Monday, August 14 GH recap: Neddie checks on Olivia, Betty tells Mason and Austin her news, and Carly reminds Joss of why Sonny is in their lives.
Friday’s GH recap: Anna’s house was set on fire, Carly refused to let Sonny take her home, and Dante agreed to rent his house to Maxie.
At the penthouse, Sonny is arguing with Selina on the phone when Neddie tells him he needs some space and takes off.
Sonny sends Dex to hide and eavesdrop as Betty arrives. They chat about Avery and he tells her there has been a change of plans.
He won’t be back until after 5 so he asks her to stay and look after Avery after she brings her back from camp.
He admits he was worried about the change of nanny’s but Avery really seems taken with her. She’s glad to hear that. He shows her out.
Dex comes out and Sonny orders him to keep his eyes on Betty.
Brick has sent him a flashdrive full of fabricated evidence he is going to plant for Betty to find.
It’s full of false Pikeman data and she will bring it to whoever she works for.
The boss explains what they’ve learned about Mason and his blackmailing of Ava.
Betty doesn’t know that Ava came clean to him about this.
Not only are they feeding someone false information, the flashdrive also contains tracking software which will get then access to whoever is after him.
Dante finds his mom working by the pool at the Metro Court.
he tells him how hard it was to see Neddie go home with Sonny last night.
She may have to face the fact that she’s lost her husband.
She’s not giving up on Leo’s father.
She needs to figure out who Neddie is now since he may never been Ned again.
It freaks her out but she needs to find a way to live with it.
He gets a call about the fire at Anna’s and has to take off.
He wishes her luck with Neddie.
Neddie shows up, glad that he’s managed to see her without having to go to the house and bumping into Tracy.
She notices he got a few good punches.
He’s feeling it but he’s glad to see she’s okay.
Before he can leave, she tells him she’s realized he’s not Ned anymore. He’s changed and has to be true to who he is now.
Neddie knows that hurts her and he’s sorry for that and for how it hurts Leo and Tracy.
But being Eddie is all he knows how to be.
He apologizes for sneaking out on her when she’s been so nice to him.
Tracy’s wanting to have him committed was getting him freaked out.
Olivia accepts that he’s someone else now.
Even if she thought electroshock would bring her husband back, she wouldn’t do that to him. Neddie smiles.
At Carly’s, Joss asks her mom why she got in a bar fight last night.
Pouring them coffee, she tells her about going to see Olivia last night.
She really misses working there. It’s made her more determined to get her hotel back.
They need a distraction so they went to the Highsider and things got crazy.
She tells her all about the fight and how the guy who went after Olivia got away.
Joss is sorry for leaving her at the PCPD all night.
Her mom admits she could have gone home earlier but wouldn’t let Sonny help her.
Accepting his help is not the same thing as making sure that he’s stable to keep the family protected.
Her daughter asks if she is only supporting Michael and Dex’s spying on him for that reason.
Carly gets upset as she talks about how they are bound to each other.
She has no choice and being in a war with Sonny would be unhealthy.
Joss says that this isn’t healthy either.
Her mom says Sonny is still family and they can’t forget that.
Sonny stops by and asks his ex why she wouldn’t let him sign her out last night.
Was it her pride?
She insists that’s not what it was.
They will always be in each other’s lives but she can’t let him bail her out anymore.
He gets it. Besides, he has a lot of other things going on.

General Hospital’s comings and goings
Austin rushes into his office, unhappy that Mason is back and wants something for his headache.
Betty barges in next and he tells them this is not a clubhouse.
Mason reminds him they are all just employees.
Betty tells them that she should have the chance to search Sonny’s this afternoon.
The doctor hopes that will be the end of this and they will get out of his life.
Mason makes it clear he will never let him go.
Austin doesn’t want any of this. Mason says he can play the hero all he wants, but in the end, he’s all about himself.
Betty takes off, promising not to leave Sonny’s empty-handed.
Austin asks why the boss wants information on Sonny and Pikeman anyway. Mason has no idea, but if their boss wants it, he will get it.
As Betty leaves the building, Dex follows her.
The fire department are finishing off at Anna’s house.
Valentin tells her they should go. “There’s nothing left here…nothing left of my life,” she sobs.
He wishes he’d been there with her instead of at work.
This could have ended so badly.
They’re just lucky she wasn’t in the house when teh fire was set.
Anna wonders if the arsonist waited for her to leave.
She’s sure Victor is smiling up at this from Hell. She has hurt a lot of people.
People died and left families behind. Someone wants her to pay and she doesn’t blame them.
He tells her she doesn’t deserve any of this. Nothing she did calls for revenge. “Since when?” she asks.
She’s sure that revenge can feel like the answer even when it’s not.
He knows what that’s like.
Dante joins them and asks if she’s up to making a statement.
Valentin offers to go to the station with her but she insists on going alone.
At the PCPD, Dante and Anna go over the details of the fire.
She tells him that Valentin went to ELQ last night to deal with a broken watermain and didn’t come back.
The cop walks out to make a call. He asks someone to pull the security footage from ELQ last night to check when Valentin was there.
Returning to Anna, he suggests they talk about who had the motive to start the fire.
They mull it over. She admits something about this fire feels different. A trained agent would have taken her out, not started a sloppy fire.
If the WSB wanted her dead, she would be.
“This just feels like revenge, plain and simple,” she suggests. He suggests the guilt she has could be clouding her thoughts.
The fire could have been deliberately sloppy to throw her off. They both did things like that in the WSB.
She mutters something about “logistics” and then says she needs to find a room. He tells her he’s sorry for what’s happened.
After she leaves, he gets a call confirming Valentin’s car was never in the ELQ parking lot.
