Big returns for Y&R’s 50th anniversary.
Soaps Spoilers has the scoop about which soap opera stars will be making an appearance on CBS’ The Young and the Restless in March since Y&R marks 50 years of being on the air.
The show got its start on March 26, 1973, and we know many of you watched that very first episode and are still viewing the show daily in 2023.
Y&R will be hosting many big returns to commemorate this iconic event starting the week of March 20 and ending around March 31.
Soap Opera Digest revealed that so far, the list of returns includes Michael Damian, who of course is back once again as Danny Romalotti.
Danny left for a short tour after visiting Phyllis, Daniel and Christine in November last year.
So many have wanted to see Gina Roma return and we can confirm that Patty Weaver is back in the role.
Weaver originated the role of Gina in 1982 and was seen for decades before leaving the show.
Before that, some of you may recall she portrayed Trish Clayton on Days of our Lives from 1976 to 1982.

Also returning is scream queen and naughty celebrity journalist, Barbara Crampton, who originated the role of Leanna Love back in 1987.
Remember that tell-all book she wrote about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) called ‘Ruthless: The Victor Newman Story’?
She hasn’t been seen since 2007, though the actress has received her fair share of Lifetime Achievement awards for her incredible contribution to the horror genre.
She’s currently involved in the horror, Suitable Flesh, for those who would like to follow her outside of the show.
Tricia Cast also returns as Nina Webster.
It’s been a few months since we saw her before she took off to Australia.
Last, but definitely not least is fan favorite, Veronica Redd, who is back in the role of beloved Mamie Johnson, the Abbott’s old housekeeper before the invisible Mrs. Martinez came to work for them.
Redd played Mamie from 1990 to 1995 and returned again from 1999 to 2004.
She’s been missed ever since.
Folks can find these returns showing up mid-March, just in time to celebrate that 50-year anniversary on March 26.
