In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Devon tries to get in touch with Amanda, Lily and Elena have negative reactions to Nate’s news, and Chelsea gets the help she needs.
In the previous episode, Kyle learned that his mom lied, and Phyllis was disappointed that Jack did not dump Diane.

At some psych facility, Sharon talks to Jean, the therapist in charge who assures her that they will take good care of Chelsea.
They can stay with her while she settles in. Sharon’s grateful.
She tells Chelsea she’ll be well looked at.
Chelsea looks withdrawn and says nothing. Billy says it’s important she knows what’s happening.
Chelsea jumps up and says no.
She can’t be in a place like this again.
Billy promises this place is different and the help is, too. He’ll be with her every step of the way.
She tears up and says nobody can promise to always be there. He is.
Chelsea worries about what people will think of her but Billy says none of that matters.
She’s embarrassed. Sharon tells her this will go at her pace and she can take the time to get better.
This is all confidential. Billy assures that Connor will be taken care of.
She’ll spend time with him for Thanksgiving.
They leave when the therapist returns and try to figure out how to deal with Adam and Connor.
Later, Jean tries to get Chelsea to open up. She asks questions about whether or not she’s married, and has kids.
Chelsea talks about Connor and how she gave Johnny up.
The therapist says they can revisit that topic when she’s ready and asks if she’s been hospitalized.
Chelsea nods. She tried to hurt someone. A wonderful man.
She talks about Rey and feeling guilty about his death, though it had nothing to do with her.
Jean asks if she has had prior suicidal thoughts or attempts.
Chelsea’s not sure she wanted to die. She just didn’t want to be in pain. She cries.
The therapist thinks there are people who are rooting for her and she doesn’t know it.
Like Sharon and Billy. Chelsea wants to get better. She’s not sure if it’s possible.
Devon finds Lily at work.
He sighs and tells her that he caught Victoria and Nate celebrating his new job as CEO of Newman Media.
She’s shocked and guesses he’s been colluding with her.
Devon agrees. Lily says it doesn’t even matter.
There’s no takeover.
Devon says it’s unforgivable and they talk about how wonderful Nate was.
Talk turns to Neil. She flashes back to talking with Neil.
She wishes she could go back to that time. She was so cold and distant to Neil who only wanted her love.
Devon asks her not to be hard on herself. She was a teenager.
Devon flashes back to Neil telling her that this was a crossroads to him.
He says everything he is was inspired by Neil.
They reminisce at length and she recalls her second marriage to Cain and how she asked Neil to walk her down the aisle.
They joked around and embraced. She says he always gave them room to make their own decisions whether it was right or wrong.
Devon recalls Neil telling him they should be a real team.
Devon misses him so much.
He doesn’t want to let him go.
They stare at an old family photo, teary-eyed.
Billy arrives and Devon says he heard he was quitting, especially right now. Billy offered to stay but Lily insisted the timing was right.
Devon will defer to her but he thinks it’s a bad move for the company. Billy gets it. Devon wishes him the best and goes.
Billy tells Lily that Chelsea had an emotional break and needs time to heal.
He can’t tell her more but he and Sharon are trying to support her.
Lily’s glad she’s getting help and that he did his part. Billy explains that he’s not done.
He promised he’d help the other woman through it “every step of the way.”
Lily’s pissed that he always needs to help other women. How much time is he going to dedicate to her?
He can’t say but can’t turn his back on her. Once he’s gone, Lily texts to see if he’ll do lunch.

At home, Nate drinks coffee. Elena returns.
He’s happy to see her and missed her a lot.
She admits she didn’t take the job in Baltimore but is in a state of confusion.
She couldn’t move without seeing if they can make things work.
It’s what Nate wants. She asks to talk now and he looks at his watch.
He decides whatever he has to do can wait and tells her he reached out to Devon but he can’t get over what he did.
Nate babbles about what happened, recapping it for her benefit.
He says he has to live with the guilt of betraying his family. Elena’s sorry.
Why not tell them Victoria’s the one he was working with?
Nate isn’t sure that admitting he was colluding with her will help them get over it.
Elena thinks he should do it anyway, to keep trying. Talk turns to his new job. Sally’s out and he’s in at Newman Media.
Elena’s shocked. Nate says it was only temporary for Sally who wasn’t a fit. Elena doesn’t look happy.
She realizes that job was the reward Victoria offered up.
He asks why she assumes it’s negative. Elena says she had a CEO.
She calls it a pat on the head for his part in keeping quiet in a hostile takeover attempt.
Nate is surprised.
Adam gets Connor some cocoa at Crimson Lights.
He has a day off and asks where Mom is. Adam lies that she’s not feeling well.
Connor wants to tell her that he and Johnny talked about her being his bio-mom.
Adam thinks it’s very grown up. They realize they may have made a bigger deal than what it is.
Adam gets it. They’re glad they found out and Connor says it doesn’t change much.
He wants to tell Mom. Adam nods but says she must be busy.
Connor worries she’s avoiding him. Adam tells him not to feel guilty about his feelings.
Sharon arrives as Adam learns that his son just wanted his mama to know how she felt.
He wasn’t purposefully trying to hurt her.
Billy turns up and Sharon tells him she just heard from the intake therapist who says Chelsea has opened up.
They think Adam and Connor need to be told something soon.
She urges him to go check on Chelsea while Adam watches, wondering what they’re discussing.
When Billy goes back to the facility, Adam appears and asks what she and Billy are hiding.
Devon arrives at Society and texts Amanda to call when she can.
He tells her about Nate working for Victoria and how he misses his dad.
Amanda starts a reply and then stops typing.
Devon asks for Abby who hasn’t come in yet.
Back at the mental health facility, Billy holds Chelsea’s hand as she tries to get some rest.
