Wednesday, August 2 GH recap: Laura asks Valentin to go home, Chase interviews people about the body found at GH, and Neddie blows up at Olivia.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Drew revived Cyrus after he met Laura in Hell, and Molly and TJ agreed to get a surrogate who isn’t Kristina.
Valentin stop by Laura’s hotel room and asks when they are leaving for the airport.
She says she and Kevin are leaving in an hour but he’s not coming.
Kevin joins them and explains Valentin isn’t needed anymore.
The Cassadine asks if his wife’s safety is more important than his hatred of him.
Kevin claims he’s gotten past his shooting him years ago and he would not put his wife’s life in jeopardy. He does appreciate his help and exits to check out.
Laura explains her husband has come around to recognizing that she cares about him.
That’s why she’s asking him to go home.
He admits he cares about her too and wants to help protect her.
She thinks there are other people who need him now, like Anna. He nods.
Chase drops by the hospital. BLQ calls to ask him to lunch.
He’s busy and gets off the line. The cop tracks down Austin and shows him a picture of the body from the alley.
The doctor explains that he saw him at The Grill and he was angry about a bill.
The detective shows him a picture of Dex and asks if he recognizes him. Austin claims not to know him.
He offers to call if he recalls anything.
Martin visits Cyrus at General Hospital.
Cyrus announces he’s faced death and is now ready to embrace the glory in life.
His brother finds him comparing himself to God a little much.
Cyrus explains that Laura’s aura guided him back and God gave him an important mission.
The lawyer urges him to get to the point.
Renault announces he needs to give all his money away. Explaining that Drew saved his life, he says he can now do God’s work.
He’s given Martin authority to access his trust and wants the money used to help the convicts in Pentonville.
Martin wonders if he’s hit his head. Laughing, Cyrus claims God let him survive to do this.
Austin arrives to check on him after Martin leaves. He’s surprised by how healthy Cyrus is looking given he just had a heart attack.
After he tells him how well he’s doing, Cyrus grabs his hand and tells him about being given a second chance after turning his back on God.
As the doctor exits, Cyrus wishes the lord’s protection on him and his family.
Martin calls Laura and fills her in on their brother and his choice to give away all his money. He’ll keep her posted.
In their hotel room, Laura admits to Kevin that she’s relieved her convict brother will survive. Kevin tells her he’s glad Valentin is gone.
They sit and he suggests that he go to Cassadine Island alone.
What they did to her there has had long-term traumatic effects. She insists on going and he makes her promise to tell him if anything comes up.
At the Quartermaine estate, Olivia tells Tracy how hard it is with Neddie.
Tracy declares she has to deal with reality today and leaves the fantasy to her.
Leo wanders in to say that Neddie snores and asks when his dad is coming back.
Neddie walks in and wonders how he got there. She explains he was fund staggering out of a bar. He says he’s woken up in worse places.
When she offers to make him eggs, he says that will make him hurl.
Leo starts asking about what “hungover” means so his mom chases him out.
Olivia asks Neddie if he’s a little old for this.
This offends him. He goes on about how much he loves dive bars and she asks him how many grandpas were there.
Neddie doesn’t like that. He insists he’s an artist. He’s free and wild.
She thinks staying out and partying will give him a stroke. Neddie says her nagging will give him a stroke and refuses to accept that he would marry such an “uptight shrew.” Her jaw drops.
Neddie takes off and Leo returns, wondering why his mom is sad.
He likes Neddie. He’s funny and thinks he’s smart. Olivia thinks he can’t be all bad then.
When she walks off, Neddie returns and Leo asks him why he made his mom sad when she was trying to help him.
As Neddie drinks water, Olivia returns and he asks if her offer for breakfast stands. Leo says she makes amazing frittatas.

General Hospital’s comings and goings
At Deception, Maxie catches BLQ worrying as she reads about the killing at teh hospital. She tells her that it never gets any easier being married to a cop. It doesn’t get easier.
They talk about her losing Nathan. She knows he died doing what he loved. BLQ knows it’s the same for Chase and she has to accept it’s his calling.
Getting back to business, Maxie explains that she’s had a hard time dealing with their distributers since Sasha went psychotic in public again.
Sasha may not have known what she was doing but the optics stink.
Their products have been moved to the bottom of the shelves, aside from The Deceptor, the only thing keeping them afloat.
Tracy barges in and demands to speak to BLQ.
She vents about how Neddie is treating anyone. When she asks Maxie if she thinks he’s faking, Maxie immediately rushes out.
Tracy is relieved and demands details about The Deceptor from BLQ, who is reluctant to help.
She points out that Sasha’s scandal is killing the company and the only thing keeping it alive is The Deceptor. She won’t risk ruining it for her.
She begs her not to hurt her friends but Tracy declares there are no friends in business.
They are family and she will do this.
In his office, Sonny calls someone to say he’s sending a message in response to the body that was found.
Frank comes in and says the job is done and in the trunk.
Sam stops by Kelly’s and talks to Carly about Drew being behind bars. Carly assures him he’s okay and tells Scout not to worry.
Sam is sure this must be hard on their relationship. Carly admits it. Sonny shows up.
When Carly steps off to take call, Sonny and Sam chat about his wedding plans and he tells her how highly Rocco thinks of her, not that the kid would admit it.
She takes off as Carly returns and Sonny compliments her on how well things are going. Carly says she’s on the path to making enough to keep the house.
When he offers to help her out with that, she reminds him she can’t take money from anyone.
Sonny makes her an offer she can’t refuse. It’s coffee. He gets Frank to haul it into the kitchen.
She asks about the issues with the new nanny. He tells her Betty is an acquired taste but he’s handling it.
Chase pops in, asking to speak to Sonny. They step outside and the cop shows him a picture of Dex. The mobster asks if he has real questions.
When the cop questions, Sonny blocks and tells him to call his lawyer. “Good luck, detective,” he says.
Maxie shows up at Carly’s with a pastry order.
They chat about her taking over Kelly’s. Maxie admits that Nina told her about it.
They chat and Carly explains she’s determined to prove she’s not dependent on anyone. Kelly’s is just the first step for her.
Sonny comes back in and tells Carly that taking over Kelly’s is a good thing. He knows she’s a survivor. They chat about how Drew is doing and she thanks him for the coffee.
As soon as he leaves, Sam calls to say that Drew has been locked up in solitary.
