Canadian Y&R day ahead recap for Tuesday, November 30, 2021 episode, which airs in the USA Wednesday, December 1. (Recaps live by 5:45 PM EST daily.) In the previous episode, Chance yelled at Abby for almost blowing his cover. In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Abby is able to convince Chance to come home, Jill goes to bat for Billy with Victor, and Lily considers Jill’s offer.
Jack’s shocked that Abby’s not ready to return home with them. Ashley says this is confidential but Chance is alive. “Oh my God,” Jack says, stunned. They ponder how this can be and Jack assumes they’ll be coming with them home. Ashley admits he wants to stay to finish his mission and avenge the death of his team members. Jack thinks Abby can talk him out of it. They argue about what will happen and repeat themselves. Jack wonders if they could go over Chance’s head so he’d be forced to leave.
At Kim’s, Kim asks if Abby’s mom is still there. Abby says she is going back to Genoa City and Chance is out for a walk. She needs Kim’s help in convincing to return home with her. Kim’s glad Abby came and she thinks Chance needs to be with her after all she’s gone through.
Chance listens at the door as Abby asks if Kim can tell him he’s too injured to go back into the field. Kim can’t lie. Abby argues that she needs her husband to come home with her. Kim says this is a decision they’ll make together. Chance shows himself and says his walk was good. It served its purpose. Kim gives them the room. Chance heard the conversation, he admits. He hates that this is hurting her.
She gushes about how he’s always fighting for what’s right and knows he wants to find justice but maybe there is an alternative. She brings up his injury and the compromised plan. Maybe there will be a new one. He’s irreplaceable to her and Dominic. “Aren’t we enough to change your mind?” As they talk she tells him, “It’s time you do right by me and Dominic,” she says, showing him his wedding band.
He asks her to forgive him for letting her think he was dead. “Of course,” she gushes. She’s already done so. She wore it on a chain close to her heart to feel close to him. She dreamed of the day she could return it to him. She takes it off and puts the ring on his finger.
She needs him to fight for their family. She takes a while to convince him and finally, he says, “Let me see the ring.” He puts it on and says, “Let’s go home.” He calls his director who is fine with him going home.
Kim comes out of the kitchen or wherever to say goodbye. She tells him he’s making the right call. She goes to pack some of Earl’s old clothes since it’ll be cold in Wisconsin. Abby calls her mama with the news that they’re going to the jet. Abby video calls Nina, who went to Australia to be with Philip.
Abby lets her know to keep this quiet and she turns the camera on Chance. Nina sees him and starts sobbing in shock. “Chance! Is that really you?” He tells her it is and they talk about how good it is to see each other as Nina cries her heart out.
Billy gets a drink at Society. Victor walks up and Billy says, “That explains it. I feel the joy being sucked out of the room.” Why is he there? Victor says he’s not wallowing in self-pity and his failures. Victor mocks him mercilessly. Billy says he’s not asking for mercy today. Victor grins wildly. He talks at length about Billy paying the consequences. Billy asks why he hates him so. Victor chuckles. “That’s an intriguing question. Why did the Macedonians hate the Persians? ”
Billy says, “Yes, what’s Tom’s problem with Jerry. What’s The Coyote’s problem with Road Runner?” Victor says he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he resents him. He’s like the guy born on third base and thinks he hit a triple. Victor reminds him Jill owns the company and she has sense and how to forget about her emotions when it comes to business. Billy agrees she’s savvy. He takes off, having had enough.
At the condo, Lily’s shocked when Jill asks if she’ll take over as CEO at Chancellor Industries. She has no time frame in mind. It’s why she’ll stay on as an advisor. Lily’s flattered. What happens to ChancComm and Billy? Jill says Billy screwed up and it was avoidable.
Lily agrees but were played by master manipulators. Billy still has a vision and skills. Jill says this isn’t the first time Billy’s ruined the company. Lily says they made decisions as a team but Jill knows her son. He used the company as a tool to exact revenge. Even he knows he did this. Lily groans.
She thinks Jill will regret this. Jill wants to focus on the future. Will Lily become CEO? Lily hasn’t made a decision. Jill says, “Catherine, that old bat, God rest her soul, she would have wholeheartedly agreed with my choice.” Also Neil would approve. Lily’s not sure what to do. Jill says Billy can work for her.
Lily asks to be co-CEO with him but Jill says no. He can’t call the shots or make decisions. “COO?” She tells Lily that she alone will be in charge. Lily worries about his needs. Jill is exasperated. “Stop putting my son’s needs ahead of your own.” Lily says, “That’s a little cold, Jill.” Jill tells her she can’t let her personal life stand in the way of her success. Jill says this upsets her but there are some risks not worth taking.

Y&R’s Melissa Claire Egan returns
Billy returns home. Jill can see he’s been drinking. He took a cab home. Jill says not to forget that she’ll always be his mother and always want the best for him. He knows. He doesn’t always think her opinion is right though. She smiles then heads out out give them space.
Billy’s shocked that is mama offered her the CEO job at Chancellor. “You’re gonna kill this,” he says. She’s grateful he says so but she has a lot of thinking to do. He tries to convince her to do it. He learns that Jill may be considering selling ChancComm.
He’s not surprised but is sad since it was their baby. They did a lot of good things there. Lily tells him about them working together. He realizes he’d be her subordinate. Billy feels like he’s losing everything but she lets him know he isn’t losing her. She wants him at Chancellor with her.
Victor sees Jill at Society. They sit together and he apologizes for Chance’s death. She calls him a hero and thinks he should be there with his child and wife. She learns that Abby was found. Victor is glad to hear it. They agree it’s hard being a concerned parent.
She brings up what he and Adam did to her son. She doesn’t like that the Locke story was true and that Victor went overboard to ruin Billy. Victor gives sympathy but Jill says she and Billy will be fine. He doubts Billy will be. He’s gone too far. They share a laugh when he asks what comes next. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” She takes off.
Jill returns to the Chancellor manse and takes a call from Jack. She’s happy Abby’s returning home. Jack promises things will be better when they get home. Billy arrives and tells her, “It didn’t take long for you to lose your faith in me, did it?” Jill looks saddened.
