This is the Canadian Y&R day ahead recap from the Friday, May 7, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Monday, May 10. Yesterday’s episode had Adam revealing himself to Rey and in today’s episode, Faith and Adam are a match, Victor tries to get Chelsea to confess, and Amanda is on to her sister.
At Sharon’s, Adam tells Rey that Chelsea poisoned him out of jealousy. He owes him an apology for kissing Sharon. Nick interjects. There is no time for this. Adam needs to get tested to see if he’s a match for Faith, to donate a kidney. Adam tells Rey that Sharon wants to be with Rey, not him. Rey snipes that as soon as the surgery is over, he’s arresting him for attempted murder. Adam didn’t expect anything else.
At her place, Amanda thanks Sutton for inviting her to lunch this weekend. He hopes she understands why he tabled the conversation about his case while she was there. He wanted her to feel accepted as his granddaughter. She felt accepted, she admits. She found his house charming and loved to see his photo albums. He brought her some copies. She’s thrilled to see them. Eric enjoyed meeting her but he’s sorry Imani didn’t appear. Amanda assumes she’s having issues with another daughter. Sutton needs her to come around. Later, she tells him Michael Baldwin will accept if he pleads guilty to second-degree homicide with a sentence of 20 years. Sutton argues that it’s a life sentence. They agreed to cut it in half for good behavior but Sutton says even if he was guilty, he wouldn’t take it. Amanda’s confident they can talk them down to a lesser charge but Sutton refuses to plead guilty to any charge. She tells him they need to evaluate the prosecution’s evidence. As they talk, Sutton again tells her that this is happening to prevent him from running in the next election. Naya didn’t want Richard to know that she was pregnant and neither did Sutton. Maybe Richard was threatening to expose what he found out. Sutton gets angrier as the talk goes on and she agrees to talk to Naya about it. Sutton takes off.
Moses goes home during lunch to see Devon. Devon is immediately on edge. Moses wants to skip class to be there for Faith after her operation. Devon calls the school to tell them Moses is leaving early. Moses will do his homework while Faith sleeps. Devon asks if they’re dating and Moses says he sounds like his mom. Devon laughs.

At the hospital, Sharon tells Faith she doesn’t need to worry. Adam won’t back out of surgery. She spoke with him and with Rey and he won’t arrest Adam until after the procedure. “No drama,” she says. Nate appears. Adam is compatible. They have their donor. Sharon sobs and Faith says, “It’s great.” Faith apologizes for being hard on her mama. Sharon laughs and remembers being hard on her own. Nick appears. He tells her he has lots of new Dad jokes. “Why do melons have weddings? Cause they can’t elope,” he says. Faith doesn’t laugh and Nick tells her that Sharon found that one funny. In the waiting room, Adam signs some paperwork and tries to reassure Rey that he can relax. He’s not going to try to escape. Adam taunts Rey that he thinks that it was better for him when he was underground and Rey tells him to shut up. Adam says it was miserable living in exile anyway. Sharon appears. Faith is asking for Adam. He visits her and she thanks him for what he’s doing. He knows that this doesn’t begin to make up for what he’s put her and her parents through. He blames himself for her life being harder than it should be. That’s never been his intention. He’s grateful she’s accepting his kidney as an apology because that’s what it is. Faith will do that. Rey watches from the door as Sharon smiles.

At the ranch, Nikki and Victor are happy to hear Adam’s a match for Faith and are about to head out when Chelsea hobbles in. Nikki leaves them and Chelsea demands to know where Connor is. She’s taking him seriously. Victor says she can’t think he’d harm his grandkid. He asks how she’ll explain to Connor why he missed all those years with his father. Chelsea knows he wants her confession but it’s not going to happen. “Time will tell,” Victor says, smugly. He wants the truth to come out. She’ll have to come clean or lose the chance to raise Connor. Chelsea says there’s no way for her to win. If she confesses, Adam will raise him. Victor will arrange for them all to win. He’ll dig for evidence to bury her if she doesn’t admit to it. He brings up Chloe’s name and reminds Chelsea that she has kids and doesn’t want to go to prison, either. “You bastard,” Chelsea whispers. They can be allies or enemies when the truth comes out.

Devon is in the lobby when Imani shows up and runs into Sutton. He’s upset that she didn’t show for his party. Devon texts Amanda that Imani’s going upstairs. Amanda lets Imani into her suite and Imani has an apology. She wants to start fresh. Amanda doesn’t believe a word she’s saying. Imani understands her skepticism. Her parents shot down all of her arguments. She now knows that Amanda won’t do anything to hurt the family. She wants to make it up for her, to help with the case and get to know her better. She’s a legal adviser and graduated law school though she didn’t take the bar. Amanda appreciates the apology but isn’t sure if she’ll allow her to help. Imani thanks her and goes. Devon arrives and says that he saw Imani and Sutton’s body language. It looked like they were conspiring. He’s shocked that Imani has done a 180. She fills her boyfriend in and says she may accept Imani’s offer to help. She knows there’s more to this than meets the eye.
Nikki arrives at the hospital. She offers to bring soup to Nick, but he declines. He tells her that Rey and Sharon are in Faith’s room alone. She will let them talk. In Faith’s room, she’s gone and Sharon cries as they talk about why Rey’s there, to arrest Adam after surgery. She says she talked to Adam this morning, to thank him. She thanks Rey for allowing him to do the surgery. Faith’s help is the top priority, Rey tells her. There’ll be time for him to arrest Adam later. She looks upset and he asks if she was hoping that he’d let Adam go after. He decides that this is a conversation they should not have now. Victor calls and tells him to come to his house immediately. He can’t. He needs to be there for Adam to arrest him. Victor knows it’ll take hours. Victor tells him, “Something happened with Chelsea. It’s going to change everything.” Outside, Phyllis turns up. Nikki reappears with soup. Phyllis sides with Nikki that Nick should eat. Nikki slips away and Phyllis asks how he got Adam to come here.

It’s Summer and Kyle’s engagement party night. Jack says a toast, “To Summer and Kyle, may this be the beginning of a marvelous new Abbott Newman union.” They raise glasses of champers.
Nate arrives to Faith’s room where Nick and Sharon ask if the transplant was a success.
At the ranch, Chelsea tells Rey, “You have to believe me. I am so, so sorry.” She cries. Rey asks if she’s trying to confess to something.
