General Hospital recap for Tuesday, March 1, 2022. In today’s GH episode, Drew tries to get information from Marshall, Michael apologizes to Chase, and Liz calls the cops.
We also have Monday’s GH recap where Scott suggested Betsy was harassing Liz and Sonny and Carly signed their divorce papers.
When Liz walks through her front door, she is shocked to see the painting Franco made of her sitting on the mantle. She squeals when someone taps her on the shoulder. It’s just Cam. He notices the portrait, confused since it was supposedly destroyed in the fire. It was there when he got home.
She notes that no one has been home in the past 24 hours so whoever put it there was in the house. Liz tells him to call the police.
Curtis and Stella enter Charlie’s. They notice Nina sitting at the bar, where she is thinking about her argument with Drew over Sonny. When they come over, she tells them she was about to leave. She just came in to talk to Phyllis but she’s not there. Phyllis is a good listener. Curtis offers to listen in her place.
They get a table. As Stella walks off to order food, Curtis prompts Nina to fill him in about Sonny. She deflects by asking about Marshall. He admits things eased but then they changed again.
Stella returns and prompts Curtis to explain what’s happening with his father. He says that he needs to know more about Marshall’s past now that he will be living with Portia. Drew is helping him find out what his father has been hiding. Nina gets a notification and takes off.
Stella asks her nephew if he’s out of his mind. He just wants to protect the people he loves. His aunt tells him no good comes from sneaking around. Curtis reminds her he used to be a PI. She tells him to give Portia credit for making her own choices and getting involved with him.
His aunt tells him to just speak to his father straight. He’s tried repeatedly but it’s a dead end. Curtis wishes she would trust his judgement. She warns that someone could get hurt and it could be him.
Stella reminds him trust is a two-way street and suggests that he give it time. If he sneaks around, there is no way that will happen. He admits she may be right.
Drew meets with Sam at the Metro Court. He’s relieved that Maxie is safe and back home. He’s also glad Peter is dead. It makes him feel free. “I’m thinking about my future,” he says.
He wants to return to Aurora and has ideas for where it should go. Reminding him that Jax is no longer involved with the company, Sam says he has her full support and walks off.
Drew meets with Marshall, who admits he has dug into who he is before their meeting. He always likes to know something about anyone who he does business with. Drew feels the same.
Drew gives him a job pitch and asks about his work experience. Marshall admits he’s had to take a variety of jobs to pay the bills. He guesses that Curtis put him up to this. “I’m nobody’s charity case, my man,” he says, getting up.
After Drew makes an excuse, he tells him he will look elsewhere if his friendship with Curtis complicates things. Marshall sits back down. Drew explains that the company’s HR requires some in-depth checking. Marshall declines the offer, claiming it would take too much time away from his performing.
Drew calls Curtis and tells him Marshall wouldn’t agree to a background check.
Carly meets Olivia at the bar and tells her she feels like a failure. She just filed her divorce papers. Olivia serves her a drink and gets her to open up. Carly is disappointed and wishes she didn’t care so much. Whatever Sonny feels isn’t her problem anymore.
Sam joins them and Olivia announces they have planned something to help Carly process her emotions. Carly downs a drink.
Sam, Carly, and Olivia go to the axe throwing club. Carly thinks this is ridiculous but Olivia says it’s therapeutic. She even brought a photo of Nina she can use as inspiration. They throw axes and laugh.
As they drink, they wish they could throw axes at all their problems. Carly announces she signed away all her claims to community property. She just wants to move forward and won’t be able to until Nina pays. Olivia says karma will take care of. “Karma takes too long,” Carly says.
Declaring that with the next throw she will be released from Sonny and Nina, Carly hurls an axe and gets a bullseye.

Michael meets Willow at General Hospital with the notes she needs to study for a test. He tells her his mother filed for divorce today and he has to help the kids adjust. She says it’s time they talk about Nina.
Sitting down, she tells him that Nina has been manipulating her for access to Wiley. She has a pattern of lying and is not the type of person she wants in their son’s life. He’s all for keeping Nina away but doesn’t want this determined by emotions.
Willow knows things could change. She points out that they owe Chase and Brook Lynn an apology. After Michael leaves her alone to study, Nina wanders in. She’s there to visit her photo editor but hopes she can have a word with Willow. She’s desperate to see her grandson.
Willow is astounded she would ask about Wiley given the Carly and Sonny situation. Nina insists she never intended for any of that to happen. “How the hell can you ask me to advocate for you when I can’t believe a word you say?” Willow asks.
Nina thought they had a cordial relationship but Willow accuses her of throwing her under the bus. She feels used and resents it. Nina insists that she appreciates her. Wiley is the only thing that she has left of her daughter. That’s not enough for Willow, who says that blood doesn’t entitle her to bring bad into the little boy’s life.
Nina insists she would never hurt Wiley and thinks about him all the time. She is learning from her mistakes and will be more forthcoming in the future. “Do not keep me from my grandchild,” she begs. Nina warns that she will fight for her legal rights to access if she pushes her.
At the beach house, Finn tells Chase about all the suspicious things that have been happening to Liz. The pranks seem pretty sophisticated for kids. Chase’s cop brain kicks in and he lists things they can do. His brother tells him they need to wait to see what Liz wants to do.
The doctor tells his brother he wants him to be happy. Liz calls and announces that someone broke into the house and left a painting. “I’m on my way,” Finn says.
Michael shows up and Chase tells him that Brook Lynn is in Bensonhurst. Chase reminds him they are far from friends and tries to usher him out. After Michael apologizes, Chase accepts it to get rid of him but Michael keeps apologizing and reminds him of all he lost because of him.
“Michael, you slept with my wife and then you had the nerve to lay into me because I hurt her feelings!” Chase yells, calling him selfish and self-righteous. That makes him feel better.
Michael admits that he and Willow still feel guilty about being dishonest. Chase understands why they lied to him but wishes they didn’t. To make Michael pay, Chase gets him to load his moving boxes into the car.
Finn jogs into Liz’s. Dante and the cops are looking the place over. There is no evidence of forced entry. Liz admits there is a hidden key but only Franco and the boys knew about it. Dante guesses that whoever broke into the house must have been the same person who burned Franco’s studio.
Liz guesses that Betsy must have been behind this. She has been around and seems to enjoy pretending Franco is alive. She’s not all there on a good day and is grieving. It’s unlikely she knew about the key and hasn’t contacted the boys. After the cop leaves, Liz wonders if Betsy has been coming and going for months.
Finn offers to stay with her for a few days. He’d feel better and Chase can look after Violet. The doctor holds Liz and assures her she’s not overreacting. He’ll stay until she feels safe again.
