At the church, Nina is in the confessional booth, unknowingly speaking through the grill to Cyrus about hurting someone.
He urges her to open hear heart and let God hear everything.

She also let an innocent man take the blame for it. She wishes she could change it but it’s too late.
He tells her it’s not too late and urges her to confess to the people she hurt.
Nina worries she could lose everything if she did that.
He warns that this will eat her alive and says the truth will set her free if she has the strength to right the wrongs she did.
She thanks him and leaves, saying she won’t forget. “Neither will I,” he whispers.
Once she leaves, the priest comes out, looking for Nina,
Cyrus tells him she’s gone,. He asks the clergyman how he can help a friend who is carrying a heavy burden.
The priest tells him that confession is good for the soul.
When Cyrus is left alone, he tells a statue of Mary that if Nina doesn’t confess, he may have to do it for her.
On the turret of Wyndemere, Esme flashes back through the sex tape scandal and lashing out at Ava over Nikolas.
She recalls the fire and starts to breathe heavily.
At the penthouse, Trina and Spencer put Ace to bed. he’s grateful for spending the evening with both of them.
He wonders why Esme was so generous and if she’s turned over a new leaf.
She suggests maybe Esme had a date. He finds that hard to imagine given no one likes her.
Trina thinks it’s still possible and wonders if it would bother him. He says she can do whatever she wants as long as who she dates is good to his brother.
They kiss. Esme calls. She’s quiet so he wonders if something is wrong.
Before she can explain, she hears Trina’s voice. He’s surprised when she asks him to look after his brother for the night.
She gets off the phone abruptly. Spencer tells Trina it seems like Esme has a heart after all.
After he makes sure his brother is asleep, Trina tells Spencer she needs to get home because her mom is planning breakfast.
He asks if she’s sure. It’s hard to stay away from her. They kiss.
She admits she keeps thinking about Esme and asks if he really thinks she’s had a change of heart.
He wants to think she’s becoming a better person but they can’t know that.
Spencer suggests they stop talking and they make out.
He attempts to convince her to stay but she won’t. They kiss some more until her car arrives.
They wish each other Merry Christmas and kiss again.
Ava arrives at Wyndemere and notices that a window has been broken. She gets a call from security to say they got an alarm at Spoon island and have notified the PCPD.
“That may be too late,” she says to herself, pulling out a gun.
Dante shows up and wonders why she’s there. He thought she moved out and can hardly take her in for walking around her own home with a gun.
