Thurs Oct 5 recap of B&B: RJ thinks something is off with Eric, Donna lies and Finn suggests Hope just wants Thomas because he doesn’t want two women, the way Liam does
Wednesday’s B&B recap: Donna Begs Eric to Tell His Family He May Have Cerebrovascular Disease, But He Refuses and Starts Coughing Up Blood
Eric tickles the ivories at home until his hands cramp up and then he plays the song on his cell phone that he was trying to play.
He flashes back to coughing up blood. Donna approaches.
She thought he was playing. He stops the music and admits he tried but his hands won’t cooperate.
She kisses his hand and tells her they’re waiting to set up a new appointment. “Mini strokes,” she mutters.
They need answers. He clutches the back of his neck and seems off, but assures her he’s fine.
RJ arrives and can sense something is up.
Eric doesn’t let his grandson know about his Cerebrovascular Disease and calls RJ a great designer.
His loyalty means so much. They look at a design and Eric wants to use diamonds.
RJ calls it expensive but Eric says you can’t cut corners or sacrifice for speed or cost.
“And always use the company credit card.” RJ says, “Well it’s your company.” Eric laughs.
He can’t wait for Ridge and Carter to see the invoice. Donna calls him “bad.”
Eric says when they win this, they’ll take his office and company back. He leaves the room and Donna confesses to RJ that Eric’s been having mini-strokes and he feels like he’s running out of time, which is why he feels he has to rush the collection.
In the other room, Eric takes pills and flashes to coughing up blood.
He coughs and takes a seat, pulling out his hanky before being relieved that there’s no blood in it.

Daily B&B spoilers into October
Finn answers the door at the cliffhouse to Hope who says Steffy texted and said he needed Kelly’s sequenced pillow for a care package.
They both talk about how complicated their lives are and she laughs and calls him out for downplaying it.
He brings up her and Thomas and tells her she’s better than Thomas.
She laughs, noting that everyone has an opinion on that. Finn is sorry but they all know his history.
Especially her. Finn thinks highly of her and wants what’s best for her.
He asks what’s going on and she’s reluctant to say but confesses things haven’t been easy, trying to adjust to the new normal, new schedule for the kids, and dealing with work as her marriage fell apart.
“It’s sad with Liam and his divided heart.” Finn can understand why she wants Thomas then.
He isn’t in love with two women. Finn thinks she’s always been chasing devotion and now she has it but does she really want to be with him with all that history?
She laughs and says she believes in second, third and fourth chances but she does believe people can change.
She says he has changed. She didn’t realize how ground down she was with the sadness of it all. Growing up, she says she watched her mom in pain because of a man’s divided heart.
She tears up as she says she did it too and wonders if it’s so hard to ask to be in love with a man who only loves her.
She breaks down in sobs and Finn hugs her. She’s embarassed.
She talks about Rome and brings up Liam’s love for Steffy.
Finn says they talk daily and text. Hope says Steffy’s lucky to have him.
Finn thinks Hope’s only interested in Thomas because his sole interest is in her.
Deacon and Sheila make out on his sofa. She keeps pausing because she can’t believe they’re engaged.
He’s getting her a ring, he says, noting she’s deserving of a second chance.
She jokes that he should tell her son that. They wonder how the kids will react when they reveal the engagement.
She can’t believe the lengths he went through to be with her and hopes that things with Hope go well.
She feeds Deacon strawberries and repeats how exciting it is to be his fiancee.
They talk about the kids and Finn being free of Steffy so she can have another chance.
