In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Adam encourages Sharon to release her grief, Chance reveals that Rey had a heart attack while driving, and Victoria admits she does still love Ashland. In the previous episode, Sharon flashed back to loving moments with Rey and Tessa asked Sharon to walk her down the aisle.

At Crimson Lights, Billy worries about Victoria since he hasn’t heard from her since the car accident. Lily recalls her own and how the burden of the pain doesn’t go away. Billy’s sorry.
He wonders what Locke had to do with this one. He asks her help in getting Victoria away from the man. Lily calls what he did reprehensible but they’re not responsible for holding him accountable.
Billy accepts that. “You know how I can get.” She says, “Oh, yes I do.” He decides to sit this one out.
Victoria flashes back to the accident as she tries to work at Newman. Ashland shows up and she puts a hand to hear head and sighs. How did he get past security.
He dodged them easily. She asks what he wants. He’s checking on her since she’s ignoring his texts. She asks after his burn and his foot.
He hobbles around and says it’ll be fine. He tells her Harrison and Kyle are in town and they remember not seeing him since Tuscany.
She admits she keeps replaying the accident in her mind. She wonders if she’d have died if he didn’t save her, or if Rey would have lived if she never met Ashland.
Locke admits he too replays the events in his own mind — the things he should have said and done differently. He hopes she can forgive him since he claims he still loves her.
Victoria hobbles away and says he lied and betrayed her and the wounds are too fresh and deep for him to say things like that. “You caused this!” He knows.
He repeats that he fell in love with her, despite his scheming. She tells him to stop saying so. He thinks she’s terrified to admits she feels the same, but nobody’s around. He asks for the truth. “You want me to say that I still love you. Of course I still love you,” she confesses. It doesn’t matter.
Chance turns up and tells them he has questions about the case. This throws Locke, who wants to know if he thinks there’s more to it than being an accident.
Victoria fills Chance in on what she recalls from the accident and then Ashland recounts the events, how he followed her to ensure she got through the fog.
He saw headlights in their lane and Victoria swerved off the road. Locke reacted too late and their cars made contact. He slammed on the breaks and turned sideways and ran off the road.
Rey didn’t try to avoid the collision. Chance is confused. Rey knew how to drive in these conditions. He takes off.
Ashland notices Vicky has redecorated. She reveals she smashed the portrait. He thinks that sounds about right.
They talk about how she manipulated him into signing everything away and he thinks that she really had those feelings for him. He wants to get that moment back.
Imani sashays into Devon’s penthouse. She shows off her suit and Amanda admires it. Imani calls it her ‘good impression’ suit.
She’s ready for their meeting with Nate, Billy and Lily.
In their suite across the hall, Elena and Nate snuggle on the sofa. He nuzzles her neck and they talk about how short life is before they make out.
They talk more about Rey’s passing and how he made a huge impact on this world.
So many will miss him. Nate wonders if anyone is questioning the accident and Ashland. If he’s capable of faking cancer, was he also stalking Victoria on the road?
Did he cause the accident in order to be her Knight in Shining armour? She’s surprised he thinks it may be foul play.
Nate’s not jumping to conclusions but it looks bad. Later, Elena gives him a new tie which looks pretty much like the purple one he has on. He’s happy with it and she puts it on him.

At Sharon’s house, she finds Rey’s boots and cries. She loos around the room which is filled with baskets of food and beautiful flowers from well wishers. She dries tears and opens the door to Adam.
He stammers that he’s so sorry for her loss. He didn’t want to cause issue with her family and waited until the coast was clear.
He makes coffee for them and she tells him she’s coping by telling her that one day she’ll come to terms and start to heal. He tells her that’s a load of crap and to skip the platitudes.
He wants to know how she really feels. She tears up. She’s tired of people treating her like she’s fragile.
He’d never question her strength. She asks why Locke is still alive when Rey, who meant so much to so many and who was wonderful is dead. Adam knows he meant a lot to Connor.
She calls herself different with Rey. It was easy. “He loved me with all his heart.” She sobs and Adam tears up and reaches over and holds her.
He asks if she’s gotten it all out. If not, she can smash some treys. He tells her to replenish her energy with crackers.
She laughs and tosses them down. She hasn’t cried like that since Nick told her Rey died. “Wow,” Adam says. She’s got to let it out.
She can do it there with an old friend who wouldn’t judge, or cook herself into an early grave. “Non-stop pastries.” She can become an angry widow that’s so bitter it brings a CEO to their knees.
She smiles. He tells her to take time to cry and remember Rey loved her. She thanks him. He’ll always be there if she needs him.
Lily and Billy arrive at Devon’s. They talk about the injuries Victoria suffered and Rey’s senseless death. They all agree it’s a tragedy. They talk about how to deal with the changes to the company.
Nate wants a big bash. So does Lily, but Devon doesn’t. He likes low key and thinks Lily should be front and center. He likes being on the sidelines. Lily reminds him they’re joining forces.
They talk him up and he feels that things are happening so fast.
Chance turns up at Sharon’s. Adam’s sorry that he lost his partner. Chance thanks him. Rey was a good friend. Adam leaves and Chance tells her Rey’s autopsy report came in.
He thought she’d want to hear the truth about what happened that night. From him. Chance relays that Rey had a heart attack. Sharon’s shocked. He was so healthy. She was starting to think Ashland and Victoria were somehow responsible. Chance says nobody was to blame.
