Wednesday, May 22, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke, Steffy, and Ridge are appalled by Deacon’s choice, Finn refuses to attend the wedding, and Deacon offers Sheila a fire-eating pony.
Tuesday’s Early B&B recap: As Hope was confronted about her attitude to Sheila, Sheila begged Finn to be part of her wedding.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke, Steffy, and Ridge are all appalled to hear that Deacon proposed to Sheila. “What kind of morons would go?” Steffy complains.
Ridge thinks Deacon is a moron and Brooke thinks he’s been snowed. Steffy refuses to let Sheila lure her husband into her life.
Steffy refuses to trust anyone who thinks Sheila can be trusted. She, and anyone who supports her, needs to stay away from Finn.
Brooke can understand her daughter wanting to support Deacon, but she should put her foot down so he will reconsider this.
Hope says she will always do what she can to protect the children.
Steffy goes off on “the psychopath” and how she needs to stay away from her kids.
She makes it clear that she’s given Finn an ultimatum to stay away from his birth mother and put his entire loyalty and commitment on her.
At Il Giardino, Sheila tells Finn that she will never forget the wonderful things he said about her.
They know this isn’t simple for him and she’s not trying to make trouble for his marriage…but it would mean the world to her if he could be there on her wedding day.
Finn supports their relationship and can see Deacon is devoted.
Sheila assumes his over-controlling life won’t let her son be part of the wedding. She urges him to dig into his deep heart and say yes.
They want him to be part of their wedding.
He says he’s grateful that he was asked.
Sheila tells him how hard she has been working on herself. She knows he can see that and thinks Steffy could feel the same.
She reminds him of how she saved Taylor on the roof and Kelly on the beach.
Finn flashes back to that and is thankful she was there.
Deacon adds that she risked her life to try and stop Sugar.
Sheila says she would do anything to protect his precious family and wishes she could have spared Steffy of what happened that night.
She begs Finn to try and talk Steffy into letting him come to the wedding.
Finn repeats that he wants her to be happy and wishes her the best but can’t be there.
His mom looks disappointed.
Finn tells her she deserves a beautiful ceremony but he has to put his wife first.
After wishing her good luck, he walks out.
The sun goes down.
Sheila mopes. Deacon tells her he’s sorry but it was worth a shot.
She was so caught up in imagining her handsome son at her wedding. Deacon assures her it will still be an important day and offers to get her a
fire-eating pony.
Sheila says she’s finally getting a man who loves her for her. He hates seeing her heartbroken and wants to make sure she’s loved.
When he assures her that she and Finn will be alright, she recalls how overjoyed her son was to see her alive again.
Today, he was distant because he had to be. Steffy will never think she’s worthy of her son’s love.
Deacon gives her a cuddle.

Back at Forrester, Ridge stops arguing on the phone to go back to telling Hope that she can’t start seeing Sheila the way Deacon does.
Hope can’t forget what she’s done in the past but she also has to recognize how she’s changed and tried to help.
She’s lost enough time with her father and doesn’t want to lose more.
Brooke groans when she explains she’s been asked to the wedding. Her jaw drops when she admits she was asked to be the maid of honor.
They hope she turned them down. Brooke gags when she hasn’t and Ridge declares this unacceptable.
Hope insists it would just be an appearance to support her dad.
“No no no way no!” declares Brooke. Hope insists this is not about Sheila but her relationship with her dad.
Steffy gets home to the cliff house, puts on her athleisure and puts the kids to bed before Finn arrives.
She wants some time alone with him.
He sighs about his day. Her eyes dart around when he mentions Deacon and Sheila.
He fills her in about the engagement. Deacon asked him to be the best man and he turned him down. Then Sheila showed up.
His wife assumes she begged him to change his mind.
Finn made it clear that his commitment is to his wife.
Finn tells her nothing comes before her, Kelly, and Hayes.
She hugs him tight.
