Wed May 1, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Devon doesn’t trust Nate or Chance’s loyalties, Nikki has a nightmare, and Abby worries to Billy about where things are headed.
Tuesday’s recap: Cole and Victoria were reunited with Claire, and Alan flew in to meet with Ashley, thrilling Belle.

Billy joins Abby at Crimson Lights and they talk about all the family politics in the company.
None of that is new to her and she thinks the complications are fun.
He brings up having a board vote with her romantic partner. Billy wonders if Devon has sent her.
She’ll let that slide and says he doesn’t know they are meeting.
Abby just wanted to give him a heads up about where things seem to be going.
She doesn’t think this will play out in a pretty way. He thinks people just butt heads in business.
Abby explains that Devon thinks he’s making powerplays and asks what he’s really planning.
They debate about what’s best for the company and he claims that Devon is acting like any questioning of his authority is a threat.
Abby wants to facilitate a truce between her favorite guys but her uncle doesn’t think this can be hugged out.
He vents about how Devon refuses to work well with others and treats all disagreement as mutiny.
It sounds to her like he wants Devon out.
The company is her son’s legacy.
Billy claims he just wants to make room at the table.
She doesn’t believe it.
Devon and Nate have a drink at the jazz lounge.
“I need to know I can trust you,” Devon says to his cousin.
He tells him that Billy is trying to get Lily to side with him to push his agenda.
He has no proof of this, just a gut feeling.
His sister is upset with him that he knew about the Daniel and Heather situation.
He’s worried he can’t count on her vote anymore and could lose all say in the company.
They need to get Billy out.
Nate thinks.
This seems like a big move to him and suggests they all find a way to work together.
Devon doesn’t see the point and sees no reason to keep Billy around upsetting things.
Nate suggests this seems personal and he doesn’t like his authority challenged.
His cousin doesn’t think Billy has any legitimate claims on the company and suspects that he could get to Lily and unsettle things.
They debate how Billy could exploit the situation and Nate suggests he might be overreacting.
That’s hard for Devon to accept and he suggests Nate is turning on him.
Nate says he’s just stating an opinion and asks how Neil would feel.
Devon insists he’s only trying to protect his legacy.
Nate says that if he’s doubting his loyalty and Lily’s, then maybe they should get the Abbott out.
Chance wanders in and guesses he wasn’t supposed to hear that.
Devon doesn’t care and says he knows where his loyalty lies.
Chance thought their loyalties were supposed to be to the company.
It sounds to him like this is all about ego.
Nate agrees with this and says they need to get past this an unite.
Devon is confused and doesn’t trust either of them so he takes his drink and walks away.
They walk over to him and tell him he can trust them to support whatever is best for the company.
Chance says he can count him out when it comes to bickering.
Devon says he doesn’t think Billy belongs at the company.
That also makes it personal. He wants Billy to know.

At Society, Ashley tells Alan that he is just what the doctor ordered.
She asks him to examine her and skip to the happy ending.
He senses there is something different about her voice.
She claims it’s just her American accent.
When she notices they are running low on bubbles, she suggests they order more.
Jack wanders in and Belle assumes he’s there to wreck her date.
He gets an introduction to Alan, who asks him to join them.
“Don’t feel obligated,” says Ashley.
Jack sits and asks how they met.
Alan urges Ashley to tell the story.
Belle curses that she didn’t know there would be a quiz.
She tries to tell the story but every detail is wrong.
Alan corrects them all and Jack furrows his brow.
Ashley goes on about how blessed she is to have him as a friend.
Once Jack takes off, Ashley says her brother is dying for an update on her mental capacity and asks how she’s doing.
He tells her they are just friends.
Her family is concerned and he thinks talking could help.
She suggests they go drinking at the jazz club.
The jet lag is kicking in so he needs to call it a night.
Jack watches them leave and worries.
Ashley and Alan walk down the hall of the GCAC as she tells him the history of the hotel.
He tells her she’s more entraining than ever.
Stroking his lapels, she says she was going for “irresistible” and suggests he must have some corks that need popping in his room.
He claims he would be terrible company and agrees to see her for breakfast.
She walks off smiling to herself.
Jack stops by to see the doctor.
Alan says that he will have to spend more time with her but Ashley is certainly acting out of character.
That could just be a way of dealing with stress.
Jack says they have no idea which version of his sister they will get from day to day.
When she leaves the house, he worries.
He admits he’s considered committing her.
Alan is sure he’s just trying to help.
He promises he will do his best to help.
They all want her healthy.
Drunk Nikki is in her suite at the GCAC scrolling through all the messages that have been left for her and wishing they would leave her in peace.
Now that Jordan is dead, she deserves this.
Victor sends another message and she reads it in his voice before tossing the phone on the bed and taking a swig.
She stumbles around the room complaining about the condescending ways people look at her.
She finishes the bottle and tosses it before crawling over to the bottle in bed.
After twisting the cap, she tells herself she needs help.
Picking up her phone for a moment, she thinks of calling Jack and then takes a drink instead.
When she passes out, she dreams of stumbling around the ranch and finding Victor, who orders her off the ranch.
He threatens to call security and taunts her to go and see her savior Jack.
Lecturing her for bringing Jordan into their lives, he says she’s traumatized the grandchildren.
Victoria and Nick storm in and yell at their mom that sorry isn’t enough.
She accuses her of never accepting Claire and blaming everyone else for her being a drunk.
Nick says she’s made his daughter’s life hell. Nikki offers to talk to Summer.
Her son never wants to see her again.
Victoria tells her to stop embarrassing herself.
Nikki wants to get sober but needs help.
Nick declares they have already given her every chance.
Victor accuses her of only wanting help from Jack, that guy he can’t stand.
She disgusts him and he can’t stand looking at her.
Nikki wakes up.
She stumbles as she tries to pick up her shoes.
As she crawls down the corridor, Jack spots her.
She runs back to her room and he wedges himself in the doorway.
Belle returns to the Abbott estate and starts drinking.
She’s startled when Mrs Abbott shows up and lectures her for botching the story to Alan.
They bicker and Mrs Abbott tells her it was not a date.
He was evaluating her so he can take them all down.
Belle has half a mind to jet off with the doctor.
Mrs Chancellor tells her they are building a case against them.
Dating the doctor is not a plan to deal with this.
She tells Belle the party is over.
“I got news for you. I’m a lover, not a fighter,” says Belle.
Mrs Abbott takes control, removes her ribbon and Mrs Abbott says she’s the one who gets things done.
