Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for Monday, November 29, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Tuesday, November 30. (Recaps live by 5:45 PM EST daily.) In the previous episode, Chance refused to go home with Abby to Genoa City. In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Adam goes to Victor, angered over feeling double crossed, while Ashley and Abby are reunited, and Chance yells for Abby to go home without him.
Nikki and Victor look dejected at the ranch as they wonder where Abby is. A call comes in and Victor ignores it. Abby’s the only one on his mind.
In Majorca Spain, Chance tells Abby he has to finish this mission. Abby says, “No.” He has to track these guys down and bring them to justice. “They deserve nothing less.” Abby gets why he feels so strongly about this. His sense of loyalty and duty are why she fell for him. Chance repeats himself. “I have to see this through.”
Abby doesn’t think the way to do this is by putting his life in jeopardy again. Chance insists he has to stay. “It’s almost as if you don’t wanna come home,” she says. He disagrees. He can’t erase what happened to his team from his mind or the guilt for surviving when the others didn’t. Abby thinks he’s survived for a reason.
His son, “Be a hero to Dominic,” he says. Chance tells her that’s what he told himself to make it out of there alive. He doesn’t think she can understand but she has. She rants that she’s been mourning him. “I was trained to complete my missions no matter what, Abby.” She reminds him he’s wounded. It’s a matter of time until he’s healed. Abby yells that he can give a description of the guys to his section chief. She hollers to let them catch the target.
Chance is torn between his duty to see this through and his love for her. How is he supposed to choose? He goes off somewhere and Abby calls Ashley to tell her she’s in Spain and that she’s sorry for leaving without telling her. She learns her mama’s in Spain and Ashley says she’ll come to her. “No judgment.” Abby asks her to come alone. Abby sends her coordinates, while on the jet, Ashley tells Jack she found Abby! “Go tell the pilot. We’re going to Majorca!”
At home, Billy asks what she’ll say about him if a reporter talks to her. Lily takes a sip of tea and says she’ll tell him she loves him, they’re partners and she believes in second chances. Jill arrives and Billy and Lily embrace her. Lily’s sorry about Chance.
Jill tells her son that Billy called her. He was too busy ruining her media company to consider what happened with Chance. Jill rants about what happened. She thought he had their company’s best interests at heart. Jill says if that’s true, “God help us all.” Billy says there’s no excuses for his screw up.
He regrets it but if Ashland drops the lawsuit, they can salvage this. Lily isn’t so sure and Jill sides with her. Billy should step down and let Lily run it the way it should be run. She hates for it to be sold to Victoria and Ashland. She asks Billy to leave the room while they chat but Lily balks.
Billy says he’s been kicked out of worse places. He takes off. The women discuss Billy’s mess making. Jill tears up as she tells Lily that she never expected to lose Chance and it put things into perspective. It made her realize it’s time for a change. She’s stepping down from running the show and will be and advisor. “Wow, that’s huge,” Lily says, shocked. Jill asks her to take over as head of Chancellor Industries. Lily’s eyes widen.

At Society, Adam gets on a call and asks if someone is sure of that. He listens and says he’ll tell them. At a table, Victoria can’t get off her phone. Ashland comments and she tells him she’s curious if her father has texted about the search for Abby. They ponder how her dad and brother will react if Billy and Jill take their offer. Victoria wants to tell them but Ash doesn’t want to rock the boat if their offer gets rejected. Adam appears near their table. She can see he already heard the news.
He asks what they’re dining on and hears it’s the catch of the day. “What is the catch of the day? ChancComm?” Victoria realizes she needs to refresh the staff of their NDAs. Adam angrily tells Ash that they trusted him and covered for him, treated him like family. Why did he go behind their backs? He asks if Ashland has been playing them all along. “How dare you,” Victoria says. Ashland says it’s business.
If they made Billy an offer, it was because they realized it was best for their company. He held up his end of the bargain and now, ChancComm is fair game. Adam thinks it was Victoria’s idea. Victoria drinks and tells him to have a nice day.
At the ranch, Victor takes Ashley’s call and is told that Abby’s been found and they’re on their way to her. Victor asks them to convey how much he loves her. They disconnect and Nikki’s relieved. Victor’s so happy to hear this, but he’s concerned Ashley may not be able to get Abby to come home.
Adam turns up, pissed. He tells Victor, “I just ran into Victoria and Ashland and you’re not going to believe what they’ve done.” He explains that they double crossed them. He assumes Nikki knew. “Whether I did or not it’s none of your business,” she snaps. He apologizes. It frustrates him. She can understand that.
Adam says they need a counter attack. Victor shrugs and Adam asks why he isn’t angry. Vic hopes it’s Victoria’s idea and he’s concerned she did this for Billy or that she’s trying to correct a mistake by selling the media division. Adam’s angry that they can’t trust them but Victor reminds him they can’t trust anyone in business.
Billy sits alone, on edge at Grand Phoenix. Phyllis asks what he’s doing there. He says it’s as lounge. “I’m lounging.” She counters, “Well, you’re taking up space.” He reveals he was booted out so Jill and Lily could talk. Phyllis laughs. “That’s bad,” she says. She sits and tells him about her dream and how wise he was.
Billy lets her know that he screwed up but was trying to protect those around them. Phyllis knows he’s just feeling sorry for himself. “From one screw up to another, you know it’s going to be okay,” she says. He goes and Jack calls Phyllis. He updates her with finding Abby and asks her out when he gets home. She’s glad Abby’s coming home safe.
Ashley arrives at Kim’s in Majorca and hugs Abby. They cry and Ash reveals how worried everyone was. Abby’s sorry. She didn’t want them to know she was looking for Chance. She found him. “He’s asleep in the bedroom.” Ashley is shocked. She can’t wait to tell Nina and Jack and…she trails off and Abby says he’s okay but emotionally, he’s struggling. Ash says they’ll get him the best care but Abby says he doesn’t want to come home. She says she knew who he was when they married and she loves his loyalty but he insists on staying and completing the mission. Chance comes out of his bedroom and asks, “Abby, what have you done?”
Abby explains that she didn’t know her mother followed her to Spain. Chance yells about his cover getting blown. Ashley promises she’d never hurt his mission. She’s there to support them. He apologizes but he’s not going home. He tells his wife to go home and play the grieving widow for a little longer.
They can’t tell anyone he’s alive. “I’m not leaving you,” Abby says. He tells her it’s too dangerous. She lets him know that she swore she’d never leave his side if he was alive. He tells her she has to get back to Dominic. “We both do,” she retorts. “It’s time for you to meet your son.” She tries to get him to come home by showing him his kid. She thinks Dominic’s the reason he is alive.
Billy arrives at Society. He tells Ashland and Victoria that Jill’s back and talking to Lily alone. They discuss what happened and Victoria’s sorry. Billy doubts that. Ashland reminds Billy he put this on himself.
