Susan Walters Returns to Young and the Restless as Diane Jenkins (Photos)

A major return for Young and the Restless, certain to stir up the plot.

SoapsSpoilers has learned that Susan Walters will be making a shocking return to Young and the Restless this month.

Walters hasn’t been seen on Y&R since 2010 when she said goodbye to her role as Diane Jenkins in a final way.

We can confirm that Walters will be returning on March 23 in scenes with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang),  Julia Montgomery (Tanya) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), according to a post made by SoapWikiJohn.

This return is a huge surprise considering Diane was killed and her body was discovered in the lake at the park by Murphy (Michael Fairman).

Though it was revealed that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) killed Diane in self-defense, with a rock to the head. The role at the time was being portrayed by Maura West.

Walter’s last airdate was August 1, 2011.

If the character died, how the heck is Walters returning? Is she a doppelganger? She does give her name as Taylor Jensen on the March 23 Y&R recap

How is this character back from the dead? Did Days of our Lives’ Dr. Rolf pay a visit from Salem?

That all remains to be seen. Though it appeared as though she might be Allie’s mother, it turns out that Tanya (Julia Montgomery) the real estate agent introduces the two since Diane, or “Taylor,” wants to purchase Keemo’s house.

Could she have been the person stalking Allie at Keemo’s house or was that the real estate agent Allie hired to sell her dad’s house?

Walters was known for a small role as Lorna Forbes on Loving in 1983. She had a major recurring role in The Vampire Diaries as Carol Lockwood, and incidentally, has been married to Linden Ashby since 1996.

Ashby played Paul Hollingsworth on Days of our Lives, Cameron Kirsten on Young and the Restless, and Curtis Alden on Loving.
