Tues May 21, 2024: Sonny asks Dante to deliver a message, Diane reassures Alexis about her case, and Kristina tells Michael that their father attacked Dex.
Monday’s GH recap: Finn told Alexis about his alcohol slip, Carly tried to keep Sonny together, and Gregory recalled his life.
At Finn’s, Violet asks if she can have wedding cake for lunch and wants to bring her bouquet to school. She decides to leave it there so it will be safe and they leave.
When Finn returns with bagels, he calls for his dad. There’s no answer.
He goes to his door and calls in but it’s silent.
Opening the door, Finn finds that Gregory (played by Gregory Harrison) has passed away and begins weeping, telling him how much he loves him.
He walks out of the room and calls to report the death. After staring at the bourbon on the sidebar, he walks over and uncorks it.
After smelling the cork, he pours himself a glass and stares at it before drinking it down.
The paramedics arrive and remove the body while he watches. The coroner tells Finn he likely died after midnight and it was quick and painless.
He has to fill out some paperwork. As they wheel Gregory out, Finn touches his hair until they cover him up.
He goes into his father’s room and touches his pillow before taking another drink.
Finn thinks about calling Chase.
At the airport, Chase and BLQ are waiting for their flight. She insists that he stay awake for the whole trip so they can adjust to Italian time.
He promises she won’t get much sleep at the hotel and they kiss.
She reads him trivia off her phone as he searches for his passport. She worries until he finds it.
He also finds a note from his dad thanking them for including him in their wedding and a gift. It’s an engraved compass.
As they are called to board, Finn calls.
He doesn’t know how to say it so he just says their dad is gone. He found him this morning.
The coroner said he died peacefully.
Chase gets him to repeat that before hanging up.
The detective weeps on BLQ’s shoulder.
Back at his apartment, Finn holds his father’s cane and recalls his fight with Gregory.
Violet walks in.
Diane arrives at Alexis’ hotel room and tries to stop her panic. She assures her they will win her case and she’ll be reinstated.
Once Alexis is dressed, Diane asks if pre-trial jitters are normal for her. She admits she screams into a pillow every morning to get rid of her anxiety.
Alexis thinks if she started to scream she would never stop and won’t forgive her for bullying her into doing this.
Diane refuses to let her quit and reminds her of how much her future clients will need her.
Does she want to crawl back to the paper, or do this for her bestie? Doesn’t she want to show everyone how brilliant she is?

She doesn’t know who to talk to. She can’t talk to Molly or Dante for legal reasons. Normally, it would be her dad she would turn to.
She’s been ignoring his texts and doesn’t know how to respond. Blaze tells her it’s entirely up to her.
Kristina worries that no one will step in and stop her father from imploding.
She calls Michael over and fills him in about witnessing their father attacking Dex until Jason pulled him away.
He’s sorry she had to see that. His sister believed it when Sonny threatened to kill Jason and Dex.

Michael tells her it’s not on them to clean up after their father.
She reminds him that he has cleaned up for all of them many times. She knows he deserves to be punished, but she doesn’t want it.
He agrees to try to fix this and gives her a hug before leaving.
After Kristina ahs a hot shower, she explains to Blaze that she pulled away from her brother because of how he treated their dad.

He claims he was just defending himself and asks his son to deliver a message to Kristina since she saw the whole thing.
Sonny doesn’t know how much she saw of him attacking Dex and then threatening him and Jason. He tried to talk to her but she just cried and pushed him away.
She’s not responding to his calls and texts and asks Dante to “make her see the truth of what she saw.”
Dante can’t do that. Even if he wasn’t a cop, he wouldn’t.
He tells his father that he loves him but he’s also a cop. Whether Dex provoked him or not, doesn’t matter.
He’ll have to offer this whole conversation as corroboration if he reports the attack. Does he expect Kristina to lie to the police for him?
Sonny is sure Diane can handle any legal issues. He just wants him to be there for Kristina and make her see his side of this.
He needs her to know he loves her and he was just defending himself.
Dante will check on her and make sure she’s okay. But that’s all he can do.
“I’m done carrying water for you,” the cop says. He won’t defend him.
In the park, Dex jokes about Joss and his injuries.
She gets them some coffee and he tells her she doesn’t need to do all this. She thinks he could use some spoiling.
Dex says that’s only okay if she plans to make that a thing.

When Michael arrives, he asks Dex to confirm what Kristina told him.
They do.
He asks if Dex intends to press charges.
