Friday, August 11 GH recap: Finn asks Liz to be Violet’s guardian, Neddie calls Sonny to bail him out, and Mason tells Austin to reign Ava in.
Thursday’s GH recap: Neddie was knocked out in a bar brawl with Mason over Olivia, someone stalked Anna, and Trina made up with Curtis.
Liz finds Finn on the roof of General Hospital. She says he’s in the spot she usually takes.
This is where she comes to make sense of what happens in the hospital. That’s why he’s there.
They stare at the sky and she asks what has him up there. He admits he lost a patient tonight.
There wasn’t time to treat his parasite. Plus, he had cancer and no one knew about it.
They both hate it when this happens. It hit him hard tonight like it was personal.
The man’s daughter was one of Violet’s classmates. This has him contemplating his mortality and what would happen to his daughter if he died.
The nurse is sure that he has provisions in place for Chase to look after her.
Finn points out his brother puts his life in danger every day. He asks if she would be Violet’s guardian.
She assures him nothing will happen to him. He says no one knows that for certain and asks if he can count on her. “Always,” she says.
That means a lot to him. Liz tells him everything will be okay.
He almost believes that when she says that. Finn says that his daughter is hyper-organized and he wants to make sure she’s up to.
“How hard can it be? You’re doing it,” she jokes. They look at the stars and make a wish.
Olivia, Neddie, and Carly are dragged into the PCPD, complaining that they’ve arrested the wrong people.
Chase tells them all to shut up.
Olivia explains why they were at the Highsider and Neddie isn’t happy when Carly says she was just trying to spark his memories, not succumbing to his flirting.
None of this is making sense to Chase so Olivia tells him about some lowlife coming onto her.
He gets a call from the bar’s manager. They won’t be pressing charges. He can let them down as soon as someone comes to sign them out.
Ava calls Sonny to worry about the Betty situation. He assures her that he has guys watching her and this will be over soon.
Avery comes into her room and he asks to speak to her. He tells her to get some rest for day camp.
Sonny and Nina cuddle in bed. After they fall asleep, he gets a call.
She later wakes up and notices he’s gone.
She calls Ava to panic when she sees he’s nowhere in the apartment.
She’s worried he didn’t tell her he was leaving. Ava asks her what she expected. Nina complains and her friend reminds her she’s engaged to a mobster.
They disappear in teh middle of the night and don’t explain.
Nina is discovering that knowing that in theory is different from waking up alone.
At their penthouse, Dante looks at Pikeman’s website until Sam interrupts and declares work over for the day.
He has a lot of energy left so they make out.
She stops this and asks him if Maxie can rent his house. She admits this was her idea.
He hasn’t thought about the house for a long time.
Sam tells him how chaotic it is for Maxie and the three kids in that apartment.
Maxie is practically family.
He thinks it’s a great idea and Lulu would be happy that her friend was living there. It even has a yard for the kids to play in.
If Lulu wakes up one day, she’ll be the one to decide what to do with the house.
For now, he thinks having Maxie and her family there would be perfect.
They go back to making out until Chase calls to say his mom is at the station after a bar fight and has been giving the cops a lot of attitude.

General Hospital’s comings and goings
Dante arrives at the PCPD, where his mother is railing about the cops and how they’ve treated her.
He asks Chase to explain things and then offers to sign them out. Olivia refuses, insisting she’s done nothing wrong.
Neddie spots Sonny and declares that his ride has arrived.
Olivia continues refusing to be released into her son’s custody.
Dante drags his mom away and tells her that if she stays the night, he has to as well.
He asks her to let him take her home and reminds her that Leo is at home with Tracy.
She caves but won’t admit she did anything wrong.
He offers to sign for Carly too but Sonny offers to do it.
Dante shows his mom out and Carly tells Sonny he can take Ned, but not her.
Chase tells her it is just a formality but she refuses to leave with Sonny.
Her ex tells her to stop being stubborn and just rely on him.
She’s sure Nina doesn’t want him there and tells him to take Ned and go.
Eventually, he tells her to suit herself and signs the paperwork for Neddie.
They walk out. Carly tries calling Joss but her phone seems to be silent.
She doesn’t want to wake anyone else so Chase suggests she sit and wait.
Dante goes home to Sam.
He climbs in bed with her and tells her about the bar fight and taking his mom home.
They have sex.
At the penthouse, Nina tosses and turns and tears up looking at her engagement ring.
At Wyndemere, Avery wakes her mom up and tells her she can’t sleep.
She asks to sleep with her. Ava lets her snuggle up and tells her she will make lots of new friends at camp.
Avery is excited to see Betty.
When Austin walks into his office, he finds Mason waiting for him. He needs a doctor.
Austin tells him to go to the ER but Mason claims he’s just trying to be discrete for his sake.
Austin thinks he’s hiding and demands to know what happened. His cousin admits things got out of hand with a lady at a bar.
The doctor stitches him up. Mason is sure no one saw him. He asks for an update on Betty.
The doctor says she’s his mole to keep tabs on. His cousin tells him to take some ownership and reminds him of what’s at risk.
Mason worries that Ava is not happy about the situation and tells him to reign her in.
Austin says she’s not the kind of person to be reigned in and says that everything seems fine.
Anna goes for a jog while someone watches from the bushes.
They sneak into her house and douse it with kerosene.
The house is set on fire.
When Anna returns, she can hear the fire and opens the door to see everything is aflame.
She gets outsisde and calls the fire department.
