Tuesday, Nov 28, 2023: Today on General Hospital, Drew has news for Scout, Finn faces questions about the malpractice suit, and Alexis and Laura discuss Esme.
Monday’s GH recap: As Port Charles celebrated Thanksgiving, Nina delivered pizza after the Quartermaine dinner was ruined.
At General Hospital, Portia asks Liz if she’s heard from Austin.
He hasn’t shown up for work.
They wonder what could have happened.
Finn walks over and asks Portia to sign off on the treatment he’s prescribing for a patient.
She looks it over and agrees with his assessment.
He sighs and walks off.
Portia and Liz talk about how ridiculous it is that he has to be supervised just because he’s being sued.
This is all very frustrating for the nurse. Portia goes off.
Liz tries calling Austin again.
She heads to Finn’s office as he complains about paperwork.
The nurse gives him a breathing exercise to calm down.
She hopes that cleared out his head so he can hear her tell him he did nothing wrong.
He knows but keeps going over it in his head.
The doctor needs to remember he’s not good.
She thinks patients need to remember that too.
Liz is sure he provided the best treatment possible and will keep reminding him of this.
DeDe Clark (played by Shelley Robertson), the hospital’s lawyer for the malpractice lawsuit, shows up.
She warns Liz that she may have to interview her about the suit at some point.
Once Liz exits, Finn explains he’s been advised to retain his own counsel.
She understands but has to question him before deciding on how to proceed with the case.
They discuss how Mr. Muldoon became his patient and the worries about tapeworm, the course of treatment.
He goes over it in detail and explains all the tests he ran before Muldoon was discovered to have cancer.
When she asks if any of the symptoms could have been cancer related, he insists on having his lawyer present.
TJ finds Molly in the hall.
She tells him they have an appointment to find a new surrogate.
They walk the hall and talk about how the matching professional said she had some more possibilities.
He points out that she agreed to meet with them before even telling him about this.
It’s happening too fast for him.
TJ reminds her that it wasn’t hypothetical, it was real.
He’s not sure when he’ll be able to make that kind of emotional investment again.
He gets beeped off to work and she flashes back to tell her mom about losing the baby.
Dr. Navarro runs into her and tells her how sorry she is about the surrogate’s miscarriage.
Molly droops when the doctor asks if she will consider trying again.
She explains the surrogate isn’t interested so they will have to start from scratch if they agree to go through it again.
Navarro tells her there are many examples of surrogacy working and wishes her the best.
TJ, Portia, and Liz continue to wonder where Austin is.
Liz offers to go and check at his place.
TJ checks on Austin’s patients and then Portia tells him she may ask him to stay longer.
He says he was looking for an excuse to stay anyway.
Liz returns to say that she visited Austin’s apartment and got the super to let her in but it looked like he hadn’t been there for days.
