This is the Y&R day ahead recap from the Friday, April 9, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Monday, April 12. On today’s episode, Faith is discharged, Rey doesn’t believe Sharon, and Victor shuts Amanda down.
At her house, Nick tries to get Chelsea talking after she says, “Sharon knows.” Chloe tells Nick that Chelsea hasn’t spoken in months until now. She suggests Nick ask Sharon what she knows. Instead, Nick calls Nate.

At home, Rey is angry that Sharon’s been lying to him. He doesn’t believe that Chelsea’s the one who poisoned him. Sharon will tell Rey where Adam is if he agrees to listen to what she has to say. She tells Rey that Chelsea is a con artist. She started to get better and then set Adam up to make it look like he tried to kill Rey. He asks for proof. Sharon tells him about the fake text messages from Adam. Rey’s not happy about that but Sharon explains that Chelsea sent them. Adam thought he was hacked. Rey yells that this is impossible for a stroke patient. Sharon says Chloe helped. She hates Adam. Sharon reveals she saw Chelsea but she didn’t give her a reaction she was hoping for, but Adam saw Chelsea smiling when he wasn’t looking. Rey still finds this a stretch. Rey says if she believes this, “It really says a lot.” He asks what her motive is. Sharon says it’s revenge against her because she, like Rey believes that Adam and Sharon can’t let each other go. Sharon asks Rey not to let Adam cloud her judgment. He asks the same of her. Still, he doesn’t believe her and asks where Adam is. She says he’s in a house on a lake he used to own. He wants the address. Sharon gets a text from Nick. Faith is being released so Rey will have to go alone to get Adam. She texts him the address and tells her husband to be careful. Once he’s gone, she considers texting Adam.

At Crimson Lights, Moses has extra whipped cream on his cocoa. He asks Nate if he can hitch a ride to the hospital with him. It’ll be his last chance to get a shift in without school distractions. Elena arrives and Nate introduces Moses as his cousin. She welcomes him and gives Nate a glowing report on a doctor and a man. She heads back to the hospital and Moses thinks Nate should ask her out. “She’s funny, super cute, and seems like she’s totally into you.” Nate sighs. They dated and it didn’t work out. Nate gets a call from Nick about Chelsea. He can’t take him with him so Moses stays behind.

Amanda finds Victor at Society. She sits with him and asks about Richard Nealand who worked for Newman thirty years ago. He died in a car accident shortly after he worked at Newman. She tells him she’s working on Sutton’s case. Victor thinks she’s accusing someone at Newman of bribery, possibly of murder. She says a reporter named Bruce Stansfield dug up some about the case. Victor remembers Bruce. He spoke to him then and didn’t know anything about the case. He doesn’t know anything and shuts her down fast. She’s intimidated. She is only trying to do her job. He leaves as Devon appears. He offers to talk about the exchange. She wants to go to his place.

Nikki visits Faith (played by Reylynn Caster) at the hospital. Faith is antsy and bored. She’s ready to leave soon. Nick arrives and Christine turns up as her lawyer advocate. Christine says they’re all on her side and want her comfort. Sharon arrives. Faith’s afraid to go to court but happy to have Christine with her. She plans on paying for what she did. Christine takes Faith to the desk and Nick and Sharon clean the room with Nick staring at Sharon.
Nate visits Chelsea and learns Meredith quit. Chloe tells him that Chelsea said her first two words. Chelsea fakes trying to struggle to talk. Nick gets a call from Nikki who tells him to come to the hospital. Faith’s almost ready to go home. Nate examines her and thinks they can be cautiously optimistic. Chelsea talks again. “I need Detective Rosales.” Once Nate’s gone, Chelsea wanders and excitedly talks about the risk she just took. She thinks they’re in the home stretch but Chloe looks nervous.

At Devon’s, Amanda shares her excitement over the case with her grandfather but tells him how Victor didn’t like her questioning him about it. Devon is inspired. He hopes she remembers to eat when she’s in those case files. Moses arrives and Amanda leaves. Devon walks her out and she says being with him reminded her of what they had. He hopes they’re through the rough patch and can get back to where they were. “We’ll see,” she says. She has to focus on the case for now. Once she’s gone, Moses plays matchmaker. He brings up Faith. He’s interested in her. Devon teases him.
Nick and Sharon take Faith home. Nick tells her to get some rest. Tomorrow will not be easy. They talk about what she did at length and about rehab. She wants life to get back to normal soon. Sharon assures her it will. Faith goes to sleep but not before apologizing repeatedly. Once she’s gone, Nick reveals Chelsea spoke two words. “Sharon knows.” Sharon feels validated. She tells Nick she knows where Adam is hiding and Rey’s headed there now, but that Adam is innocent and Chelsea is the culprit. Nick doesn’t believe it until Sharon explains she’s faking her paralysis. Nick thinks he’s playing her but she really listened to him. She admits Rey has already arrested him probably. Nick learns where he is and goes to watch Rey get the cuffs on his brother. Once he’s gone, Nikki appears.
Rey arrives at the lake and opens Adam’s door with his gun. He yells for Adam but the room is empty. Nick arrives and learns Adam’s gone. Nick tells him that Chelsea is suddenly talking. Rey finds that interesting. He assumes Sharon warned Adam which is why he took off.
Amanda arrives home and opens the case file. She sees a photo of her dad and cries.
Nate and Elena run into each other at Crimson Lights. She teases him for being there more than her and she lives upstairs. Nate invites her to hang out.
