80s villain extraordinaire.
George DelHoyo originated the role of Milo Harp, Orpheus, in 1986. The actor took several breaks as his alter ego was put to rest over the years. As with any Days of our Lives villains, Orpheus has been “killed off,” or sent to prison, only to return nastier than ever. SoapsSpoilers looks back on his history.
Milo Harp was an ISA agent and marksman, Roman Brady’s (Josh Taylor) ISA partner. When Roman accidentally shot his wife Rebecca and killed her while on a KGB assignment, Orpheus schemed to take revenge. He kidnapped Dr. Marlena Evans and shot her in the back in front of Roman, hoping Roman would feel the same devastation he felt when Rebecca died. Though Roman thought Marlena died of a bullet wound, he didn’t realize that she’d been shot with a tranquilizer.
Harp took Marlena and his children Evan and Zoey Burge (currently played by Kelly Thiebaud/Alyshia Ochse) to some European hideout and tormented Roman by sending him videos that made Roman think Marlena might be alive. Roman went after his former partner and found him in Sweden. He shot him, but by the time he got to Marlena, she had been put on a plane that had blown up. Of course, she didn’t die. And neither did Orpheus!
Orpheus disappeared for a time and resurfaced in 2016 in prison. He’d become friendly with the likes of other Salem villains in Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Clyde Weston (James Read) who planned to break out of Statesville together. They took Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) hostage and received 20 million to release him. Setting bombs off around Salem.

- Kidnapped Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva)
- Orpheus faked suicide by drinking a potion in front of everyone at the Salem Police Department.
- Disguised himself as a magician during Halloween so he could kidnap Marlena and Kayla. He tied them up and nailed them inside coffins, then set the coffins on fire. Steve Johnson, John Black, and Andre DiMera saved them.
- Kidnapped and demanded 10 million for John Black. In the process, he force-fed John sponge cake so he didn’t waste away, in one of the more bizarre scenes.
Faked his own death with the help of Pamela Van Damme of the ISA for being a snitch. - Learned that his son, Evan/Christian (Brock Kelly) was in Salem and had a child with Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause). Returned to Salem and helped Evan to kidnap David.
- Finally, Orpheus was caught when Steve Johnson tasered him with an app on his cell phone. Yep. Interestingly enough. Only in Salem, right?!
- Orpheus was moved to another facility.
