In the Thursday, June 23, 2022, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge asks Zende about his relationship woes, and Eric prods Quinn about Carter.

At Forrester Creations, Zende and Ridge are debating the lines on the latest dress Petra’s been modeling. She starts flirting with Zende and then double-checks if he’s finished with Paris. He confirms she’s seeing someone else.
Once Petra’s gone, Ridge asks Zende why he’s not out every night. Zende is looking for something more meaningful. Ridge can see how much he misses Paris.
They talk about how surprising Carter and Paris is. Grace is certainly upset. Zende isn’t exactly okay with it either. He wishes them all the best but thinking about them together is tough, especially since Carter is his friend.
Carter sits in his office and thinks about his affair with Quinn. Paris interrupts by leaping his lap and kissing him, reminding him he’s her handsome fiance.
Her mom bursts in and yelps at him to take his hands off her girl. She tells her daughter the future she wants is not going to be with Carter. He backs away as Paris shows off her engagement ring.
Grace fumes. Paris tells her that Carter proposed last night and they are getting married this week. “This is not happening,” Grace says. Her daughter isn’t asking for permission and wishes she would just be happy for her.
Grace repeats that Carter is wrong for her. Carter knows this may seem fast but he wants to start a future with her daughter right now. She wants to know what the rush is.
If he’s so sure about their future, he should be giving Paris a real courtship. Paris insists he loves her. Carter understands her mom being protective. She can think of quite a few reasons they should be waiting.
Paris asks to speak to her mom in private so he exits. Her mom tells her this is all wrong. That man is running her into a quickie wedding. She wishes she could be happy for her but Carter has a questionable history.
“This isn’t going to end well,” she warns. Paris insists that Carter is not like her father. Grace wishes she could have taught her what a loving and committed relationship looks like.
Carter may be saying all the right words, but she’s not buying it.
Carter heads down the hall and drops off some paperwork to Ridge. The Forrester asks why he had to hear from Grace that there’s a new woman in his life. Does he really want a future with Paris?
“I have to now,” Carter says, explaining he proposed to her. Ridge is baffled. Carter doesn’t see the point in the rush and insists this is the first thing that has made sense in a long time.
Ridge will support him as soon as he can understand what he’s actually doing. Is Paris really the love of his life, the woman he has been dreaming of? He’s seen him in love and is sure he still loves Quinn.

Sitting at home, Quinn flashes back to distancing herself from Carter and telling him that proposing to Paris would be a mistake. Eric snaps her out of it to ask if she wants some lunch.
He wonders what’s on her mind. She’s been thinking about how a mistake can change the direction of your entire life.
She’s also been thinking about their marriage. It made her sure of herself, like she belonged. She wants to feel that way again and hopes he does too. Quinn’s surprised he doesn’t go to the club every day.
Eric assures her that everyone wants to feel appreciated and secure. She needs love and passion too. You can’t just snap your fingers and make that happen. Trust takes a long time to build.
He wonders if she’s referring to Carter. She tells him that he took a ring she was working on and used it to propose to Paris. Eric had no idea they were together.
Quinn is sure Paris is smitten but Carter doesn’t feel the same way. He just wants a future with someone. Eric asks if he’s said anything to make her question his commitment to Paris.
He can see it’s impulsive but Carter has been looking for a long time. He’s glad he’s taking a leap. Quinn says love can make you do reckless things. “What better reason?” he says.
Eric knows she still cares about Carter and worries he’s committing to a woman he doesn’t love.
