In the Wednesday, January 20, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Douglas shares the whole story about seeing Brooke kissing Santa, while Carter and Paris get closer. We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Ridge and Hope were supportive of Brooke and Taylor started to become suspicious of Sheila.
At the cabin, Hope and Liam try to wrap their brains around what their kid is talking about when he repeats that he saw Grandma kissing Santa. They think he’s talking about a movie but he becomes frustrated and says it was Santa, kissing Grandma.
Liam asks if it was Christmas Eve or the night that they talked about the clock striking midnight. Douglas confirms it was the latter and is sorry he went looking for his rabbit and left the house when he was told not to. Hope tells him to promise he’ll never do it again.
They’re not angry but he can see they’re worried. They deny that. They know Grandma didn’t go right to sleep that night. Douglas asks if they’re upset he saw her with Santa. Liam says they’re concerned he may have the dates wrong.
He claims he gets confused with Christmas and New Year’s and Douglas once again confirms it was New Year’s eve. Hope asks him to repeat his entire story to her. He does so, still frustrated. They thank him and send him off to do his homework.
They wonder what the heck the kid is on about. Hope thinks it’s time to have a conversation with her mother.
At the house, Brooke regrets New Year’s more than Ridge knows. He asks how he can help make it better. They kiss as he tells her he’ll do anything, go to a hundred AA meetings with her. They kiss. She wonders how she got so lucky to have him.
He’s not sure but he needs her more than she needs him, he claims. She doesn’t know how he can even put up with her. Ridge says he’s in love with this gorgeous blonde woman for better or for worse.
They talk about her trigger. Brooke thinks it’s important to find out what it was. She wishes she could erase that night and have a redo. He thinks if he had been there it’d have been different. She wishes he was, more than he knows.
They rehash things and he is angry at himself for wanting to be a big man at work. He wants to be a better person for her and tells her how much he loves her. They embrace again. Brooke starts to cry. Later, Ridge goes and Hope sneaks in through the patio.
She scares Brooke. She asks if her mom came clean with her about everything New Year’s Eve and fills Brooke in on Douglas seeing her kiss Santa Claus.
Brooke flashes to kissing Deacon and starts crying. Hope gets upset and demands her mom tell her what happened. Brooke’s quiet so Hope keeps making demands. “Mom, answer me. Please.”

Carter shows Paris his penthouse. She notices how orderly it is and they get to work on looking at her investments. She’s blown away by her financials. He tells her she’s building quite the nest egg for herself. She’s so grateful to him.
He’s been so incredible to her. He calls her easy to root for. He calls her the perfect fit to run the foundation. She’s loving it but doesn’t know what she’d do without his guidance with this or Zende.
What makes her realize she’s not ready for marriage is that she can’t stop thinking about their kiss. She grins at him and they tell each other they like how things have been building up between them. Since neither can get that kiss out of their minds, they lean in and make out.
Paris pulls away. She thinks things could get complicated. He knows. They move in for more kissing.
