Canadian Y&R day ahead recap from the Thursday, April 29, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Friday, April 30. Monday’s episode had Faith needs a new kidney. On today’s episode, Devon and Amanda have sex, Summer and Kyle have sex, and Faith has a rare blood type and only Adam can donate a kidney.
Amanda covers her body with the sheet in bed as Devon pulls his pants on nearby. He wants to take her out to listen to jazz music. She likes the idea but is busy. Devon sings her praises, taking on this criminal case. “You never have to feel lonely again as long as you have me,” he tells her. They dress and Imani shows up since her sister didn’t text her back. Amanda finds it rude of her to show up this way. She introduces Devon as her friend. “The Devon Hamilton of Hamilton/Winters,” she says. Imani wants to talk privately but they can trust Devon. Devon agrees, he’ll keep his mouth shut, but he thinks she should be grateful that Amanda’s even speaking to her since she put out a restraining order against her. Imani defends herself and Devon goes. “I’m not intimidated by you,” Amanda says. Imani is positive her sister doesn’t know what she’s walking into. She’ll always be the family shame, the bastard child. Sutton looks out for number one and is still the same person he was back then, while their mother will do anything to avoid upsetting Sutton. He’s the last person you ever cross. Amanda is shocked. Why would she say that? She asks if Sutton is guilty of murdering her father. She denies that. She tells her she doesn’t belong to their family, which makes Amanda wonder what she’s afraid to lose. If it’s not her mother’s love, what is it? Sutton? She thinks she’s vying for her sister’s attention but Imani is trying to save her from embarrassment and humiliation. She urges Amanda to drop the case and move on.
Nick watches from the door as Sharon urges Faith to sleep since she can barely keep her eyes open. She closes her eyes and Nick knocks on the door. Sharon leaves and Nick tells Sharon the news about how her immune system is attacking her kidneys from infection. They’ll give her drugs but she could be on dialysis for the rest of her life. Sharon covers her mouth and cries. The other option is a kidney transplant, from a live donor, a member from their family with the same blood type. Sharon sobs. Faith has a rare blood type. Neither are compatible, so they need to reach out to the family. Later, they have filled Nikki in and when Victor turns up, they ask if he’s a match for his granddaughter’s blood type. He’s not but Adam is. When Adam was shot, he learned his blood type. Nick grumps that his brother is on the run. Sharon blames Chelsea and Nick gripes. Victor thinks Sharon can help since Adam called her yesterday. Nick asks his parents for time alone and when they leave, he asks Sharon to come clean. Sharon admits he called today to apologizes and has no intentions of returning. He did ask to be able to reach out, but he’s using burner phones. Sharon shows Nick the number and he calls, while Sharon goes back to Faith, who has woken up. Sharon yaks at her about how much fun they’ll have playing board games and Nick telling her Dad jokes. She should take advantage of the quiet and go back to sleep. Faith rests and Sharon thinks of Adam’s last call about “being home, yet somewhere new.” She goes to Nikki, thinking she knows where Adam is.

Summer arrives at her suite and finds Kyle relaxing on the sofa, smiling. Later, she’s upset to learn about Faith and that she’s not a match for a transplant. Kyle comforts her and takes her mind off of it with champagne. Talk turns to Tara and her son and his concerns that Summer would think they’d make her insecure. She admits she had some uncertainty but that’s gone. They kiss and make out and he picks her up and carries her to the bed. They remove their clothes and make out, passionately. After sex, Faith asks Kyle to shower. He refuses and she leaves. Tara appears as he’s dragging on some pants and a shirt. She didn’t want to leave things unsaid and undone. Tara walks in and can see she’s interrupted. She needs to pack. She’s chartered a private medical jet to take them back to New York, but she feels bad about how they left things. She thought they deserved a proper goodbye. She texts him a real photo of Harrison. He looks at it and grins, thinking he’s the cutest thing he’s ever seen in his life. “He’s my world,” Tara says. He thanks her and she smiles, then takes off. Summer reappears and hears what happened while she was showering. She learns he forgot to order dinner so she takes off to do that.
At the ranch, Nick and Victor talk about how Adam has Faith’s blood type and that they need him. Sharon calls and the investigator appears. Nick puts her on speaker and she tells them her thoughts on Adam going home but someplace new. Near the farm in Kansas? Someplace he can make peace with his past. AJ’s dead and his daughter is in prison. Adam’s probably there, Victor suggests since he knows the ranch hands were let go.

Back at the hospital, Sharon talks with Nate and learns Faith’s kidney levels are elevated. She’s upset that there aren’t many options and cries. Nate’s sorry. He goes and Nikki appears. She cries to Nikki and Nikki asks her to go get some air. Later, Nick holds Faith’s hand and they chat about how he has to leave to find someone who is going to help her. He leaves and finds Sharon has returned. He’s going to Kansas to search for Adam. She wants to go but Nick knows Faith will panic if Sharon’s gone.
