In the previous episode, Victor paid off Gaines. In this episode, Victoria’s invitation goes out to Adam, surprising him, Phyllis kicks Sally out of the hotel, and Moses helps Faith.

From Grand Phoenix, Phyllis texts Nick for news on the real Ashland. Jack startles her. She wanted to discuss his conversation with Nick about his feelings. They both felt awkward keeping it from him. Phyllis asks why he revealed his feelings to Nick. He explains that he had a dream and he felt guilty about telling her how he felt and the impact it’d make on her relationship with Nick. “You’re a good man,” she says. Jack considers Nick a friend. He didn’t want to feel ashamed but says it doesn’t change anything in the present. He didn’t want it to get in the way. Phyllis says Nick’s fine with it and is out of town, trying to do something for Victoria. He may have to meet them in Milan. She shares that he’s in New Jersey so it’ll just be them flying alone. Is she comfortable with that? She’d love to share a flight with him. Victoria stops by and asks if Phyllis has heard from Nick. Jack goes and Victoria says she heard her brother took the jet to Jersey. She asks why. Phyllis calls it New Hope business. Victoria reminds her Ashland got his start there and asks outright if this has to do with him. Phyllis uses redirection to get out of answering.
Sally sketches and smiles to herself at Crimson Lights. “This wedding dress is going to be spectacular.” Nearby, Faith is on a call with her mother, apologizing for not getting her homework done. She won’t go anywhere until it’s done. She checks her phone calendar. Tonight’s her date with Moses. She looks from her phone to her books and seems torn.

From his office, Adam gets an invitation to Victoria and Ashland’s wedding, which obviously surprises him.
Moses helps Amanda get her luggage into Devon’s place and toddler off to Crimson Lights to meet Faith. Devon appears. She thought he’d be tied up with work all day. He rearranged his whole schedule for her move, he admits. She’s touched. “I brought some things,” she says, motioning to her many bags. He laughs since there are so many of them. She tells him Moses helped her with them and went to meet Faith. Devon wants her to think of his place as hers. Later, once she’s unpacked, she tells Devon she wants to do one of her favorite things — hang out with him. They discuss Dom and how hard it is for him to not call him his son. Talk quickly turns to his concern for Mariah getting overly attached. They are glad she moved out of the mansion. He asks after her business. She shares that Naya’s settled with the right doctors and it feels good to have a sister to share anxieties with. They soon start giving each other the eye and she thinks she knows what he’s thinking. “It’s pretty decadent for the middle of the afternoon,” she says with a grin.
Moses turns up at Crimson Lights. Faith blurts that she can’t go out. She lies that she has to work for her mom. Moses offers to tell her how important it is but she thinks it’ll make her feel guilty. Moses realizes she’s lying and questions her. She apologizes. She’d love to go but she’s embarrassed that she’s fallen behind on her school work. Moses asks how behind. “Really behind,” she says with a cringe. She’s been procrastinating. She feels terrible. Moses blames himself for keeping her from her work. Unfortunately, Faith tells him her mama thinks so too. Moses offers to transcribe her work for her. “That wouldn’t be cheating, it’d be helping,” they agree. She reads the work to him and he types it up. They banter while they work and her homework seems to dwindle down. Jack walks in and sees Adam. They discuss Victoria’s wedding and Adam’s invitation. Adam thinks it’s a mistake. Jack thinks it’s possible that Victoria has moved on. Adam’s unsure he can go. Connor’s just gotten acclimated to his new school. Later, Faith and Moses finish her work.

Lauren shows up with an assistant at Grand Phoenix and Victoria’s wedding gown. Phyllis hands over Victoria’s key card so she can go try it on. She offers another set of eyes but Victoria reminds her she hasn’t exactly achieved maid-of-honor status. They go upstairs and Sally tries to follow but Phyllis reminds her she’s not welcomed there. Phyllis threatens, “Don’t make me get security to throw you out.” Sally records Phyllis until Chloe appears. They have a business proposal for her. Phyllis has nothing on her calendar. Besides, she wouldn’t do business with the woman who ran her kid out of town. Sally reminds Phyllis that her daughter seems to love Milan. Chloe stops things before they escalate. She talks about their business idea, which Phyllis likes. “Fire her, and I’ll do it.”
Upstairs, Victoria tries on her dress and she’s less than thrilled. She forgot her shoes so they can’t hem it. Victoria apologizes. She’s putting high standards on people because her expectations for her wedding are high. She wants it to be spectacular. Lauren says not to worry. There’s time to fix it. Downstairs, Chloe tries to get Sally to quiet down. Sally tells her about the woman holding the garment bag. She assumes it’s her wedding gown. Chloe asks if she offered Victoria to make her dress. Sally tried but her assistant wouldn’t let her call go through. She’s not giving up. Chloe reminds her that her tainted reputation will take time to repair. Sally thinks she can offer this dress as a gift that will have everyone talking. Chloe doesn’t think insinuating herself into Victoria’s wedding plans will work for her. It could blow up in her face.
Adam appears at Victoria’s office to discuss her wedding invitation. He assumes it was a mistake but she says it wasn’t. She did it for their dad. They discuss how nothing would make Victor happier than having his entire family at the wedding. Besides, Ashland respects Adam, despite most of the world despising him. Adam says, “Thank you?” He asks if she genuinely wants him there. She tells him not to push it. She doesn’t want that. Adam says he’ll be there.
At work, Sally finally shows Chloe the wedding gown she designed for Victoria. Chloe thinks she should save it for someone else but Sally knows this is meant for Victoria. Chloe admits Victoria will fall in love with it. Chloe thinks they should think about a fashion line. “The next step in our path to world domination.” Adam appears. “What are you two plotting?” Chloe shares that Sally’s going to a meeting. Adam tells her to knock them dead. Sally asks if he’s headed to Tuscany for his sister’s wedding. She knows they don’t get along. Adam says they don’t but he’s going. He asks what her angle is and reveals he’s not looking for a date. She finds that presumptuous and she tells him if he wants her to go, she’s in, as a co-worker.
At Society, Sally calls someone to ask how fast it’d take to get a wedding gown made. She grins to herself at their response.
At home, Jack tells someone on a call that there should be just him and Phyllis Summers on the plane.
From the hotel, Phyllis is shocked that Nick let her message go to email. She gets a text from him telling her he doesn’t like what he found.
At work, Victoria gets a text from Ashland who explains he won’t be dining with her. Something came up.
