In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Adam wonders what Billy wants with Chelsea, Chloe asks Nick for a favor, and Sharon finds Chelsea somewhere to live. In the previous episode, Devon faced Chance, Diane threatened Nikki, Phyllis, and Ashley, and Tucker told Diane to go off the grid.

Adam stops by the mental institute and tells Chelsea she looks like she’s getting stronger.
Her doctor has authorized her release for today. She’ll be seeing her on an out-patient basis.
He offers to help her find a place to live. She’s just eager to see Connor and explain what happened.
“Eventually,” he says. She thinks he’s making excuses to avoid the truth, but he thinks she’s being premature about something she’s barely dealt with herself.
He encourages her to think about what is best for their son and she insists that’s what she’s doing.
Adam urges her to gradually fill in Connor. She worries he will hear gossip and blame himself. He suggests they talk to her therapist about this together.
He reminds her of how upset their son already is. If he thinks he pushed her this far, he worries what that could do to him.
Dr. Malone shows up and Adam offers to pick her up later. She says Sharon and Billy will get her.
After Adam exits, Malone notices her patient is unsettled. Chelsea is confused that Adam wants to wait.
Malone is only concerned about how she feels and only secondarily about Connor. Chelsea is determined that her son hear the whole truth from her and reassure him that this was not his fault.
Malone says the kid could be creating all kinds of scenarios in his head, so they need to make it clear he’s not to blame. They just need to open up the dialogue in a safe way.
Chelsea tells her that she’s getting over her turmoil and is eager to tell Chloe about what she’s been going through.
The doctor assures her she’s strong enough to make it through all this.
At Crimson Lights, Billy and Sharon discuss Chelsea’s release. He’s happy to hear it’s happening so fast.
They don’t think she should go back to the Phoenix but somewhere fresh.
Sharon already has a solution. Mariah and Tessa are moving to the Newman tack house, so their apartment is available to Chelsea.
Billy thinks she’s gone above and beyond for someone she has a challenging relationship with. She admits she had to think about this a lot.
This is a delicate time and Chelsea has some more obstacles to navigate.
Adam shows up and the three of them discuss Chelsea.
Although he’s reluctant to talk with Billy there, he explains how committed Chelsea is to telling Connor everything immediately.
Sharon says it’s a hard situation for everyone, but they need to support Chelsea’s choice. Billy agrees with this. Adam asks for a word with him alone.
They go out to the patio. Adam thanks him for saving Chelsea… but he wonders what his continued involvement in her recovery means.
Billy claims he just wants Chelsea to be happy. He doesn’t expect Adam to understand that he promised to help her in any way she needed.
Adam wonders how Lily feels about his dedication to another woman. He worries that he’s been telling Chelsea whatever she wants to hear.
Billy understands he wants to be cautious but says they need to take their cues from Dr. Malone.
Sharon and Billy arrive at the mental institute as Malone ends her session with Chelsea.
He tells her she should take all the time she needs before leaving. She’s eager to go but doesn’t know where.
Noticing that they keep smiling at each other, she wonders what’s going on. They don’t explain.

Adam returns to the mental institute but Chelsea has already been discharged.
Malone tells him Chelsea is lucky to have so much support.
Billy and Sharon take Chelsea to Crimson Lights. She’s eager to find a place to live.
They explain that the apartment upstairs is empty if she’s interested. She’s perplexed by the offer after everything she did to Sharon.
They encourage her to say yes for her own sake and the cinnamon buns. Chelsea accepts and throws her arms around Sharon.
When they take her upstairs, she repeats how kind they are being. Billy tells her they will be there for her.
Sharon welcomes her and then leaves.
Chelsea tells Billy she doesn’t know if she could have got through this without him. He’s sure she could have.
When she asks what Lily knows, he admits he kept it pretty vague. Chelsea doesn’t want her to get the wrong idea so he needs to tell her the truth.
Chloe joins Sally in the park and hands her the plastic bucket Miles left.
She explains they can fill it with positive things and dumps some change in.
They list all the things they can add to their CVs. What direction will be next for them?
Chloe says they just have to summon their good energy and create their own opportunities.
After using a bunch of cooking analogies, they slap hands and Chloe urges her to accept Nick’s offer to help them. He arrives.
When he sits down, Chloe tells him they need work and a sense of purpose. Nick is happy to hear her pitch.
Chloe explains that Sally came to town wanting to shine. She regrets not getting along with Summer but has changed and learned to focus her energies in a positive direction.
Chloe hopes he will try to convince his daughter to give Sally a second chance. Sally snaps and tells her to dial it back.
She would never ask him to intervene to get them a job at Marchetti. She still feels terrible about what she did to Summer and Kyle.
Nick says if he was in charge, he would hire them in a second, but he doesn’t interfere in his daughter’s business. However, he does off them a loan.
Chloe is thrilled but Sally declines the offer. Her friend says they should discuss this in private.
She has to walk off to deal with a message from her babysitter.
Standing up, Nick feels like he needs to apologize for offering to do her a favor. The idea just came to him.
He insists it is only a loan, not a way of making up for what his sister did. She thinks this sounds like a colossally bad idea.
All the big adventures in his life start like that. He asks her out to drink so they can discuss what they want from life.
She’d like that.
When Chloe returns, Nick leaves the ladies to discuss things and hopes they consider his offer.
Once he’s gone, Chloe tries convincing her friend to take him up on his offer. Sally doesn’t want to be in anyone debt and things between her and Nick are a little blurry.
Her friend asks her to take her personal feelings out of this and just think of this as business.
Sally points out that didn’t work out at Newman. She’s determined to keep her personal and professional lives separate.
Chloe keeps begging her not to say no yet.
Later, Adam wanders into the park and thinks about Sally, Chelsea, and Chloe telling him how toxic he is and how hard he tried to apologize for it but messed it up by mentioning Nick.
He goes to Society for a drink. Nick wanders in. Adam is sarcastic.
His brother tells him he’s meeting someone. Adam can guess who. Sally walks in.
