In the Monday, May 2, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy’s family welcomes her home, Kelly calls Liam over, and Hope vents to Brooke.
We also have Friday’s B&B recap where Steffy was released from the hospital and Deacon asked Sheila to tell him everything.
Steffy’s place is filled with pastel balloons. Taylor admires the signs Kelly has made to welcome her mom back. The doctor tells Thomas how lucky they are that Steffy is on the way home/
Ridge wheels her in and Kelly shows her the sign. “Mummy’s home,” Steffy tells her little girl. As she sits down with Hayes, Kelly hands her a bouquet. Thomas offers to get lollipops for everyone.
Steffy gets somber as she spots a photo of Finn. The men lead the kids to the kitchen and Steffy asks her mom how Hayes will ever understand that his father is never coming home.
In the cabin, Liam tells Hope that it only took three books to get their daughter to sleep. Douglas is at a sleepover so she says they finally have the chance to decompress.
She tries handing him some wine but he keeps worrying about Steffy and how her release will affect Kelly. His wife assures him that Steffy knows he is supportive and he can see her in the morning.
Kelly calls him and tells him her mom is home. She asks him to come over. “If course, I’ll come,” he says. Hope forces a smile. Her husband explains he can’t say no to his daughter and promises to be home soon.
As soon as Liam steps out, she dumps his wine into hers. Brooke arrives, surprised to see Liam gone. Sitting down, Hope says that Steffy surviving is something to celebrate.
She’s sure Ridge is throwing a party or something… but she still wishes he wasn’t staying in Steffy’s guesthouse. Brooke thinks it will be an incredible homecoming. Hope admires what a brave face Steffy is putting on.
Back at Steffy’s, she tells her mom that Finn being gone forever doesn’t make sense. Her mom tells her how unfair it is. They can’t imagine how scared he must have been in his last moments.
Taylor encourages her to focus on the light tonight. The men and children return and everyone sucks lollipops while Steffy thanks Kelly for taking care of her little brother.
Liam shows up and his daughter leaps in his arms. He comments it’s nice to see Steffy back in her home with all the people who love her.
Back at the cabin, Hope gets a text from Liam saying he will be at Steffy’s late. Brooke thinks its admirable he is spending time with his family, but Hope is still is wife.
Taking a swig, Hope admits that she overheard some of the same old “Steffy you will always have a place in my heart” stuff from Liam at the hospital. Thomas arrives in time to overhear this.
He came to pick up something for Douglas. He’s not surprised that Liam was saying he will always love Steffy.
After Brooke leaves, Thomas reminds Hope that Liam has always loved Steffy. He knows she is a compassionate person and he worries she will get hurt by her husband caring for his ex.
Thomas does not want to see her in the same position as her mom: a woman with a man whose heart is split between two women.

Over at the cliff house, Liam has put the kids to bed and then admires how good Steffy is looking. She feels like she was hit by a semi and thanks him for coming by. He tells her that Kelly called him over.
Steffy wishes she knew who shot her. Ridge and her mom know she’s grieving but urge her to be gentle with herself. She thinks they could use some rest too and encourages them to go to bed.
Once Ridge and Taylor have gone to their rooms, Steffy thanks Liam for being there. Kelly returns and says how great it is to see her parents together. She and Liam say having Steffy back is the best.
After Kelly gives her mom a hug goodnight, Liam takes her off for one last story before bed. Left alone, Steffy sobs.
When Liam returns, Steffy worries that the situation has affected Kelly more than they realize. He’s sure she will sleep more soundly knowing she is in the other room. “Please don’t go,” she begs.
This is her first night without Finn and she doesn’t want to do it alone. There are memories of Finn everywhere she looks but he’s never coming back. She feels like she’s suffocating and her heart is being ripped out.
Liam promises not to go. Finn is irreplaceable but she needs to focus on the people in her life she can lean on. He will always be there for her. She kisses his cheek and he strokes her hair.
