In the Thursday, May 12, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon stops by to check on Brooke, and Sheila tries to convince Taylor that Steffy is delusional.

At the cliff house, Steffy calls Sheila a deranged lunatic. Sheila is confused about why they are treating her like this when they are family. “The truth is out!” Steffy declares, calling her a murderer and accusing her of killing her own son.
Sheila claims this is crazy and asks Taylor to stop it. The doctor insists she stay and answer for what she’s done. “You’re wrong,” Sheila says, accusing them of being delusional and disgusting.
She repeats that she loved her son and would never deliberately end his life. If she had done it, why would she have run to the hospital and stuck by so close?
Steffy says that she’s crazy; she can’t explain why she does anything.
Sheila reminds them all that Steffy thought she was still married to Liam. Her memories are not infallible. After blocking out the pain of being shot, she’s trying to put the piece back together.
Of course she is going to blame the woman who shot her mother and took her away from her family. She accuses her of just looking for someone to blame.
Steffy repeats that she was there and remembers what happened.
Sheila insists this isn’t real. Ridge tells his daughter she’s trying to confuse her. Shaking, Sheila claims she’s never been in this kind of pain before. It’s like hell on earth.
All she wanted was to have her son in her life. She reminds Taylor she tried to take her own life.
“Steffy’s mind is tainted,” Sheila tells Taylor, begging her to believe her. The doctor opens her mouth but isn’t sure what to say. Sheila reminds her she saved her life.
Steffy is confused. Her mom explains that Sheila saved her from falling off the roof. Ridge thinks she’s looking for a loyalty cookie when she’s just a sick, twisted, killer.
Sheila admits that while she may have done things she’ll regret, she’s not evil. What happened that night will always haunt her. She accuses Steffy of being out of her mind with grief.
That makes Taylor snap. She’s been trying to get the family to understand the pain she’s been in. She shakes her head as Sheila insists that she has served her time and tried to make amends.
Sheila complains that she will never have a chance to redeem herself thanks to a senseless act of violence. She begs Taylor to speak up for her.
Taylor isn’t about to make her daughter doubt her own memory. “I don’t believe you at all,” she tells her. She’s certain that Steffy is right and Sheila is the killer.
When Sheila repeats she’s innocent, Steffy groans and describes what happened. “Finn’s blood is on your hands!” she says.
Ridge tells Sheila that if she’d been punished for what she’s done in the past, this wouldn’t have happened. When he calls her a “filthy animal” and threatens to put her behind bars, she finally confesses she did it.
Sheila says she never would have harmed Finn on purpose. He was her last chance to have a relationship with one of her children. But Steffy would never allow that and kept threatening her.
Steffy says Hayes will hate her for the rest of his life. Sheila tells Steffy that she’s the one who took Finn away. None of this would have happened if she’d been more compassionate.
“I didn’t chase after you. You came at me. Finn would still be here if it weren’t for you,” she repeats, putting all the blame on Steffy. “Finn’s blood is on your hands, Steffy!”
Steffy screams it’s not and Ridge holds her back.

Brooke is at home with Hope. They talk about all the attention that Steffy has been receiving from the men in their lives. Hope reminds her mom she suffered a terrible tragedy.
Deacon shows up, much to his daughter’s delight. Brooke rocks back and forth on the sofa. He assumes Brooke is waiting for Ridge to come to his senses and return to her.
It burns him up that two fabulous women aren’t being treated better than they are.
He turns the topic to the shooting… and Sheila. They are surprised he’s been spending time with her. He explains she’s been alone and distraught since losing her son.
Brooke says that as a mom, she feels sorry for her.
Deacon explains that Taylor called Sheila and invited her over. She thinks it will be her chance to be welcomed into Hayes’ life.
