Days of our Lives Peacock recap for Thursday, October 20, 2022.
In today’s Days episode, Eric’s surprised to be fired, Gabi and Rafe give each other love advice, and Dr. Rolf gets a new laboratory, courtesy of Li.
In Thurday’s Days recap, Stefan & Gabi Sign Divorce Papers and Gwen Refuses to Help Ava Take Down EJ, so Ava Sets Her Sights on Someone Else
Jada finds Eric in his room, packing his cameras for a photo shoot at Basic Black.
He tells her the serum is working on his mom, Kayla and Kate. He gets a message from corporate. “I just got fired.”
He says it was due to mandated downsizing and budget issues.
He knows EJ took over the company today and thinks he had something to do with it, though the email is from Nicole. “Fired by email. Classy,” Jada says.
Eric thinks EJ forced her hand, or he’s just not that good anymore.
Jada flashes to eavesdropping on Rafe telling Nicole he doesn’t want her working with Eric.
Jada tells Eric what she overheard. Eric realizes Rafe’s jealous and she fired him to save her marriage.
Jada has to go back to work but they agree to dinner, later. They embrace.
At Basic Black, Nicole closes her laptop and looks upset. Chloe appears, apologetic that she’s late.
They talk about their relief over the serum working.
Chloe can’t contain tears and admits Brady dumped her because Rachel’s having a hard time with her dating her dad. Nicole’s sorry and turns the talk to her problems.
She thinks she’s next. She fills her friend in on Rafe walking in on her hugging Eric.
They discuss the sex dream and how it’s the sole reason Eric wound up working there.
“Now, that’s taken care of,” she admits.
She fired him via email. “Were there no carrier pigeons available?” Chloe snarks. Nic didn’t have a choice.
John arrives home to get some patient files for Doc. They talk about how lucky they got that the serum just appeared out of nowhere.
John notices Brady’s mood and questions him. He tells his dad he broke up with Chloe.
John thought he was going to talk to Rachel but Brady flashes to Kristen telling him that the women would need booster shots of the serum and snaps that he had no choice. John’s baffled.
Brady backtracks and says you do what you need to do for your children. John understands but is sorry to see Chloe go.
He doesn’t know where that serum came from. Brady says all they need to know is that it works. John runs into Chloe on his way out and once he’s gone, Chloe says she’s there to get her things.
In her auto parts apartment, Kristen sips champagne to celebrate when Stefan arrives.
He asks if she messed with his brain.
Why does he hate Gabi Hernandez? Kristen tells him she loves him.

Why would she manipulate his feelings for Gabi?
She’d love it if they were together.
That makes sense to him. He realizes she’s not anti-Gabi but maybe she’s just pro-Chloe. Kristen denies it.
Brady and Chloe have broken up. It means he can go after Chloe, now.
Stefan thinks she’s right and apologizes for bursting in on her. Once he’s gone, she feels a little bad for him but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
In his office at SPD, Rafe tells Gabi that he and Nicole had a fight after he walked in on her comforting Eric with a hug.
He says their marriage ended so abruptly that he knows there are lingering feelings.
Gabi understands that all too well. Rafe says he flew off the handle and slept at the office. Gabi urges him to go to Nicole and fix it.
They discuss how she loves Li but it hurts that Stefan’s disgusted by her.
Rafe calls his sister beautiful, smart and charismatic.
Stefan was damned lucky to have her.
She says she’s accepted that they’re through but does wonder if Rolf brainwashed him. She can’t find him to ask.
Rafe tells her where he is and wants to send a uniform with her but she doesn’t need it.
Li walks in on Dr. Rolf cleaning his laboratory after the cops searched it. Li says to leave everything.
He’s got him a new lab, outfitted with everything. Rolf wants to see it but Li says it’s about 10,000 miles away.
In Jakarta, Indonesia. Rolf’s shocked but Li assures the scientist that he’ll love it there.
Rolf thinks Li’s trying to get rid of him and doesn’t see what he’ll gain from being exiled.
Li says being away from Salem PD and Gabi Hernandez is best.
Rolf admits there isn’t much he needs to pack. Li says the private jet awaits.
Rafe walks in on Chloe asking Nicole if she wants her marriage to work at the Basic Black office.
Chloe gives them space and Rafe immediately apologizes for how he handled things.
Nic understands.
It’s too much to ask with her being close to Eric.
She knows it’s Jada’s place, not hers to console Eric.
He doesn’t need Nic to employ him. She admits she fired him. “You shouldn’t have done that,” Rafe says.
They want their marriage to be okay.
He’s sorry he slept at SPD and she suggests they could have worked things out and had incredible makeup sex.
He grins. Why didn’t he think of that? He gets a text and has to get back to work. They kiss and he goes, leaving Nicole to think about firing Eric.
Back at John and Marlena’s townhouse, Brady has a hard time seeing Chloe so unhappy.
He feels terrible. She understands why he did this and goes into the bedroom to get her stuff while Kristen shows up with her luggage.
When Chloe appears with a box, Kristen tells her she’s moving in. Chloe’s visibly stunned.
Jada goes to Rafe at SPD and admits she overheard him and Nicole fight last night. “Not my best moment,” he says.
She confesses she told Eric about it.
Rafe didn’t tell Nic to fire Eric, he says she did that of her own accord.
Nicole turns up at Eric’s room above the pub.
She’s there to tell the truth about why she fired him.
He already knows it’s about her marriage.
