Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for Thursday, February 3, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Friday, February 4. (Recaps live by 5:45 PM EST daily.)
In the previous episode, Adam came to Sally’s rescue with Chelsea. In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Dominic seems to have breathing issues, while Tessa and Mariah have their engagement party.
At Crimson Lights, Noah and Faith are getting ready for the engagement party and discuss how good of a job he did with the album cover and how romantic it all is. Noah doesn’t appear to be happy. Moses appears.
He talks about a book series he’s into to before Nick drags Eeyore Noah off to get things finished. Faith introduces Tessa and Mariah to their exotic engagement party. They love it and Mariah calls it almost as beautiful as Tessa.
They kiss and family claps at the happy couple. Rey gets the couple champagne while Sharon gives sparkling apple cider to Faith and Moses. Moses and Faith talk about the area they’ve set up to get photos of the family.
They ask Noah to take photos but he refuses so Nick will do it. “You think you can keep your fingers out of the frame?” Faith asks.
Nick thinks if she can do better, she should. They delight in teasing him and Tessa and Mariah get photos taken with props. They find a gift and ponder what it is.
Nick thinks it’s a charcuterie board and everyone glances at him. Sharon thinks a nice throw would be lovely. Rey suggests they read the card. It’s from Kevin and Chloe, who apologize for being unable to come by breaking the no presents rule.
They call it “the most Kevin gift” ever. It’s a shield from The Kingdom Beyond, her and Kevin’s favorite book series. Everyone laughs. Tessa loves it. Mariah kisses her bride-to-be.
At home, Abby and Chance are all dolled up for the party tonight. She’s nervous about everyone having comments and questions about the custody agreement. Chance will do what he can to respond.
Abby stares at the baby and knows he’ll have a great time with Nanny Louise. She notices that the baby is breathing faster than usual. Chance takes a look. He seems fine. He gets the baby to sleep.
They watch over the boy a while and then decide to go since he’s sleeping soundly. Chance feels pretty proud that he got the baby to sleep for the first time. He grins.
At the condo, Devon tells Amanda he doesn’t think it’ll be awkward to see Abby. Amanda offers to answer any questions but he doesn’t want the spotlight on him. He thanks her for being so level-headed during all of this and for taking care of Dom.
He saw the way she was looking at him when she thought he was asleep. She’s never been that close to a baby before.
She smiles. He’s a little miracle, so smart and she thinks he likes her. Devon knows she’s right. Amanda says the way he looks at Devon is amazing. She loves it.
She imagines what he’ll be like when he grows up and then asks if it’s okay that she thinks that way. “It’s more than okay,” Devon says.

Amanda and Devon arrive at Crimson Lights to see the shield. Rey opens champagne and Devon says they’re glowing. Tessa says they’ve never been happier. She puts an arm around Mariah, who asks how the shared custody agreement is going. They admit it’s going fine and learn that Tessa and Mariah are looking to adopt.
They’re thrilled and can’t wait for play dates. Devon offers to have them visit when they have Dominic. Mariah asks if Chance and Abby are coming. Rey says he’s heard from them and knows Chance wants to go back to work.
Outside, Nick talks about Faith’s business degree. Noah’s impressed and says they better tell Victoria to watch her back since there’s a new mogul in training. They laugh.
Abby and Chance show up and the happy couple greets them. She’s sorry they’re late. She couldn’t stay away from Dom. Devon wanders over. He understands.
Mariah brings up the agreement to Abby and she’s not comfortable talking about it. Mariah knows the bumps along the way made their bond stronger. They’ll always have a connection. They all hold hands.
Later, everyone takes photos but Noah refuses and wanders away, making Nick look at him with concern. Sharon talks to Abby about Chance getting therapy. She admits he won’t do it but that things are getting better. She goes to her husband and talks about him going back to work tomorrow.
Nearby, everyone writes something nice on the big card for the loving couple and Noah doesn’t write anything. Mariah goes to him and asks him to draw something if he can’t think of anything to say. He says, “I know Tessa said some insanity about me still having feelings for her, but I wanted you to know there’s nothing to worry about.”
He asks her not to hate him. Mariah’s not upset with him. She’s upset with herself. She hasn’t forgotten how she and Tessa got together while they were a couple.
He says he wants to move on. She’s worried about him. He claims he’s okay. He wants them to be happy forever.
Nick finds Abby and asks how she’s doing about the shared custody. Abby talks positively about it. He says if she needs anything, he’s there. They hug and she writes some sweet words on the card.
Sharon says a toast to celebrate the happy couple and the music inspired by their love. They play a song. Mariah hears music each time she looks at Tessa.
Tessa smiles and kisses Mariah and says, “Marry me?” Noah looks at the bottom of his glass while everyone else starts dancing. The song is beautiful and everyone claps after. Devon knows it’ll be a hit.
Noah wants to say a few words. Sharon tries to get him to wait but he talks about Tessa’s voice being the most beautiful think he’s heard.
He’s glad she found someone so special to share her love with. He praises their love and life and thinks they should all be happy. They toast to the couple.
“Made for each other and proof that dreams do come true,” he says. Abby tells him that was lovely and that they need to find someone for him. Mariah thanks her brother and for everyone for being there for them tonight.
Abby and Chance leave early and Tessa remarks that it’ll be them one day, running home to their little one.
Nearby, Noah draws a big heart on the card and Tessa looks on, concerned for him. Later, another song of Tessa’s plays as Mariah asks her bride-to-be to dance. Noah stares at them as Tessa thinks they’re dancing on clouds.
Sharon wonders to Nick if it was a bad idea to put Noah through this. Nick decides to get him out of there. He invites his son to a movie. Noah stares at the bride and bride before he goes.
Chance and Abby arrive home and Nanny Louise says Dom’s been sleeping since they left. They go to his bassinet and notice he isn’t waking up when they say his name. Abby becomes very worried.

Spoilers: Adam says, “I want you as much as you want me…” Sally laughs, “Oh my God.” Adam continues and says, “But…”
Lily says she saw this coming and thinks she knows what it is.
Devon asks Abby what the doctor said. Chance relays that the physical tests came back normal but she wants to take blood tests to be sure.”
