Wed Oct 18 GH recap: Curtis tells Portia he’s not ready for intimacy, Lois lectures Tracy about BLQ, and Blaze tells Kristina what she wants.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Mason went rogue and was shot during Ava’s rescue while Carly and Drew got a shock when Cyrus visited GH.
At home, Curtis lifts himself into bed and tries to get comfortable when Portia arrives.
She awkwardly sits in the bed with him and they talk about how nice it was for Stella to take them out.
She looks forward to the party to celebrate Trina’s graduation in two years.
He points out he’ll be stuck watching from the sidelines.
Portia misses being close to him.
That makes him uncomfortable.
He can’t show love the way he used to.
She thinks they can still connect physically.
Shaking his head, he says that even if he could, he’s not ready.
Curtis doesn’t want to lash out and push her away.
She’s trying to understand and knows this is new.
Psychologically, he’s not sure he’ll ever be able to “love her” and “let her in.”
His wife says they just need to take things slowly.
This is just making him feel like less of a man.
She says a doctor claimed he could still have sex eventually.
He insists his mind isn’t ready and he’s not sure it ever will be.
Portia refuses to give up.
Curtis doesn’t think she can help him get past this.
His identity is tied to his athletic ability.
All of this is humiliating and it’s tearing him up inside.
She loves him and even if they can’t share a bed like they used to, she won’t go anywhere.
She says she’s patient and knows how hard it is for him to be open about his feelings.
They just shared something as deep as physical loving.
They kiss and he tells her he loves her.
At the Quartermaine estate, Lois accuses Tracy of blackmailing BLQ and lectures her for how she took advantage of her.
Now she has to answer to her.
Tracy makes tea and Lois keeps lecturing.
Tracy dismisses all of this.
She explains that BLQ kept putting off her testimonial to save Chase’s career.
She acted out of selfishness.
Lois says she got that from her grandma and lays into her for going after Deception to satisfy her greed.
“I got that company for Brook Lynn,” Tracy insists.
She tried to buy it but Lucy wouldn’t budge so she had to take drastic measures.
She is giving it to BLQ lock, stock and barrel.
Lois refuses to buy into this altruism.
Tracy doesn’t want her granddaughter to waste her life on music and have nothing to show for it like Lois.
This outrages Lois.
Tracy admits she also did this to get back her share of ELQ from Lucy. Lois refuses to believe her daughter will want any part of this.
Tracy says she’s going to have to live with the fact that BLQ is a lot more like her grandma than she wants to admit.
Ava shows up at Carly’s, desperate to see her daughter.
Avery is fine and Ava runs off to see her.
Dante and Dex step in and the cop explains that Ava was abducted a few weeks ago and rescued tonight.
They recap everything that happened with Mason for Carly and Joss.
Dex says he would have gone over the cliff when fighting with Mason if Dante didn’t show up.
Joss hugs him.
The cop takes off and Ava returns.
She sat by her daughter as she slept. Her biggest fear was that they would come after her.
Carly assures her it is secure there.
She tells her that she’s welcome to stay the night and leaves.
Joss hands her her phone and Ava thanks Dex for saving her.
They talk about her abduction and how angry Mason seemed to be with his boss.
Joss hands her a drink.
She and Dex step outside and tell hims what a hero he is.
He admits that Mason was tough to take down and if Dante hadn’t arrived, he would have died.
He thanks Joss for calling her brother.
That’s why he’s alive.

At General Hospital, Austin is brought in to treat Mason, who has been shot.
He tells Deanna another doctor will have to take the lead on this.
Once they are alone, Austin asks his cousin where Ava is. He gets no answer.
A surgeon comes and checks Mason over, making sure he’s ready for surgery.
Once Austin is alone with him again, he asks where Ava is.
Mason has no idea.
The surgeon and nurse return to take him off.
In the hallway, Jordan stops Dante from going in to see Mason.
He reminds her she’s not the commissioner anymore.
She tells him Mac called her.
The Pautauk cops aren’t happy about him shooting someone in their district.
He shot a civilian and this will have to be investigated.
She orders him to go home.
Once the cop is done, Austin approaches and asks if she can give him any information.
She tells him Mason has been charged and was shot.
He’s relieved to hear Ava was unharmed and tries calling her. She doesn’t answer.
Jordan asks if he knows why his cousin would abduct Ava.
Austin says he’s a loose canon and rushes off.
Sam stops by Drew’s room and they chat about their daughter’s love of dogs.
Scout sent her with a gift for him. It’s her swimming trophy.
He misses being at her swim meets.
Sam has been there in his place.
Scout won this in his name.
When he gets out, Drew will hang it up in his office.
Sonny and Nina relax in bed on the island.
They talk about their wedding bands and she thanks him for everything.
He laughs and she smiles about how relaxed he is.
The mobster explains there was a situation he let go on too long but when he gets home, he will end it.
Nina asks him to forget about all his problems and leave them in Port Charles so they can be in the moment during their honeymoon.
He can keep that promise.
Carly calls and tells him that Mason kidnapped Ava.
She and Avery are fine but Cyrus is out of prison. He fumes.
He says he will be flying back in the morning.
“Of course, it was him all along,” he mumbles.
Nina is confused.
Blaze tells Kristina all about her abuela and then they have frozen margaritas.
After she makes them drinks, Blaze suggests that they toast to her becoming the new face of Deception.
Blaze explains she hasn’t accepted the offer and isn’t sure she will.
She talks about how she has always wanted to be a star, but she wants a private life too so she can date who she wants and not be in the tabloids.
She realizes she’s whining about getting all she wanted.
Kristina doesn’t think she’s whining at all and thinks she should get all she wants.
Blaze says they never would have met if she hadn’t recognized her so fame isn’t all bad.
Sonny comes out and chats with them before announcing he has to fly home in the morning to take care of business.
Carly goes to Drew’s room and cuddles up with him.
When Dante gets home, he finds Sam sleeping in bed.
She wakes up and he tells her he just wants to put the day behind him.
He’s been placed on leave because he shot someone. They cuddle.
