In the Thursday, May 20, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon learns the truth about Sheila, Brooke visits Sheila in jail, and Taylor and Ridge confront Thomas.

At Forrester, Eric and Ridge talk about how hard it was to leave Steffy’s. He knows it was the right thing to do. He thanks him for letting him stay at his house. Eric comments that he’s brought a lot of bags for two days.
Ridge laughs and Eric says that he’s always welcome.
They talk about how Sheila was responsible for Brooke falling off the wagon. Eric asks his son not to blame himself. Once Eric’s gone, Taylor turns up to see if he’s settled in at his dad’s.
They talk about Thomas keeping secrets. Before they get anywhere, Thomas walks in. “You wanted to see me? What’s going on?” Taylor cringes. They sit and Ridge says there’s been a break in the case.
Steffy remembers Sheila is the shooter. “That’s insane!” Thomas blurts.
He doesn’t get it. Ridge thinks he knows why. Thomas yells that if he did, he’d have gone to the police. Taylor says Steffy overheard him talking on the phone to Sheila and went to Il Giardino to confront her. Ridge tells him that they argued and Sheila pulled a gun…
Thomas realizes his sister heard about what Sheila did to Brooke. He shouldn’t have kept it to himself. He saw how happy his parents were and wanted to give them time. He knew that if his dad found out, he would have gone back to Brooke.
Ridge starts yelling that it wasn’t his son’s call to make. Brooke is his wife! Taylor shakes her head, sadly. Thomas can’t believe that secret is why Steffy and Finn got shot. Taylor reminds him Sheila’s to blame. Ridge blames Sheila but says Thomas should have talked to them. Instead of watching Brooke’s suffering, he could have helped her. “But you didn’t give me that chance. It didn’t have to end like this.”

At Brooke’s house, Hope and Brooke can’t believe that a good man like Finn could have such an evil mother. Brooke relays to her daughter that she plans on visiting Sheila in jail and confronting her for all her crimes.
Hope worries but Brooke needs to do this. “She tried to ruin my life.”
She says Chief Baker is meeting her there. She takes off as Deacon strolls in. Hope lets him know that they found out who shot Finn. “It was Sheila,” she reveals, to a stunned Deacon.
He tries in vain to understand and then wonders what they were doing in the alley.
Hope says she went after Brooke, too. Hope fills her in on how Sheila switched the champagne so Brooke fell off the wagon. Deacon is horrified and feels like an idiot. He apologizes. It changes everything for Brooke and Ridge.
Hope denies it since Ridge isn’t ready to come home. Deacon gets up and paces. He’s angry that Ridge doesn’t get what he has in Brooke.
In jail, Sheila’s brought into a holding room and Chief Baker shows up. Sheila’s in a mood and pulls at her cuffs. “Why am I here?” Baker says he’s allowing her a visitor.
One who wants to see justice served. Sheila just wants to see her lawyer.
She never wanted to hurt anyone. Baker asks why she brought a gun. She didn’t want to shoot anyone, she claims. Brooke arrives and Baker tells her to keep her distance from the prisoner.
He leaves them alone. Brooke says what she did to her wasn’t nearly as horrifying as what she did to her own son. “You’re not going to get away with this,” she warns. Brooke tears into her about ruining everyone’s lives, including Hayes’. Sheila didn’t want that. She wanted to help them. Brooke knows. By interfering in hers. Sheila thinks Brooke wants her to feel sorry for what she did to her.
She calls Brooke pathetic. Brooke doesn’t want her pity. She just wants her to pay! Sheila claims she’s haunted by that night and wishes she could change it.
Brooke shakes her head and smirks. Sheila refuses to ever apologize for what she did to her. Sheila asks the guard to let her go back to her cell but Brooke isn’t finished with her. She berates her for ruining Steffy’s life. She thinks that she’ll regret it. She came to tell her that she will no longer terrorize the Forresters or her again.
She doesn’t belong out there in society. The guard comes to take Sheila away and she laughs and lets Brooke know that she hasn’t seen the last of her.
