Monday, July 10, 2023, full episode recap of GH: Curtis is critically shot, Dante finds the smoking gun, and Sonny and Anna debate which one of them was the target
Friday’s GH recap: Shots are fired by the pool as Kristina announces she should be Molly’s surrogate and Zeke asks Jordan out
At the Metro Court pool, Portia approaches Zeke and Jordan’s table, assuming they must be on a date.
Jordan corrects her and they notice Curtis walk in from across the way.
Sonny wants to know what else Valentin said to Anna.
No other words have time to be spoken before Dante calls everyone to hit the ground because of an active shooter situation.
Bullets start hitting all around the MC pool area.
Anna and Sonny dive under a counter for protection, as Gabe enters with a gun for additional cover.
Portia, Zeke and Jordan dive under their table, while Curtis is still in transit from the entrance.
Jordan calls in the shooting.
Sonny steps out and demands the shooter show himself.
Chase steps out of the restaurant and calls in that three shots were fired at the MC pool. Elizabeth and Finn come out next, wanting to know what the gunshots were all about.
He instructs them to follow his lead, he may need their help.
Portia realizes Curtis isn’t moving and rushes to his side.
She panics when she sees he’s been shot.
Jordan runs to get Portia some towels to help stop the bleeding. Finn and Elizabeth arrive on the scene and tell Portia to trust them and allow them to take over for her.
The bullet is lodged right at Curtis’ spine and it’s not looking good.
Portia wants to know who would want to shoot Curtis. Jordan peers at Sonny and claims she doesn’t believe Curtis was the intended target.
The shooting stops and the SWAT team secures the pool area. Curtis is transported to the hospital and Zeke seeks permission from Dante for him and Jordan to be released to follow the ambulance.
Anna calls out Sonny’s careless action of stepping out in the open like that. They both agree on hearing three gunshots.
Brook Lynn arrives to tell Chase how much he means to her and she is so grateful he wasn’t hurt.
Dante releases Finn and Elizabeth after thanking them for their help and their statements to the police. The pair leave upon her suggestion to get out of there.
He approaches Anna and Sonny, declaring either one of the two of them could have been the target of the shooter.
Chase pulls Dante away and they head to the eleventh floor to inspect a room.
At first, they find nothing, but then Dante finds a sniper rifle underneath the sofa.
Dante insists they won’t find any prints or any information at all. It feels like a real pro or even an intelligence operative.
Sonny has Gabe escort BLQ home.
Anna inquires if there have been any other incidents lately and if someone is trying to kill Sonny.
Sonny admits that he could likely be the target. He reminds her, though, that it is possible they could have been aimed at her just as easily.
Molly and TJ head to the dance floor at The Savoy, leaving Sam, Kristina, and Alexis alone at the table.
Kristina wishes she could make things easier for her sister and TJ.
Molly is taken aback when she overhears Kristina proudly suggests she could be their surrogate.
Molly tells TJ they need to sit somewhere alone and private.
He wants to know why she doesn’t want to sit with her mom and sisters.
Molly insists it’s because she may have to kill Kristina for suggesting to be a surrogate for them.
At the table, Kristina continues on about how she had tests run on herself after Molly’s diagnosis.
All tests indicate that she is fine and perfectly capable of carrying a child for her sister.
She feels Kristina is doing this on purpose and it’s a personal attempt to keep the Kristina show going once again, with everything being all about her.
TJ kisses her hand and tells her that’s not how he would see it. He is aware of Kristina’s motives in her past and reassures Molly that it is their decision when and how to have a child. He promises Kristina will have nothing to do with it.
He compares Kristina to typical middle-child syndrome. TJ suggests that it is possible for a person to be both selfish and generous at the same time and he has seen that before in Kristina.
She agrees with him that it’s about the two of them, and apologizes for thinking it was only about her lately. She failed to ask what his dreams were during her grief.
Surprisingly, Molly agrees that if they did decide to go the surrogacy route, Kristina would be the ideal choice.
Alexis advises Kristina and Sam, this is a bit premature at this point. Now is not the time to do anything.
Kristina could not disagree more and wonders what if they have less time than they think. She sees this as a cautionary tale everyone should learn from. Sam suggests she never speak in those terms to Molly.
Sam suggests Kristina really considers what being a surrogate entails. Sam even says she thought she knew what it meant to be pregnant before ever being that, but in reality, she could not have been more wrong.
Kristina finally starts to see things more clearly and is glad she only blurted that out to the two of them and not to Molly and TJ.

Nicholas Chavez’s temporary GH exit
In the park, Trina and Joss have a picnic for just the two of them. They reminisce about how simple things were when they didn’t have boyfriends who hated each other.
Joss reflects that she should have handled things differently with Cameron and Dex, blaming that on Spencer probably feeling the way he does. She says his bad impression of Dex is really about her. She also believes he is intimidated by Dex in many ways.
She is not okay with how he has been acting toward Dex but informs Trina he seems to be taking a new approach with Esme. Trina is curious about the details of this new approach.
Joss explains about Spencer and Esme being signed up for a class. Trina hates him having to spend any extra time with Esme.
Dex shows up with lattes for them and kisses Joss.
Joss wants her best friend and boyfriend to get to know one another better.
Dex steps away when Gabe calls, informing him of the ambush at the MC. Dex breaks the news of Curtis’ injury to Trina.
At General Hospital, Spencer paces as Esme arrives late for their scheduled class.
She apologizes and blames work and ensuring Ace was safe and secure. She blames his family for already tormenting her and her son when he insists the Quartermaine Nanny is more than qualified.
Spencer says he would be just fine with missing this class because after all, it was her idea.
Esme tries to reassure him that taking this parenting class is about them being a team. As their volume escalates, they are guided inside for the parenting class.
In class, Spencer wants to know why they are there if this is not a “how to” class. The instructor goes on to explain the importance of the parents getting along and working together.
The class is given a test so they can compare their truthful answers with those of their co-parent.
Surprisingly, the instructor announces Esme and Spencer’s answers to be almost identical. They both agree they want the best for Ace.
In the ER at GH, Curtis is rushed in with Portia by his side. Portia shows panic as she hears all of the orders being given by the doctor.
She is escorted out of the trauma bay but not before pleading for the nurse to help her husband.
Zeke and Jordan enter and Portia updates them. She cries being a doctor doesn’t make this any easier at all.
Trina calls and wants to know how he’s doing. Portia insists he is alive and he is fighting. She tells her daughter she is still trying to process everything about the events of the night.
Joss tells Dex that Trina is going to need Spencer now. The three of them take off to GH immediately.
Joss has Dex stay with Trina while she heads upstairs to get Spencer. She walks up just in time to see Esme gently place her hand on Spencer’s shoulder and the two of them smiling together.
Jordan prepares to do a press conference and reassure the public that they are safe. Zeke walks her out of the ER.
The doctor informs Portia and Trina that Curtis is going to require complicated surgery to remove the bullet lodged against his spine.
