, 2023, full episode recap of B&B: Steffy sends Liam home to his wife, Thomas can’t forget Hope and Rome, and Brooke thinks Thomas is to blame
Friday’s B&B recap: Finn doubts that Liam and Hope’s relationship will survive, Liam tells Wyatt he’s moving in with their dad, and Hope tells RJ that Liam has left her.
At the cliffside house, Steffy pushes away Liam’s advances toward her. She tells him that he cannot come to her home and kiss her like that. She insists that she is a happily married woman.
She says she could excuse away the kiss in Rome as being impulsive and a direct result of him seeing his wife kiss another man. Although she understands that, she cannot excuse this behavior away as easily.
Steffy insists that this, whatever this is, can never happen again. Liam agrees and apologizes.
They’ve both moved on and she is in a relationship where she feels loved, wanted, and respected. She defends her brother when Liam lashes out about how Hope could possibly want someone like Thomas.
Steffy doesn’t know how to comfort him with this, but declares a kiss with her is not the answer. She hopes he will find his way back to his wife. If that doesn’t happen, he needs to understand they will forever be connected by sharing a daughter, but that is it.
Steffy sits with Liam and reminds him of the beautiful family he shares with Hope and that he must forgive her. She reminds him that Hope has forgiven him for making these same types of mistakes.
She thinks aloud that maybe Hope will step away from FC for a bit and focus on her marriage, thus placing distance between Thomas and her. Liam says he still doesn’t know how he would be able to trust his wife, even if she were to do that.
Liam apologizes once again for his behavior today.
She’s glad to hear it and reassures Liam that it would be a terrible mistake to think she would leave Finn and her life to be with him again.
She suggests again that he leave and go home to his wife and family.
What happened in Rome and at her house today should never be brought up again, she insists and sends him on his way.
At the cabin, Hope listens as her brother repeats the obvious to her.
She says she has a strong feeling Liam is going to leave her over this.
Brooke enters and can sense the tension of there being a big problem, and wants to know what it is.
Hope explains Liam walked out on her and on their marriage and that she believes it is over.
Brooke is puzzled as to why Liam would possibly leave her. She is baffled that Rome is an issue, being that it was a huge success.
RJ nods for his sister to go ahead and give their mother the details.
Brooke immediately places all the blame on Thomas until Brooke explains it was all her doing.
RJ and Brooke listen intently as Hope explains how she kissed the one man that could destroy everything in her life.
Brooke pleads for Hope to tell her that Thomas did this and that he pulled her unwillingly into the kiss. Hope proclaims that it wasn’t him. She tells her mother she wanted it and she is the one who initiated it, not Thomas.

Brooke wants to know if she wants a life with Thomas. Hope says she doesn’t understand why she would risk losing it all this way.
Hope is ashamed and embarrassed, and wants more than anything to save her marriage.
Meanwhile, at FC, Ridge informs Thomas how the orders from Rome are piling in and that he is proud he should be proud of his work.
Ridge says Hope must be happy with her agreeing for Thomas to return to work at FC.
In fact, Ridge can see no reason that even Thomas could object after seeing the results.
Ridge declares Thomas is important to Hope and that he has made a big impact on her life.
They both agree that any of this would have been hard to imagine looking back a year ago. Ridge insists that Thomas has earned her respect personally and professionally.
Ridge delights it is wonderful to have his son back there with him and being over his obsession with Hope.
Ridge changes the focus of the topic to his relationship with Brooke. He’s thankful that Thomas is giving his support and crosses his fingers Hope will be understanding. That would be a good start, he believes.
Now alone in the office, Thomas remembers spending happy moments with Hope in Rome.
