In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Dominic is already doing well, Ashland manipulates Victoria, Adam has a change of heart, and Jack gets awful news that Keemo died. In the previous episode, Michael got proof Ashland faked his illness and Billy went on the attack with Ashland.

In the hotel suite at Grand Phoenix, Sally asks if Adam has decided to leave Newman Media altogether. Adam reminds her of their pillow talk. He says she proved her great instincts to him.
He thinks that they want to make him fail and he plans on telling his dad he’ll stay on and keep an eye on Ashland for his own sake.
Phyllis visits Jack at home to see how he’s doing. He’s been looking through the last emails from Keemo. She offers to help find out who is sending the texts or to listen.
Jack reads one of his emails where he tells Jack to leave him the heck alone.
Phyllis wonders if Keemo is sending the texts to reconnect. Jack’s afraid to hope that it’s what’s going on. They both jump on their computers and Jack finds an obituary. Is Hao Nguyen his son?
Phyllis says not to jump to conclusions. It’s a generic name. The date of birth is the same year he was born. It says he died three weeks ago in L.A. Jack thinks this is why someone reached out to him.
Phyllis keeps digging. She finds a memorial site with Keemo’s photo. “Oh my God,” Jack says. “My son is dead.”
It’s morning at the Chancellor mansion. The nurse said Dominic slept peacefully. The first few days are the hardest. Abby’s glad that he was able to go through this in the comfort of his own home.
Devon’s glad that they were able to use the right air filters and to hire the nurse. Chance takes Devon aside and offers to cover the cost of the medical transport when he takes the baby to his house.
Devon appreciates it but he doesn’t have to. Chance says they’re in this together. He’s grateful for Devon. Nate and Dr. Elliston arrive.
They head up to the nursery to examine the baby. Chance talks to Abby about getting counselling. He prays their son is okay. The doctors return and tell the parents that the child will make it through this ordeal just fine.
Everyone embraces, relieved. They need to be careful that he doesn’t get infected. Nate tells them to limit their visits. Abby goes first.

In Adam’s office, Victoria tells Victor all about Billy and Ashland’s discussion yesterday. She tells her dad that she signed off on Adam hiring Sally, which is a questionable decision.
Victor doesn’t get why she’s against Adam. He reminds her that Adam helped her and her husband have a great wedding in Tuscany.
She doesn’t think it justifies anything. He did it to prove his loyalty to Victor. She goes and Nikki appears.He tells her he dug into Victor’s life again. Nikki’s exasperated.
He shares that Michael Baldwin sent him the interview with the Peruvian doctor who testified that Ashland paid a lot of money to have his medical file falsified.
He never had cancer to begin with. Nikki’s shocked.
She watches the interview and says it seems far-fetched. Maybe he just wants attention or money or both. Victor says Michael is still investigating. Nikki doesn’t get why he’d bother faking.
Victor will find out. Adam turns up. Victor is good with that. He wants to protect the family and bring them together. He apologizes for declining his offer to spy. He’ll do it for himself.
Victor says he no longer needs to do that. He alludes to something going on at Newman Locke. He has more reason to believe that he’s right and he can count on Adam. He says all hell is about to break loose.
In Victoria’s office at Newman enterprises, Ashland is on a call, yelling at someone to find that doctor. He yells, “How could you let this happen?” Victoria wanders in and questions him.
He lies that it’s an issue with the content in the contracts. Victoria likes to know about these things but he downplays it.
She seems upset and he offers to show her the language in the agreement. She denies it. She just wanted him to let her know. She came to get her tablet for the marketing team merger meeting.
Ashland asks her to wait. They need to address something. He talks about being unable to be a real partner to her there at Newman but because of the treatment, he feels stronger.
He wants to immerse himself. He’s trying to make more of a contribution They’re both used to being heads of their own operations and says they’re working as equals. He doesn’t want to be an advisor anymore.
Victoria reminds him they’re both running the company. Does his title matter? He insists it does because he’s been given a hard time about making changes to relatively small things.
He lies that the legal department gave him grief. She offers to talk to them for him and he refuses to allow it.
He needs respect, and it’ll send a message that he’s not a sickly man on his way out. She thinks he’s making a mountain out of a molehill. Ash thinks he lost his cutthroat reputation and proposes he is named Co-CEO.
She balks at that. She asks what her issue is. She’s hesitant that it could worsen his condition. He knows his health has been a concern for her. He’s optimistic but says he doesn’t believe he’s been magically cured.
He feels better than he has in a while and wants to live to the fullest extent. She just wants him to stay healthy. He puts on an act that he’s overcome with emotion as he tells her he feels more in control.
Her dad put it into her head that Ashland could be some threat to her. She does want to be partners with him in every way possible. “Let’s do this.”
She’ll have contracts drawn up. He puts a hand to his mouth and thinks this is the beginning of something exciting. They embrace.
Devon and Amanda see Elena and Nate at Crimson Lights. They talk about how Dominic is doing fine now. Elena thinks the kid must feel nothing but love. Devon says it’s nice having a doctor in the family. Nate admits he’s making a life and career change.
He tells them he’s leaving medicine and going into the business world. They’re shocked. Nearby, Sharon gets a call from Chance, who asks if they can meet today to discuss getting a therapist.
She heard he had a few rough days and asks if today is the right timing. He insists he needs it. He tells them all about Ashland’s offer. Elena’s happy for him and supports him. So does Devon but he’s surprised he doesn’t want to work at Hamilton Winters.
Sharon arrives at Abby’s and shows Chance a list of therapists. She talks about it being a sign of strength that he wants to move forward with this. Abby’s grateful. She wishes them luck and takes off.
Chance calls someone on the list and makes an appointment for as soon as possible.
