At Jack’s, Phyllis reveals that she spoke with Summer and she’s staying in Milan for good. Jack knows Phyllis is proud of Summer. She is. It’s enough that Daniel’s in Savannah. “I see him never,” she says, and she was hoping that Summer would return home if she fixed the mess with Tara and Sally. Summer’s on another continent. She can’t just call her up anymore to do something with her. Phyllis is let down that she’s still not coming home. Jack can see that he can’t make her feel better. He asks about how Nick feels. She doesn’t react and Jack can tell that they’re not seeing eye to eye. She won’t tell him what Nick says because she knows Jack will side with him. She says Nick’s rational and terrific about this entire thing. “He thinks it’s wonderful.” Jack’s sarcastic and she starts to cry. “I miss my daughter.” He apologizes for teasing her. He knows how she feels. He’s happy the two people he loves so much are together but it’s hard being apart from them. Jack may not be able to watch his son become a father or his grandson grow up but they didn’t have clones to grow up at their side. It’s the price they have to pay. “They’re not out of our lives, they’re out of the country.” She cries a little and she knows he wants her to perk up but she’s not sure she can. They smile and she cries some more. She’s grateful for his support and invites him out for a drink.
On a video call, Chelsea hopes Adam doesn’t think she put up too much of a fight when he took Connor home. Adam denies that she did. She wants to visit him at camp. Adam thinks it’s a good idea. She suggests that he come with her and then starts talking about going somewhere overnight as a family and then on a weekend getaway. Adam asks where she thinks this will go. She’s sorry. She got carried away. “It’s okay,” he says. Adam thinks they should take it a step at a time. She’s excited about her progress. He admits too much has changed. They’ll co-parent but they need to make their own paths separately. She nods, not altogether happily.
At Crimson Lights, Sally and Chloe talk about the fashion coming out of Paris. Chloe likes that she’s fun but serious…she thinks they should have a partnership. Maybe a byline — Sally Spectra, an expert. They could make her the face of the side hustle. They just need Lauren to sign off on it. Chloe gets out her phone and Sally realizes she’s about to contact Lauren. “Put away your phone, Chloe. This will never work.” She’ll learn the truth eventually about why Lauren fired her. Chloe’s surprised. It can’t be that bad. “Were you trying to bring back the poodle skirt or something?” She urges Sally to unleash the truth. Sally admits the truth about what she did to Summer with Tara. Chloe asks how she got her to take the job. Sally admits Tara blackmailed her and used Kyle. Chloe grimaces. Sally offers to let her part ways and she can pretend they never met. Chloe can see she’s no saint. “I used to be you. Things change. People change,” she says. She touts how her life has changed for the better. She still wants Sally’s byline on her site. Sally grins. Rey arrives and tells Sharon he’s using more sophisticated software to track Mariah’s phone but he can’t find it. He has another idea he’s looking into. She asks what his gut tells him. He admits sometimes people don’t want to be found. She looks downcast.
At Society, Abby texts Mariah, asking her to please come home. She’s worried about her and their baby. Devon approaches and Abby bitches to him. She wants her to know how grateful she is. She’ll even move out of the mansion until the baby is born. Devon is sure that it won’t come to that. Abby finds this hard. She receives a text. “Please stop. I need more time. You’re not making this any more easier.” Abby gripes to Devon some more and says, “Isolation is not the answer.” Devon asks her to try not to worry so much she forgets to care for herself. Hire staff to take care of the paperwork, go hang with Nina. She says Nina is in L.A. working on a script. She didn’t want this to interfere with her career. Devon sits. He’s not going anywhere. He suggests another video for Chance. She balks. She stopped making them. She’s afraid of what he’ll see. She walks away. She returns and says Devon is the only one she can talk to this about. She doesn’t want Chance to return and feel like she wasn’t being supportive. She gets a text from Sharon. They want to meet so they both take off together.

Mariah hears a knock on her door. “Mariah, are you in there? It’s me.” Tessa’s at the door. Mariah tells her she’s trapped. Tessa’s there to take her home where she belongs. “Stand back,” Tessa yells. Mariah walks away and Tessa bursts in. She rushes to Mariah and kisses her passionately. Mariah asks where she found her. “I didn’t,” Tessa says. She admits they don’t know where she is or how to find her and they’re all worried about her. Mariah wakes up with a start. She’s alone. She searches the room for something, anything as to why they’re there and where they are. She sees the camera above the door and says, “That’s it. That’s a camera.” She yells, “Have you been watching us? How twisted are you?” She drags a chair over and covers the camera and invites them inside to face her.
Chloe brings Sally to Adam’s office to meet. Adam has heard her name. She says she’s slightly famous because of her aunt with the same name. He says that’s not it. She was dating Jack Abbott. She tells him that’s in the past. “He’s a friend of mine,” Adam admits. Chloe says he can call Jack and get the dirt on her and it won’t be pretty, but she’s standing by hiring Sally. Adam wasn’t thinking of calling him but he is now. Chloe reminds him of their past. He laughs. “Fair enough. Sally, welcome aboard,” he says.
At Society, Chloe and Sally celebrate. They’ll start a clean slate. Sally asks why she’s willing to take a chance on her. Chloe has a good feeling about her. Sally says this feels good to have someone believe in her. Chloe knows she can’t change overnight but she asks not to bring any of that into work. She’s serious about this adventure. She knows Adam. If Sally crosses the line, “I’ll be the one to pay the price.” She talks about having her interview designers when Jack and Phyllis arrive. Sally has a hard time not watching. Later, Phyllis sees Sally and says she warned Chloe about Sally. Jack considers that she may be working with Chloe. She rants about this for a bit and then says, “You know what I always say. Don’t get mad, get even.” Nearby, Chloe and Sally continue to talk business. Sally tells Chloe that Phyllis is out to get her. Nearby, Adam arrives and asks Jack if he’s making a mistake by letting Chloe hire Sally. Phyllis says she’ll answer that. She shares that Sally and Tara were partners in crime. She calls Sally “selfish, self-centered and devious.” Adam shrugs. She is a lot like Phyllis then? Phyllis glares.
At Crimson Lights, Rey tells everyone he’s checked into Mariah’s disappearance and can’t find anything. Tessa says this isn’t Mariah. Everyone needs to acknowledge that. Sharon isn’t saying she’s wrong that there’s something more happening, but there’s no proof. Rey asks if there’s something he’s missing. Abby thinks if Mariah knew how upset they were, she’d be home. Sharon agrees. They discuss doing a virtual intervention or turn the heat up on their search. They haven’t looked at her credit card usage or bank activity. Abby and Tessa agree. It’s time to bring Mariah home.
