In this episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Chelsea reaches out to Lily, Victoria and Nick argue about Nate, and Nate asks Elena to come back to Newman Media. In the previous episode, Chance asked Abby for a divorce, and Lily thought Billy was chasing a high with Chelsea.

Nick wanders into his sister’s office at Newman. Victoria tells him she had a conversation with Nate about the career advice he gave him,
Nick insists he just suggested he watch his back and she accuses him of undermining her new CEO.
At the very least, he should have left his concerns between them. Nick insists he’s calling things like he sees them.
He doesn’t trust Nate at all and worries about what will happen when he looks for more power in the company.
His sister tells him he’s looking at this all the wrong way. People who want your job are guaranteed to work hard.
Nick thinks she sounds like their dad. She thinks it would be boring without danger.
She expects him to back her decisions.
Clearly, her decision to replace Sally is still sticking to him.
She doesn’t want to see Sally hurt him.
Adam wanders into Society and spots Sally at the bar.
She doesn’t want a replay of their last encounter. He assures her that he is sober.
When he asks if she celebrated Thanksgiving in the traditional way, she admits she just had takeout and a movie.
He had a quiet meal with Chelsea and Connor.
When he asks to join her, she makes it clear she’s waiting for Nick.
Adam apologizes for coming to her suite and lashing out.
She thanks him for the apology but she’s not sure she can forgive and forget.
That’s disappointing to him, but he gets it.
Sally wants them to move on and put the negativity behind them.
Adam keeps apologizing and she reminds him of all the nasty things he said about Nick.
He won’t claim that the things he said about his brother aren’t true.
But that’s irrelevant because the reasons they should be together has nothing to do with Nick.
His proposal still stands. Adam is sure they belong together, and nothing will change his mind about that.
She wonders why he’s doing this.
He insists it’s because he loves her, and she understands him.
Sally asks him to stop saying that. When they were together, she didn’t really know him.
It turned out that everything everyone said about him was true.
He broke her heart, and this hail Mary proposal is only making it worse.
Adam says they have the love of a lifetime and is sure she’s thought about them getting married.
She did when they were happy but now he’s torturing her. She can’t and won’t go back.
He claims he can see her in all her depths and layers. The woman he sees will never exchange all that excitement for safety.
When she spots Nick, she crosses over to him and asks him to eat.
He grits his teeth when he sees Adam.
After he and Sally get a table, she tells him about all the ideas she’s had for her interior design business. Nick keeps glaring at Adam.
Nick commends her for being so resilient. He knows she’s trying to distract him with small talk.
On his way out, Adam thanks her for the chance to clear the air.
Nick asks what that was about. She claims he just apologized.
He can see she’s on edge and doesn’t blame her. How does she really feel about his brother’s proposal?
She’s tired of talking about Adam. Nick offers to listen to her whenever she wants to talk about it.
They talk about Thanksgiving. Dinner for one was just what she needed.
He had a great time with his family. Everything was drama free.
At their penthouse, Nate and Elena chat about her meeting with Lily. She admits she worries there are still residual resentments from his family that will be directed at her.
Devon has seemed pretty judgy lately.
Nate suggests she come back to Newman Media and do her podcast with them.
She reminds him of all the trouble they went through to get her out of her Newman contract.
Nate makes a pitch anyway. She thinks following him to Newman would be putting salt in Lily and Devon’s wounds. She feels loyalty to them.
Nate asks about her loyalty to him and tells her how much Victoria will let him soar.
“Join me on the journey,” he says.
When he says he hopes she gives it some thought, he invites her to LA with him.
“We do work really well together,” he says. She wants things to go back to the way they used to be.
They kiss.

Lily bumps into Billy at Crimson Lights.
She reminds him he accused her of having a savior complex.
He points out she accused him of the same thing.
Lily still thinks she was right. He wants to talk so they can fix things.
They get a booth, and he tells her how bad he feels about their argument. He hates that his involvement with Chelsea is causing so much tension.
She cares about Chelsea too and it hurt her when he said she was being petty.
He’s been keeping her on the outside and making her unable to know how to react.
Lily admits that Chelsea seems to be occupying his thoughts and holding the important place in his head.
Taking her hand, he assures her that he loves her, and she is the most important thing in his life.
Once he gets Chelsea through this, he will give her his full attention.
She’s sure there is still more to this than just him helping Chelsea. What is he searching for?
He hasn’t had time to figure that out because of Chelsea.
Lily feels like she doesn’t want him involved. He assures her that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Upstairs, Chelsea sleeps on the couch and wakes up with a start. After she makes coffee, she sends Lily a text, asking her to talk.
Downstairs, Lily is surprised to get the text and wonders what it’s about.
Billy asks if she is going to talk to her.
After she takes off, Victoria shows up.
Billy strides over and asks how Johnny is. When he tells her that what she did with Nate was despicable.
She groans.
He wonders why she would do such a thing to Chancellor-Winters. She claims she was doing things just so they could all work together.
Billy is sure her father would be proud of her.
She points out Katherine would be too.
He thinks she’s rationalizing, and she thinks it’s good he stepped away from the corporate world.
After she’s gone, Sharon pops up and chats with Billy about Chelsea.
He admits he feels like he’s been paying too much attention to Chelsea.
He thanks her for all her help.
She knows she wouldn’t have gotten better without help so this is her way of paying it forward.
When he worries he has a savior complex, she’s reassuring and warns him that burnout is a real thing.
Adam wanders in to check on his ex. Billy explains she’s speaking to Lily and they need space.
Lily visits Chelsea, who claims she is getting stronger and more confident since Billy saved her.
She’s sure Lily has missed out on a lot of time with him because of her and she’s sorry about that.
Lily says they are both glad she’s on the mend.
Chelsea doesn’t want any misunderstandings and thinks everything should be transparent. She’s ready to answer any questions she might have.
Lily thanks her for being so straightforward and admits she doesn’t understand what’s going on.
Chelsea says she’s been reaching out to people and she owes Billy everything because he gave her another chance at life.
Lily tells her not to give him all the credit. She’s worked really hard to get where she is. It’s better she have a group of people to support her rather than just Billy.
Chelsea knows he needs to focus on his own life and thinks he’s lucky to have her.
“I’m rooting for you,” Lily says, hoping she builds a new life for herself.
When Lily heads downstairs, Sharon leads Adam away from Billy.
Lily tells Billy about her conversation with Chelsea. She feels like she understands things better now.
She was sure to remind Chelsea she has other people to rely on. He thinks she said all the right things.
Lily thinks she understands things better after the talk.
After she heads off to Society to get them a table, he calls Chelsea but she won’t pick up.
He leaves a message, asking her to give him a call.
