In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Nick worries to Sharon about his sister, Adam has some unwelcome wisdom for Chelsea, and Victor assures Nikki that everything will be okay. In the previous episode, Chloe and Chelsea fought about her new job, Phyllis fumed, and Nate needed a favor from Imani.

Nick meets with his parents at Crimson Lights. They talk about how angry Victoria will be about him giving Victor information about where she went and what she was planning. Nikki is worried that this will push her further away.
Victor tells them to wait and see how things do. When Nick leaves to get a refill, Victor asks his wife about requesting Michael dig up dirt on Diane. He doesn’t want their lawyer splitting his focus. He urges her to be patient, sure that all will work out.
The mustache tells her not to worry about any of this. His wife can’t understand why he’s being so calm. He urges her to trust their daughter. She wonders if he has a plan and it’s already working.
Nikki worries it will be hard for her daughter to take back her seat at Newman if she stays away. Her husband keeps smiling, but he admits he’s not sure this will work out. He doesn’t know what Victoria is thinking.
Nick chats with Sharon about Victoria. He admits that he told his dad everything she told him and he used his influence to prevent any investment in her plans. Now he’s not sure he did the right thing. She wonders why his sister put him in that position.
He knows it might all be part of some convoluted game Victoria is playing. He’s afraid that if that’s true, he’s undermined whatever good will he’s established with his sister. If he was still involved in the company, maybe things would be different?
He’s sure she doesn’t think he should jump back in. She’s not telling him what to do. Nick doesn’t know what to do. He just wants his sister to be okay.
Ashland returns to the suite in New York. He tells Victoria that most of the offices he saw weren’t that nice, but there was one in Tribeca that could be perfect. She says he’s handsome when discussing buying real estate.
As he talks, he senses things are a little off with her and asks if she’s having second thoughts. She’s not and is eager to see the building. Also, she’s already hired an attorney to hire the paperwork.
They decide to call their company Destiny Media. After some awkward I love yous, she wants to get the paperwork underway and urges him to put him money into the new account as soon as possible.
As she hugs him, she says he has no idea how badly she wants this. After she gives him all the relevant banking information, she tells them she will prove to her family that she can call all the shots without them hovering over her.
“This is my statement of a lifetime,” she says. He gets choked up talking about how he didn’t think it was possible for them to renew their bond like this. It makes him so happy they are doing this together and he will never give her another reason to doubt.
After they talk about celebrating, he puts his funds into their joint-account. She watches that carefully and then tells him she has to stay there to meet with the lawyer while he meets the owner of the building.
Once he leaves, she opens up her tablet to finish a banking transaction. Taking a deep breath, she hesitates but completes the transfer. She calls for a jet and starts packing her bag as Locke returns.

Y&R opinion: Victor pits his kids against each other
Sally walks into Society and begins to banter with Chloe. Chelsea is late for her meeting so she invites her to sit down. She congratulates her on her new gig at Newman Media. She was surprised to hear about the move away from fashion.
Sally says she’s found a new calling. Chloe feels like she could use one of those too. She and Chelsea are having trouble finding their rhythm. It’s all so frustrating for Chloe. Lauren in great and the situation is perfect… but there are challenges.
Sally guesses the challenge is named Chelsea. Claiming she’d like them all to be friends, she admits she was shocked when she saw them fighting the other day.
Chloe explains her friend was hit hard by Rey’s death. Since then, she has been scattered and contentious. Sally reminds her that her friend has a long history of “struggles” and tends to burn bridges.
Chloe keeps rationalizing her friend’s behavior. The redhead gets it but it’s not fair to her and Chelsea clearly doesn’t appreciate what a good friend she is. She’s screwed up good things herself, but she knows it’s a losing proposition to try and fix someone.
After wishing her the best, Sally takes off.
Chelsea strolls into Adam’s office. She admits that she’s having some challenges with Chloe and then congratulates him on getting his dream job. He’s happy but he’s concerned about her and asks if everything is alright.
As she sits down, she complains about what a micromanager Chloe is. It’s not working. She needs joy and fun, not efficiency. Things were fun in the past and they had good chemistry.
He notes they’ve been partners in crime and bitter rivals. She tries talking about him instead. He’s more concerned about her being on the verge of blowing up her career. Maybe she needs to suck it up and deal with it.
Chelsea tells him about the job offer that Kyle and Summer gave her. Adam congratulates her. She says she’ll have to do it without Chloe and is sure she can handle it.
He’s not convinced she can and suggests she’s latching onto something to fill a void. It seems like she’s backsliding. She gets defensive but he insists she hasn’t been herself since Rey died. What she’s doing is not sustainable.
Adam goes to visit Sally in her office. He’s had flowers delivered with a little card telling her to kick ass and the best is yet to come. That makes her smile. They agree to always have each other’s backs and she likes he signed with the L word.
He tells her that he has a problem. He has to move fast to prove he is indispensable. There are some parts of the company he can shore up and wants to open some stores under their brand.
She says that sounds like an idea his father would have. If he wants to make a splash, he needs to do something more surprising to prove he’s the real deal. He finds all this business talk sexy and kisses her.
Sally is confident that he will come up with something spectacular. She adds that she has an idea for her COO: Chloe. He’s not sure that would work. Sally explains that her partnership with Chelsea is on its last leg. Adam points out that she hates him.
Chelsea arrives at Society for her meeting with Chloe, who has been waiting without any messages regarding her delay. Things are tense. Chloe lectures her for being inconsiderate and declares this isn’t working.
