In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Diane hands over the necklace to Stark, Phyllis and Diane get into an argument, and Summer and Kyle go at it. In the previous episode, Devon kicked Tucker out, and Ashley left for Paris, as Adam and Billy fought.

Phyllis finds Stark dining alone at Society. She asks what kind of game he’s playing. Using Diane or he and Diane are working Jack.
“Which is it?” He remembers how sorry she was the last time they met. She says that’s when she thought Diane left town.
Jeremy admits that by the end of the day, he’ll know where Diane’s loyalty lies. He insists he is grateful for her for bringing him to Genoa City.
He wants to buy her breakfast but she just wants to know what he’s hiding. He asks what she wants. She wants Diane out of the city.
He calls her thoughtful. She claims she’s an angel.
She wants Diane to pay. Jeremy respects that. She’s a woman who knows what she wants and won’t let anyone get in her way.
She’s also not afraid of him. Phyllis asks if she should be.
At the Abbott house, Jack’s tired. He was up all night trying to figure out how to bring this Stark mess to an end.
The stress between Summer, Kyle and Diane is upsetting to him. Diane thinks they are making progress. She’ll give Jeremy Nikki’s necklace today.
Jack thinks there’s a way to accelerate the sting. Later, he’s told her his plan and she thinks it can work. She calls Jeremy to meet.
He’s still with Phyllis and invites her to Society but agrees to meet at his hotel.
Jack says step one is done and it’s time for him to take care of his part. Nearby, Summer comes out with a banana.
He asks if that’s for him. She didn’t know he was there. That pisses him off. She notices that Diane’s still there in the same outfit as last night.
“You spent the night?” Jack explains his need to protect Diane. Summer’s annoyed and takes off before they detail their criminal plan and Kyle heads out separately.
Diane worries about being to blame for their argument.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon gives Chance coffee. They talk about his job and following instincts. He’s having doubts about his career.
She encourages him to examine those doubts on a deeper level. He talks about being in the service, and how he liked the structure and sense of purpose.
He details his resume. He likes being undercover. He likes being someone else sometimes.
She thinks it’s a pattern. How much time has he spent being himself and finding out what he truly likes? He too wonders if he chose his life or his life chose him.
She gives him a massive croissant and he says he’s got to ask if he’s doing the thing that’ll make him happy. She suggests therapy but he doesn’t like it, though it might be worth it.
Jack appears and she gets his coffee while Chance gets a call from Chicago PD. Jack looks up.
Back at Society, Jeremy refuses to tell Phyllis anything and when he goes, Daniel appears.
She tells him who the man is. He hopes she wasn’t fraternizing with him. She says of course she is.
She explains the woman was so frightened of him and suddenly she’s hanging with him at Glam Club.
She can’t ignore him because he’s a criminal and he made it sound l like something big is happening today.
Daniel tells her it’s enough. It has to stop. She wants that too. She says she was with Jack before Diane got there but she saw him kissing her recently.
She wants the woman gone. “Really, really gone.” Daniel knows she and Jack and Diane have a history but the ball is in Jack’s court.
He gets to choose who is in his life. If that’s Diane, she needs to let him. “It is what it is,” he says, which annoys her because she hates that saying.
He’s starting to see that he may have made a mistake in working with him. The project is supposed to be about positivity.
She says, “Are you saying that I have negative energy?” He tells her to tame her anger. She smiles. How?
He tells her to read self-help books. He takes off as Tucker appears. He sits with her. “You’ll do.” He jokes that it’s the warmest invitation he’s had in a while.
She asks what he thinks would happen if she blackmailed the entire town, left, sashayed back, and convinced everyone she had changed, only for them to learn it was untrue.
She basically details what she thinks Diane is up to. She asks if she’s be welcomed back. He says this is familiar.
He calls her affable, charming. She shrugs. Her son just lectured her to get self-help books and says she should let Diane run this town.
She’s conned even the smartest men. “Like you.” She says things have changed and she calls Tucker the enlightened one.
She can’t take it much longer. He tells her to take the path of least resistance. She scoffs that sh’s read more profound things in a fortune cookie.
She asks where the guy went who asks her to burn it all down went. She found him more interesting.

Summer and Kyle arrive at Jabot. He wants to talk. She can’t do this anymore.
She invites him to go to Paris with Harrison and her.
He says no, she misunderstood him. She reminds him his father broke into her grandma’s apartment.
They can’t be a part of this anymore.
Kyle’s unhappy that she refused to let them find out what his mom is up to which means he won’t know what kind of trouble she’s in.
Summer won’t apologize for that.
Diane arrives at Stark’s hotel room at Grand Phoenix.
She hands over Nikki’s necklace.
It’s perfect. He asks how he can be sure it’s Nikki Newman’s.
She tells him she was pictured in it in countless photos and shows him a tag. N & V.
He wants details on how she got the necklace. She licks her lips and says “a girl” has to have some secrets. She tells him the bare minimum from Jack’s story.
He wants to steal from the rest of the powerful Genoa City citizens. He wants to start by robbing Phyllis blind.
She scoffs so he says what about the Abbotts? She can’t steal from her kid and grandkid.
He asks if she trusts him. He tells her to turn around.
It’s time he repays her for a job well done.
She reluctantly does so and thinks he’s going to strangle her. Instead, he places the necklace around her neck.
She looks relieved.
She says this is for him.
She can’t wear this around town.
He still wants proof she is with him so she kisses him. It’s clear he wants sex when he starts removing his clothes so he fakes an allergy attack and he goes to shower his cologne off while she plants something in his room in the drawer and under his mattress.
Back at Jabot, Summer tells Kyle that this thing with his mother is going to blow up in his face.
Daniel appears and Kyle takes off. She complains that they fight about Diane a lot.
He lets her know he and their mom got into it and why.
Summer says she’s surprised Phyllis isn’t spinning out of control.
Daniel thinks they need a way to save Mom from herself. Kyle returns and angrily asks who she’s talking about.
Daniel goes and she says it was Phyllis but the same applies to Diane. Kyle snipes at her about that and then bitches when Victor calls to meet.
