Thursday, July 13 Y&R day ahead recap: Diane encourages Kyle to give his marriage a chance, and Nate welcomes Lily as his neighbor, and Summer tells Chance her mom will turn herself in.
Friday’s Y&R day ahead: Billy asked Diane to resign, Kyle wanted Mariah to quit Jabot in solidarity, while Jack was paranoid that Victor would go after Jabot.

Chance finds Summer drinking a latte at Crimson Lights.
She has some news for her. The cop wonders if that’s good or bad.
She explains her mom is ready to turn herself in and this nightmare might finally be over. All will be “okay.”
“I think you and I have very different definitions of that word,” he says, before asking about her separation. She keeps talking about her mom and claims she’s ready to face charges.
The detective wonders what’s changed and suspects that there will be an attempt to manipulate the law. She’s just ready for this to be over. She’s lost so much and misses Harrison.
It’s her fault that she gutted her marriage with lies. She’s not sure she deserves to be forgiven. Has he forgiven Abby?
Chance says it’s a process and takes time. Summer can’t wait and is desperate to fix her marriage.
She can’t do that until this is over, even if she has to face charges.
Christine walks in and wonders what’s going on.
Chance says there could be some movement with Phyllis but nothing actionable right now.
Summer rushes off and the cop tells the DA that Phyllis is ready to turn herself in. She assumes there must be some angle and they are trying to erase her multitude of crimes.
At the penthouse, Daniel helps Lily unpack. They joke about not having a picture of their wedding in Vegas.
They’re not the same people they were then. He’s glad about that. Everything feels new, fresh and exciting… aside from his mom, who is the same.
They kiss until Nate interrupts and walks in with a bottle of wine. He couldn’t be happier that his cousin moved in across the hall. Daniel makes an excuse and leaves them alone.
Nate is really happy she’s moved in.
She says they can have a drink but not pretend that everything is back to normal.
They toast and he offers to tell her anything she needs to know about the building. Lily knows they are family and she is trying to get past the anger and resentment but it will take some time.
He will always regret what he did and continue to say that until she believes him. She comments on how well things have panned out for him with Victoria. He thinks she’s a brilliant, dynamic woman.
She’s surprised he’s enamored with Victoria at all. He says that his feelings for her are genuine. She points out that this only throws all she did to her and Devon in their faces.
Nate reminds her of all the things that Devon did to her and Amanda but everyone is cool with him now. He feels like he is finally comfortable in his own skin.
That’s what terrifies her. Standing up, he declares that he made the effort and walks out.

Phyllis sneaks around the GCAC in her disguise. She meets with Carson in a room.
She didn’t think Michael would be able to find him so soon.
“Actually, I’m your miracle worker,” Tucker says, as he pops up.
Phyllis wasn’t going to turn herself in and asks if this is about the reward. He didn’t know there was one and says he has an offer for her.
Tucker says he’s offering her salvation. He’s her one shot at staying out of prison.
Michael, Victor and her kids are all searching for Carson to back up her claims of self-defense.
He’ll support Carson’s mom while he does time. Phyllis doesn’t understand why McCall is doing this.
Finally, she sits down and asks what this is about.
Tucker gives her some words of wisdom. These don’t make sense to her so he adds that he’s putting her in his debt. Without him, Carson disappears.
He sends the EMT to his suite. Phyllis asks how he got Carson on board. McCall says everyone has their price. Carson can stay or vanish.
Tucker says that while she was hiding out in her delightful hat and sunglasses, he got engaged to Ashley and they started their own company. They are going to take all her patents from Jabot and grind that company down. They want Diane out of the way, thrown off her game.
The best way to achieve that is to have Phyllis return victorious. She won’t help him take down the company that owns her daughter’s company.
He assures her Marchetti will come out of this unscathed. All she has to do is constantly annoy Diane until she’s tipped over the edge.
She can ruin Diane. What not to love?
Phyllis tells him there’s been too much pain. He tells her to look on the bright side and consider all the amends she can make.
If Kyle and Jack forgave Diane, she can get back her life too.
As he leaves, he says they never had this conversation. Moments later, Heather arrives and announces she has taken over her case. Michael had to jet off to Singapore to deal with Gloria’s legal tangle.
Phyllis freaks out. Heather says Daniel urged her to step in. She’s good so what’s it going to be?
The redhead knows she’s good and agrees. They sit down to work and discuss the importance of Carson’s testimony.
Phyllis is sure he will show up sooner or later.
Daniel and Summer arrive and thanks Heather for stepping in. After getting a text, Heather says that Carson has been located and is ready to cooperate.
Phyllis says she manifested it and it came to be.
She’s ready to turn herself in. What’s the next step? Heather calls Chance and announces she is taking over from Michael and her client is ready to turn herself in.
Tucker heads downstairs and sends Ashley a text saying there should be good news later.
Chance and Christine arrive in the lobby. Heather, Phyllis and her kids come down the stairs.
The DA is appalled to see Phyllis waft down the stairs like a prom queen after all she did to the people of the town, including her own children.
Heather keeps her client quiet and Chance places her under arrest before leading her out.
Tucker watches all this and has a little chuckle before sending a text.
Kyle jogs downstairs at the Abbott estate.
Diane greets him by the door but he’s eager to go. She thinks they should discuss his marriage.
Grabbing a drink, Diane says he’s avoiding his pain. Summer must regret what she did and his marriage can’t be over.
Her son insists that his wife burned their marriage to the ground. She points out he doesn’t have much experience seeing healthy relationships. There’s usually compromise and ebbs and flows.
He’s furious. His mom reminds him of her failures and urges him to put some faith into the foundations he’s built with Summer.
He doesn’t feel like he can maintain a relationship with her after what she did. Kyle can’t understand how she is siding with a woman who is clearly more like Phyllis than any of them thought.
His mom assures him that she is on his side. She is trying to look past what his wife did for his sake.
He knows she wants to help but he needs to get through this his own way. Giving her a hug, he tells her she’s a good mom at this second and he loves her for it. She doesn’t need to worry about him.
She gets a text from Tucker. It’s a picture of Phyllis being arrested with Summer at her side.

“I love seeing you this way,” Chance tells Sharon. They kiss.
“All I ask is that you keep an open mind. Don’t let your hatred of Phyllis keep you from doing the right thing,” Heather says to Christine.
“Yes or no, just say it! Tell me the truth!” Summer demands as she confronts Kyle about sleeping with Audra.
