In the Friday, October 8, 2021, full episode recap of Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge thinks Deacon is a lost cause, Steffy and Finn share a little interrupted romance, and Deacon meets up with Sheila. Soaps Spoilers has Thursday’s B&B recap where Deacon’s return was met with scorn.
Finn and Steffy make out in the living room until the baby cries. She’s crushed that their romantic interlude is delayed. Later, the baby’s asleep and Finn says he has the magic touch. He says he told one of his dad jokes. “He fell right asleep.” The place is filled with candles and Finn admits he made a playlist of her favorite songs. Steffy laughs. They profess their love and think they’re good at marriage. She brings up Steffy being out of their lives and Finn looks sad. Later, Steffy’s holding the baby. She hopes Finn understands why they can’t have Sheila in their lives.
In the cabin, Deacon tells Brooke that he’s trying to get to know Hope and thinks she’s a grown woman who is entitled to speak for herself. Brooke basically calls Deacon a waste of space and Ridge says Hope is a good person because he was never around. Liam urges Deacon to go and Hope stops them. “Wait. I have something to say.” She apologizes for blindsiding everyone and amusing Deacon. Brooke understands that she wants to see the best in people but she can’t be vulnerable to Deacon. Ridge agrees. He conned his way into her life. He didn’t raise her. Deacon admits to all of his mistakes and says he came to see her. He’s proud of her and thinks she deserves success. This means a lot to him but he loves her too much to cause pain. He tells them he won’t cause trouble. He’ll take off. He will never stop loving her because she’s his daughter. Ridge asks, “Where did you rehearse that, on the bus?” Liam and Brooke join Ridge in mocking him. “Just leave, Deacon. That’s something you’re good at.” Deacon takes his bag and goes. Ridge is glad to see the “lowlife criminal” leave. Liam didn’t even know that she was in contact with him. They all attack and she asks if any of them trust her judgment. Liam says they don’t trust him. Brooke begs her not to have more to do with Deacon.

Deacon sits at the hotel bar and hits on Molly. She’s taken. He asks her for a soda and lime. He changes his order to tequila. Sheila moseys up to the seat beside him and orders a dirty vodka martini. They realize they know each other. She can’t believe they let him out of jail. He thought they carted her away in a straitjacket. “They loved me in the joint. I knew the guards. I had them wrapped around my finger.” She reminds him of his schemes and he tells her he’s a boy scout compared to her. She asks why he’s in such a crappy mood if he just got out of the clink. He explains about Ridge and Brooke not wanting him to be a part of his daughter’s life. Sheila can’t believe she’s going through the same issue. They call the Forresters so high and mighty. “They act like they’ve never done anything wrong in their privileged lives.” Sheila asks Dacon, “Are we really that bad?” He shoots her a look and she says, not to answer that. She suggests that they work together. He’s creeped out. He got a chill up his spine. “Yeah, what spine?” She asks, taking a sip. She urges him not to give up. She’s not. She plans on being part of her son’s life. They ponder how they can get what they want. Sheila wants to work together against the Forresters. She barks out a laugh as she thinks they don’t stand a chance.
