Chelsea shows Connor around her new apartment. He’s glad she’s back. She looks forward to all the time they can spend together.
They talk about re-decorating his new room and all the fun they can have there.
He asks her to promise not to disappear again. She looks over at Adam.
After he joins them on the couch, she reminds her son that she was in the hospital last year. Connor asks if she’s sick again.
Adam reassures his son and asks him to give her time to display.
Chelsea takes her time explaining how lost and confused she was.
She thought she was over that but it came back worse so she thought it would be best to back to the hospital.
She asks him if knows what depression is.
He thinks it means sad and sobs, sorry that he hurt her.
Hugging his son, Adam assures him that none of this is his fault.
Chelsea backs that up and points out things are already turning around.
They miss Rey and she admits it was hard for her when Johnny didn’t embrace her being his biological mom.
She was hoping he could be part of his family and make it better than it already is.
She’s working really hard with her doctor to figure out how to get better.
“Is it over now?” Connor asks.
His mom explains that it’s an illness and she’ll have to learn to manage it. That takes time.
When he asks how bad it got, she takes a deep breath and explains it was very bad.
The pain was unbearable, and she wanted it to stop.
“It was so bad you wanted to die?” he guesses, telling them he knows what it means to “unalive” yourself.
They’re not wild about what he’s been reading online but she admits there was a moment when the pain was so great, she couldn’t feel the wonderful things in her life.
She doesn’t feel that way anymore and will work hard not to feel that way again.
Hugging her, Connor offers to help.
They tell him how important honesty is and Chelsea promises not to keep anything else from him.
Adam tells him he doesn’t need to feel ashamed or embarrassed for his mother.
Chelsea tells him she’s getting treatment and getting better.
Connor asks to spend the night with his mom. His father leaves to get his stuff.
The kid tells his mom he doesn’t know what he would do if something bad happened.
She assures him it won’t. Her job is to look after him and it’s the best job in the world.
When Tucker wanders into Society, Phyllis twirls in her chair and offers to buy him a drink.
Once he gets a drink, she toasts to him and his help taking Diane down.
She wonders why he’s back in Genoa City.
He claims his sole focus is Ashley.
He’s missed her and figured he could slip back in with the Abbotts as easily as Diane has.
Diane bursts into Jack’s office at Jabot and demands to know why he hasn’t been answering her calls.
He’s busy and doesn’t have time for her drama.
She insists he needs to listen to what she has to say.
Jack isn’t interested in whatever fresh hell she’s bringing. Diane warns him about Tucker.
She admits that he asked her to get him financial papers about Jabot so he could exploit their weaknesses.
She never gave him anything.
Jack is furious and demands to know why she is telling him this now.
She insists that she had no intention of collaborating with McCall on this.
Jenkins wanted to set a trap for him and catch him red-handed.
She explains that Tucker has threatened to use Jeremy against her.
He’s about to be released and Nikki, Phyllis, and Ashley want to convince him that she put him away.
He appreciates her giving him the truth so he can prepare to deal with McCall.
She admits she’s held back on giving their son the details because she was afraid he would confront Tucker directly.
Jack asks if she had a hand in putting Jeremy behind bars.
She admits she made a deal and got immunity for turning him in.
Diane tells him no one else can know and his sister is making things worse.
Diane walks into Society, catching Phyllis and Tucker together.
She tells them that she has Jack and Kyle in her corner and they can’t compete.
“This has officially turned into a war!” she declares.
