Co-Executive Producer/Head Writer Josh Griffith previews what’s going down with all of the Genoa City residents of Y&R during May sweeps 2023 with Soap Opera Digest.
What’s coming up on Y&R during May sweeps?
Looks like it’s about romance and intrigue.
Victor and ‘That Spectra woman’
Victor (Eric Braeden) is worried that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), AKA That Spectra Woman is going to continue to cause damage to his family, namely his sons, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Adam (Mark Grossman).
Victor blames Sally for the issues between the brothers and decides to make Sally an offer he hopes and thinks she won’t refuse.
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas) struggles with her own feelings, not about that but about both Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick’s choices in partners.
She’s worried like a mama bear, that history will repeat itself.
The delicious soapy triangle
Nate finds himself in the hot seat when it’s not just Nick now who knows about what he’s up to with Victoria but The Mustache.
When Victor learns about Nate’s affair with Victoria, he grills Nate about his intentions with his only daughter.
And for Newman Enterprises, given Victor knows about how Nate treated his family business in the past.
Nick starts to grow suspicious of Nate’s true agenda — like father like son.
Elena, meanwhile, has discovered Victoria’s Achilles’ Heel which is JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill).
She goes through with the plan to get JT back to Genoa City, with the hopes he’ll get back with Victoria, thus leaving her Nate alone.
Consequences are coming!
Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria will deal with the fallout of their affair since it’s going to become public at home and at the office!
Jack crosses a line
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) continues her path of seeking revenge against Diane even while she’s presumed dead.
Jack (Peter Bergman) does all he can to prove Diane’s innocence and finds himself in over his head when he crosses a line to protect his fiance.
Christine (Lauralee Bell) is back at the DA’s office of course, and just in time.
She and Chance team up to investigate Phyllis’ death which doesn’t lead to more answers but more questions than ever.
Christine finds herself in a strange position of looking for justice for the woman who was a rival to her.
The one who ran her down once upon a time!
Ashley and Tucker’s big drama
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has already asked Tucker (Trevor St. John) to move into the Abbott mansion with her and he of course agrees.
This complicates things with Jack even more than her issues with her brother caused by their disagreement about Diane Jenkins (Susan Waters).
Ashley’s already been drawn to Tucker for some time, though she’s tried to move on from him.
This time, living with Tucker will force her to question what her true feelings are for the man.
Shemar Moore’s return
Devon (Bryton James) is reunited with not only his biological mother, Harmony (Chene Lawson) but his uncle Malcolm (Shemar Moore).
Devon seeing his family leads him to make a life-changing decision about his future.
Meanwhile, Tucker tries to win Devon’s trust but it’s not going to be easy.

Kyle & Summer’s marital discord
Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) and Summer’s (Allison Lanier) marriage is already being tried right now since they can’t agree on whether or not Diane’s a good person or if she murdered Phyllis.
Their marriage is headed toward breaking now with the feud possibly being the last straw for the couple.
Sharon’s Crisis
Sharon (Sharon Case) faces an unexpected crisis in May, a threat from the past.
She turns to Nick (Joshua Morrow) for support and help.
Adam sees all of this and is waiting for his chance with Sally.
He’s ready to discredit his brother and reunite with Sally.
Romance blossoms for this foursome
Billy and Chelsea navigate a future together.
Lily remains supportive of Daniel, especially during the investigation into Phyllis’ death.
