Michael Corbett will be making a return to daytime TV but not as notorious villain David Kimble on Y&R. This time, Corbett appears on B&B in a smaller role as Evan Scott, the judge who resides over Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) criminal case.
Corbett’s first role wasn’t Y&R’s David.
The actor made his soap debut as Michael Pavel on Ryan’s Hope before moving on as Warren Carter on Search for Tomorrow.
He briefly played Brent Cameron on One Life to Live before that rollercoaster ride as David on Young and the Restless, a role he has been forever associated with since Kimble, in an attempt to hide from the law, went to a plastic surgeon and demanded they change his looks. They ended up engraving KILLER on his forehead.
Corbet will first be seen Friday, July 21 and Monday, July 24.
The role, the actor told Soap Digest, came about after he attended Y&R’s 50th-anniversary celebration last March. “Nobody knows my skill set when it comes to daytime television better than the Bells,” he explains. “Brad [Bell, B&B’s executive producer/head writer] knows exactly what I can do and later I was offered this role of Judge Evan Scott.” Corbett enthuses that his first day on the set “was like a homecoming and everyone was incredibly loving and supportive and it was just so much fun.”
Although this time is a limited run, Corbett is optimistic that there’ll be a need for Judge Scott in the near future. “I fully intend to be reprising,” he shares. “We’ll see how they write it and how that unfolds.”
Sophia Paras McKinlay
Sophia Paras McKinlay returns to Bold and Beautiful as Kelly Spencer.
McKinlay’s mother reported a five-episode appearance was taped on June 20 and she is first seen on Monday, July 17, and Friday, July 28. She will return again in August on the 17th and 18th.
Ken Hanes returns to B&B as Mike Guthrie. You can see Mike Wednesday, July 19.
Akeem Mair will appear on Bold as a guard in scenes with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). He’ll be seen July 19.
Rodney Van Johnson
Rodney Van Johnson makes another appearance on B&B as Sheila’s lawyer who will once again be representing Sheila.
He appeared in the January 9, 10 and 11 episodes.
Van Johnson will be seen on Friday July 21.
Scott Hamm will be seen as Bailiff Sanchez at Sheila’s trial.
Hamm played the bailiff June 1 and 2, 2023 and will be seen again Friday July 21.
He’s also portrayed on General Hospital as Frank Rauch.
He was also in Cobra Kai as Ear Gauge and was the Lead Secret Service Agent in Scandal.
