In the Thursday, July 7, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Jack tells Taylor how much he misses his son, Thomas tries to cheer up his mom, and Ridge keeps Brooke company in a blackout.
We also have Wednesday’s B&B recap where Sheila confessed to Finn that she shot him and he remembered the night it happened.
At Brooke’s, she’s relieved that Ridge showed just up as the power went out and she hurt her ankle. She knows there’s loads of security out there but still worried Sheila was after her.
He checks and the whole neighborhood is in blackout. She tells him it’s just the two of them cut off from the rest of the world. Things are cozy thanks to him. Ridge assures her she doesn’t need to worry about Sheila when he’s around.
Brooke goes on about how hard it is when he’s not there. It wasn’t just disappointing herself but seeing him in pain that was hard. He tells her he can’t sleep. He will always be there.
She never meant to betray him. He insists it was a betrayal, but he knows she wouldn’t have kissed Deacon if she was sober. Looking at her hurt, Ridge wants to help her and asks what she would say if he wanted to come home.
Those are the words she’s been waiting to hear.
“I want to come home…if you’ll have me,” he says. “Of course,” she says. They kiss. She says they is a step in the right direction, or a “hobble” at least. They agree to live in the moment and get back to kissing.
At Steffy’s, Taylor looks at pictures of Finn and her daughter and sighs. Thomas arrives with flowers for his mom. She thanks him and really needed the pick-me-up.
She’s been looking at pictures of happier days. Finn is gone now and she wishes he was still alive. After putting the flowers in a vase, she tells him about chatting with his sister. He misses her but is glad she’s out of town. It’s safer.
Jack shows up. He’s been laying low but says there’s something oddly comforting about being in Finn’s home. Taylor says he’s always welcome. They talk about how crazy it is that Sheila hasn’t been found.
“I miss my boy so much,” he sobs. Some days he can’t even get out of bed. Taylor’s sorry. They ask about Li. He explains she cut him out of his life after he told her of his affair with Sheila.
No one knows where Li put Finn to rest. Jack needs to see her and grieve with her. The doctor knows how traumatic losing a child is and she’s sure Li is “drowning in grief.”
Once Jack leaves, Thomas says, “Poor guy. It was his only child.”

At the hideaway, Finn remembers Sheila shooting him. She insists it was an accident and begs him to believe her. It was all a mistake because she loves him and would never do anything to harm him.
His eyes dart around as he recalls her shooting his wife. She guesses he’s angry, but Steffy wouldn’t listen, even when she asked her nicely to back off. Coughing, he asks about his son. She assures him Hayes is fine.
Finn flatly asks if she hurt his wife. Sheila says his wife is fine and away on vacation. She explains that everyone thinks he’s dead. He wants to go to a hospital. That’s not going to happen while things are complicated, but she assures him he will see Steffy again.
“Need my wife,” he groans. She tells him the doctors left him for dead and she saved his life. He asks for Li. “I’m your mother,” she insists. She’s never given up on him and now he has a new lease on life.
“Mommy’s here baby,” she coos. “Steffy,” he groans. “Dammit Finn! Just do what mommy says!” she snaps. She apologizes and tells him how confused she feels, what with all the miracles.
When he demands to see his wife now, she refuses and says he’ll have his whole life with them. For now, he is with her. In his mind, Finn realizes he’s stuck with a crazy woman. But he’s alive and needs to find a way to get to his wife.
