In the Tuesday, October 4, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Liam worries his nagging has failed, Steffy encourages her mom to have faith, and Ridge tells Thomas Brooke lied to his face.
We also have Monday’s B&B recap where Taylor left for Aspen and Ridge finally believed Brooke called CPS.
Thomas sketches in his office at Forrester Creations. He’s distracted by a picture of Hope.
Ridge enters and gruffly says Brooke lied to him again and didn’t admit to calling CPS. Thomas is shocked she wouldn’t confess after they heard her voice.
Frustrated, Ridge hits the desk. He gave Brooke a chance to come clean, but she claimed ignorance.
Thomas thinks that’s a new low for her. Ridge didn’t see any point in saying anything after she lied to his face. He stares at a photo of Brooke and then leaves to find a place to think.
Once he’s gone, Thomas spills some coffee on his shirt. He takes it off in time for Hope to walk through the door and announce she heard about the situation with CPS.
Once he’s found a fresh shirt, he guesses why she’s there and explains about the apple cutting event and how it resulted in CPS showing up. Douglas took it in stride.
Hope makes it clear she’s not upset with him and knows he wouldn’t put his son in harm’s way. That’s incredible for him to hear considering the things he’s done.
He thanks her.
At home, Brooke calls to make arrangements for a cabana at the beach. She tells Liam she and Ridge need a night alone listening to the waves.
He wonders where his wife is. If she’s at the office, she’s with Thomas. He’s tempted to go check on her. Brooke suggests Thomas could be inventing work to keep her there.
They rehash their doubts about Thomas changing. Brooke will never be able to trust him.
Both of them think Thomas is in the driver’s seat of this situation. Liam worries that his nagging hasn’t been enough to convince Hope she should be worried.
Brooke says it’s time Thomas realizes he can’t have whatever he wants. They need to keep warning Hope.
He calls the office and gets confirmation Hope went to Thomas’ office. They speculate on what they could be talking about.
Brooke knows she has to be careful about what she says regarding Thomas because it could blow up in her face with Ridge.

B&B opinion: Trashing Brooke, and that #$% apple
When Ridge mopes into Eric’s house, he looks around and sighs. Heading out to the patio, he looks at the sky, sighs, and shakes his head, wondering why Brooke has done this to him.
They’ve forgiven each other for so many things but they are in the same place again. What is he doing with his life? What is his destiny?
He flashes back over the past few months with Taylor and recalls Steffy encouraging him to reunite with her mom.
Then he thinks of his life with Brooke. That gets sour when he remembers her claiming she has no idea who called CPS.
A pinecone falls. Ridge picks it up and smiles.
Steffy and Taylor are on Bill’s jet to Aspen.
She senses her mom isn’t alright.
“Just overthinking about overthinking.” Taylor says. When her daughter brings up Ridge, her mom stops her, saying, “Please! You’re killing me.”
She wants more for herself than this and Ridge would want that too.
Steffy vents about “destiny” and says the only thing Brooke and Ridge are destined for is heartbreak.
Steffy encourages her mom to believe in Ridge.
Taylor assures her that her kids and grandkids make her happy. She knows the life she wants with Ridge isn’t possible.
Othello (played by Othello Clark) drops Taylor and Steffy off at the house.
Taylor decides coming there was a good idea.
It should give her a fresh perspective.
Her daughter doesn’t think she needs that.
She’s sure Ridge’s marriage will end, and it will be Brooke’s doing.
